It would be great to see Twila Barnes and her fellow Cherokee bring some traditional food to their meeting with Elizabeth Warren. It’s always nice when people bring food to a meeting, don’t you think? Makes things more friendly…more like family, really.
Maybe they could exchange some recipes. I’m sure Warren has been looking for a way to recreate a hearty Cherokee meal with sumac-seasoned trout, chestnut bread, and bear just like Mom used to make.
To all men who have embraced fatherhood in all its glory and honor – I applaud you. For you are dwindling in numbers and, to the collective mind, are dwindling in importance. The correct view is that men should scorn the masculine and embrace the feminine. Feminists have for decades preached this and over the last 20-30 yrs that idea has become a mainstream truth to the detriment of the family. The masculine ideal is the caring protector and provider – or at least it used to be. New Speak defines the masculine ideal as a dictatorial misogynist oppressor. To the post-modern feminist all masculine advances are assaulting. To them intimate love is rape and chivalry is condescension.
While, thankfully, most women do not practice those radical views, most women have been taught them and we see that paradigm of belief in modern cultural media. So as to not be out of the mainstream, men have adopted the process of trying to “connect with their feminine side”. This weakens the family. The family needs the unapologetic differences of masculinity and femininity to thrive. Those differences should be embraced and cherished. Femininity is important. Through it we receive caring nurturing and comforting love. Everyone needs that to start a strong life and throughout our lives we need to occasionally reconnect to it to maintain strength but with that alone we would not have fulfilling lives. With only that we have a stifling, coddled existence.
Masculinity gives us our strength of individual character. It is because of that individualism that liberals have tried to bury masculine ideals. Without masculinity we have given the power of individualism to the collective and have created the nanny state. There is much more that could be said on this issue but this is a facebook post – not a book. Suffice it to say that in a family, the woman should be more feminine than masculine and the man should be more masculine than feminine. Yes I did mean to imply that a family should have a female mother and a male dad because I am not a post-modernist.
ANNALS OF THE 1%: Taxpayers Pay $1.2 Million for Lunch with Warren Buffett. “An anonymous donor on June 8 paid $3.46 million to Glide, an antipoverty group in San Francisco, for the privilege of having lunch with Warren Buffett. Is the donation tax-deductible? Experts say most of it probably is, meaning taxpayers in effect will pick up about $1.2 million of the tab.”
And what? eliminate tax deductions for charitable giving by the wealthy.
You have some proof this non-profit group is corrupt or is it feeding the poor you have a problem with?
“Experts expect Glide’s letter to exclude the fair-market value of the lunch from the donation total.”
Which taxprof admits is ZERO, besides the cost of several meals at a fancy restaurant.
I don’t know if I would lump political donations with charitable giving. Schools, Churches, Community centers… yeah makes sense. Political campaigns… those donations tend to be more of an investment then an act of goodwill anyway.
I was looking up information on the English Chef Jamie Oliver. I hit Wikipedia ( http://tinyurl.com/c7nqm7 ) and found this interesting passage dealing with his ancestry….
“In 2009 Oliver claimed to be of partial Sudanese ancestry via his great-great grandfather John, whom he described as “a bit swarthy with curly hair”.[11] However, research for the Sunday Express established that John’s father James was a hatter from Penzance, and that James’ father Richard was also Cornish, leaving little or no possibility of a Sudanese connection. The family legend of Sudanese ancestry may have originated in the 19th century when John Oliver returned from sea, possibly with a tanned complexion after visiting Africa.”
Well, he had possibly visited Sudan while in Africa, so that should count, at least based on the Fauxcohantas standard (she had possibly visited the Cherokee nation while growing up in the largest city in Oklahoma).
I was inspired by your worst of the worst Obama videos to make my new video: “Obama is standing above the country~He’s sort of God” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEz-XXc379U
I combined the soundbytes with my Obama arrogant chin up photo collection, some music from Vivaldi and viola.
The Obama overreach yesterday on selective enforcement of existing and constitutional law deserves a strong response from Romney. I would use this in advertising to point out Obama’s lack of respect for law:
This isn’t just “selective enforcement”. It is the imposition of entirely new policy by diktat.
A modest predition…
NEXT week will be marked by a fire-storm of push-back. This is not an incremental notch in presidential over-reach, but a greedy glom by Obama, and even SOME Collectivists will react.
There will be legal action. Note, too, this is not another mere deflection; it is central to our representative republic, just like the affront to freedom of conscience. This will harden a LOT of voters.
Perhaps I was being kind with calling it selective enforcement. The point for me is were going down the gay marriage road again.
Unable to run on his record…Obama finds an issue to reframe the campaign and distract everyone. An issue obviously perceived as a “winner” for democrats.
Anything done by Republicans will be sidelined as Obama adopts the issue.
And I believe our tactical geniuses in the House and Senate will be unable to find the method or will to set things strait.
The bottom line is that Romney ran all the way to the right on this issue in order to win the nomination. Now that Obama has issued an illegal amnesty, he has nothing consequential to say about it other than agreeing with it.
2. The flip-flop reminds American voters that, while they may be fed up with Obama, the alternative is…Mitt Romney.
I don’t believe you will get that strong response from Romney because he agrees with Obama.
Remember back when we were having primaries and debates. You will find that he was speaking about self deportation. Now we have Mr. etch-a-sketch doing what he does best and that’s being a moderate progressive.

hello, fellow LIer’s, great day today, Friday, june 15, 2012
my local talk show host here in Philadelphia, Pa is a a roll, today!!
Radio talk show host, Dom Giordano: station WPHT1210 am
he is on until 12:00 noon
I’m gonna get the link for you for you to listen to the live stream feed of the balance of his show until noon:
Local 4 will be live streaming Michigan Gov. Snyder announcing new bridge from Detroit to Canada, first in Windsor at 12:45pm and then in Detroit at Cobo Center at 2:45pm
Watch as Michigan RINO governor signs International pact with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and US Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood to create a (profit based) Private Benefit Corporation to take Chinese funds (via Canuckistan) to be paid back by selling out an owned American Business.
One likely provision will be that this Private Benefit Corporation cannot go bankrupt, therefore putting their losses on the taxpayer… and with Community Benefit provisions for the Delray neighborhood, along with unfunded long term maintenance and upkeep costs that will destroy its profit margin… assuring the only recourse to prevent bankruptcy will be to put the privately-owned Ambassador Bridge out-of-business.
“It turns out that Elizabeth Warren, the Massachusetts Senate candidate who has a special knack for agitating Republicans, used to be one of them.
“I was a Republican, because I thought that those were the people who best supported markets. I think that is not true anymore,” said Elizabeth Warren in an interview with The Daily Beast.”
Yet another fact that’s been swept under the rug. Was Elizabeth Warren’s change of party affiliation at 46 something genuine, or was it just another opportunistic act. What did becoming a Democrat do for her? How did she benefit?
You’ve got a good point. By now, I don’t believe anything that comes out of Elizabeth Warren’s mouth.
This information came out in the liberal media last October, was covered for one news cycle, and then was buried. That indicates that the campaign might have been trying to defuse it as an issue a year before the election, which indicates that it may be true. But as you pointed out, really nothing that this person says about herself or her past can be believed.
I probably shouldn’t be so cynical, but both her form for lies and the overload of concern trolls during the 2008 election niggles me.
“Hi, Alan! I’m a concerned conservative Christian who’s ALWAYS voted Republican, but this year I’m SO upset about that retarded cowboy George Bush and his Illegal Wars for Oil and his War On Women and his racist racism and SO impressed with that Mr Obama and his Mensa-grade intelligence and his soaring oratory and his obvious care and concern for ALL Americans and the way he’ll Heal the Nation…” [bla bla bla] “…that this year I’ve made the decision to dump the Republicans and vote for the One True Party of Shining Light and Truth and Justice For All.”
That indicates that the campaign might have been trying to defuse it as an issue a year before the election, which indicates that it may be true.
Either that, or they’ve just now twigged to the fact that she’s a Lying Liar who Lies and don’t want to be party to any more exploding cigars.
I know! Sorry for my cynicism – it may well be misplaced and she may well have been telling the truth, that for most of her life she was a registered Republican. But I’ve started to just assume Dems like her are lying until proven otherwise :-/
Maybe Warren sought the safe harbor of the Republican Party to avoid the burden of lies that Liberal Progressiveness requires… 100% indication of weak character.
“I was a Republican because I thought that those were the people who best supported markets. I think that is not true anymore,” Warren says. “I was a Republican at a time when I felt like there was a problem that the markets were under a lot more strain. It worried me whether or not the government played too activist a role.”
Did she vote for Ronald Reagan, who ushered in much of the financial deregulation which Warren has devoted her life to stopping? “I’m not going to talk about who I voted for,” she says.
It wasn’t until later in life, when Warren was 46, that she had her political awakening. At the time, she was serving on a committee recommending changes to the nation’s bankruptcy laws. Until then, Warren says, “I said, ‘No, no, no, not for me on the politics.’ ”
Warren decided then, in 1995, she could no longer retreat into the ivory tower. “I can’t just leave this to people who are going to wreck the lives of millions of American families if they get the chance,” she says. “I waded in.”
It should be fairly easy for someone who knows how to search voter registration rolls to find out if she was, indeed, a registered Republican from 1968-1995. Who knows, she could be telling the truth this time.
House Republicans prohibited state Rep. Lisa Brown (D) West Bloomfield from speaking on the floor Thursday after she ended a speech Wednesday against a bill restricting abortions by referencing her female anatomy.
The comment by Rep. Lisa Brown (D) West Bloomfield was:
“Finally, Mr. Speaker, I’m flattered that you’re all so interested in my vagina, but ‘no’ means ‘no,’”
Rep. Lisa Brown (D) West Bloomfield also indicated the abortion regulation bills would violate her Jewish religious beliefs.
Can anyone cite the historical and biblical context concerning infanticide and Judaism?

Is this trial groundwork for putting Hillary on the ticket? If so, whose groundwork is it?
(I continue to believe that Vice President Hillary would appoint herself Senior Co-President and work toward her 2016 agenda. Yanked among Hillary, Michelle, and Valerie Jarrett (with Bill Clinton in the background), Obama might regret it if he won the election.)

Some simple, yet eye opening math:
154878048 in the current workforce
8.2% unemployment
= ~12.7 million workers unemployed.
See here:http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.nr0.htm
Now add 800,000 to both the current workforce and the number of unemployed:
155678048 / 13500000 = 11.5%.
Sure they’re in College now… but can we assume they’re going to graduate?
This is our future under another 4 years of Obama. Oh, the number may change… but the economic impact will be the same…
12700000./154878048. = 0.082
13500000./155678048. = 0.087

Warren’s no lefty. In fact, Warren was a registered Republican into her 40s. When it comes to ideology, Warren makes for a rotten heir to Kennedy.

Is this trial groundwork for putting Hillary on the ticket? If so, whose groundwork is it?
