WASHINGTON (AP) — With Syrian diplomacy all but dead, the Obama administration is shifting its focus on the civil war away from political transition and toward helping the rebels defeat the Syrian regime on the battlefield.
Professor, headsup: votevets.org (a Democrat party front) and loisfrankel.com appear somehow to have got hold of Allen West’s donor or subscriber email lists and are spamming them for contributions to Democratic candidates, with military slant.
I just read the article via Fox regarding the evaluation of how good the Chick-Fil-A sandwich is. I can tell you how good it is.
Before I became unemployed, I worked 4 years at the mortgage service branch of a shall-remain-nameless huge bank. I guess at that time, we had upwards of 500 employees. Every Thursday was Chick-Fil-A day in the full service cafeteria. They bought a couple hundred sandwiches and reheated them for sale. Of course, they lost their crispy-ness and we only had regular condiments to put on them. I don’t remember any pickles, either.
Every week, those soggy sandwiches sold out.
“Tip #1: Fake data nobody ever expects to see. If you’re going to make things up, you won’t have any original data to produce when someone asks to see it. The simplest way to avoid this awkward situation is to make sure that nobody ever asks.
You can do this in several ways, but the easiest is to work only with humans. Most institutions require a long and painful approval process before anyone gets to work directly with human subjects. To protect patient privacy, any records are usually completely anonymized, so no one can ever trace them back to individual patients. Adding to the potential for confusion, many medical studies are done double-blind and use patient populations spread across multiple research centers.
All of these factors make it quite difficult for anyone to keep track of the original data, and they mean that most people will be satisfied with using a heavily processed version of your results. That makes faking the data much easier. The classic example here is Jon Sudbø, who apparently made up even the patients used in a number of studies. He was only caught because someone working for the Norwegian public health institute couldn’t figure out where he had possibly obtained some of his results; the fake data itself never aroused suspicions prior to that point.
If you still want to provide real—well, “real”—underlying data, one option is to use one-of-a-kind equipment, since nobody else will be likely to make sense out of the raw data, anyway. But really, the hassle and expected anonymity involved in working with human subjects is the most convenient data screen of all.”

Now Reid is pushing for a Chinese company he played a key role in recruiting to Nevada, ENN Mojave Energy LLC. The company plans a billion-dollar solar energy manufacturing and generating plant near Laughlin, but an ambitious development schedule is being threatened by a lack of green power customers.
County to sign off on land sale for solar power complex in Laughlin http://www.lasvegassun.com/news/2011/dec/20/county-sign-land-sale-solar-power-complex-laughlin/
The county’s asking price for the land — $4.5 million — is far below two appraisals that put its value at between $29.6 million and $38.6 million. But Commissioner Steve Sisolak, whose district includes Laughlin, said the price is justifiable given the economic impact the project will have on Southern Nevada.
“Public bodies do this all the time in the name of jobs,” he said. “Some even give away land to encourage development. We think this will be huge for Nevada.”
Giving away land to the Chinese and government mandates requiring use of the Chinese produced energy.
