Now that things are looking good for Republicans in November, victory is within reach.

There are few people who are more capable of getting a rise out of folks on the left and right than Ann Coulter but with the stakes so high, she makes an excellent point in her newest column:

Ann Coulter appeared on the John Stossel show, and the video is getting a lot of attention.  There was a vigorous back and forth on a variety of issues.

The students in the audience were libertarian, sharing many of the social values of modern liberals without the statist oppressiveness.

This is the sort...

On Thursday afternoon, November 8, 2012, a Facebook event page went live announcing that the Fordham College Republicans were bringing Ann Coulter to speak at the university.

By late the next afternoon the event was canceled, after a wild and threatening liberal reaction which worried both the University and the Fordham Republicans, and...

There is a reason we have been focusing on the cancellation of Ann Coulter’s speech at Fordham, in which the President of the University, Father Joseph McShane, publicly shamed the College Republican’s for inviting her, then reveled in their apology and request for forgiveness.

President McShane’s statements were, according to Greg Lukianoff, President of...

Just when you thought the controversy over the Fordham Republicans rescinding their invitation to Ann Coulter couldn’t get any weirder …

A group of law professors at Fordham Law School exchanged high-fives over Coulter’s departure, then quickly segued into demanding that the University fund the Vagina Monologues, pro-abortion groups, and other oppressed,...

Fordham Republicans v. Coulter:

The College Republicans regret the controversy surrounding our planned lecture featuring Ann Coulter. The size and severity of opposition to this event have caught us by surprise and caused us to question our decision to welcome her to Rose Hill… We hope the University community will forgive the...

“Father McShane isn’t available for an interview, I’m afraid”

That’s the response I have received so far to my multiple requests for an interview with the Fordham University President, Father Joseph M. McShane.

Among other things, I wanted to ask him why he chose uniquely to publicly shame the Fordham Republicans and Ann Coulter, while the University welcomes infanticide supporter Peter Singer.

I...

Ann Coulter’s fragging

Ann Coulter’s Romney-promoting long ago went far beyond Romney promoting, into cheap shots against the Tea Party movement and just about anyone who was not on Team Romney.  Much like the caustic Jennifer Rubin, insulting the people Romney will need to unite behind him seems to be Coulter’s schtick.

My prior posts from this...

Confirmed: Romneycare template for Obamacare

I read the analysis below, and then I look at the hyperbolic rhetoric about how Mitt Romney is the most electable and Newt must be destroyed, and I just shake my head in disbelief.

Via James Pethokoukis:

It’s one thing when Newt Gingrich or Rick Santorum say Romneycare was the inspiration for Obamacare....

It’s no secret that Ann Coulter is no fan of Newt Gingrich. The staunch Romney supporter isn’t shy about conveying her dissatisfaction with Gingrich in general, and particularly with his straight forward, and occasionally harsh manner of speaking.

Back in December, while the Romney Super PACs were in the midst of engag...

Having called the Tea Party birthers and Newt Ahmadinejad, Ann Coulter has identified another way of demonizing and belittling someone who is not Mitt Romney:

As a two-time senator from a light-blue state, Rick Santorum is not as obviously unelectable as the rest. But don’t leap too fast, Republicans. Remember how Rick Perry broke...

Who would have expected it.  Ann Coulter in her endorsement of Mitt Romney gave a very misleading account of Rick Santorum’s immigration record, asserting that he voted against E-Verify.

Ann’s a lawyer, so she knows that omitting material facts can be just as much a fraud as stating false facts.  And Ann...

John Hinderaker of Power Line Blog wrote an endorsement of Mitt Romney on Tuesday.  It was about as good an endorsement as I have seen, but kept coming back to one theme, electability.

I don’t think we can judge electability just yet because no one really has challenged Romney in the primaries.  Several million...
