RI-01 ’12
This is my home district. David Cicilline (D) must be defeated. He narrowly beat John Loughlin in 2010, but since then the Providence fiscal disaster came to light. He is vulnerable, but a candidate who is great at scaring seniors.
There are two Republicans in the primary, John Loughlin and Brendan Doherty. I haven’t committed yet, but I’m leaning towards Loughlin because he is campaign tested and well known in the district because of his prior campaign.
Doherty is the former head of the RI State Police, and has picked up most of the establishment Republican support. But he never has been tested in a campaign.

Cicilline up only 4, 40-36, over Gemma in the D primary.
