If you haven't hoarded enough Reddi-wip to get you through Christmas, you might be out of luck. America is in the midst of a nationwide whipped cream shortage. The culprit isn't the cream or anything dairy related, but a shortage of nitrous oxide.

Friday, President Obama stood behind the podium for his last scheduled press conference of 2016. Obama discussed Trump, Russia, and media treatment of Hillary in the most recent election. We've compiled a few highlights:

Professor Jacobson has covered the Democrat's futile attempt to mount an electoral college insurrection in the hopes of turning over the results of the recent presidential election. Monday morning, establishment media outlets along with a bevy of Democrats decided Russia was to blame for Hillary's embarrassing electoral loss. The sudden, unified chorus was an amusing sight to behold. I blogged:
The Russian hacking/tainted election story line is a particularly fascinating coping mechanism in leftist elite circles.

Thursday, a Trump Advisor confirmed CNBC business analyst Larry Kudlow has been chosen to lead the White House Council of Economic Advisers. Kudlow served as an advisor to Trump's campaign. Reports suggest the announcement will be official sometime in the next two days. The Detroit News reports:
Conservative economist Stephen Moore, who advised Trump’s presidential campaign on economic policy, disclosed Kudlow’s appointment to the influential post during a lunchtime speech to the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce’s economic club.

Because of course. Tuesday, Kanye West met with president-elect Donald Trump at Trump Tower. Trump said there were "just friends" and that they've "known each other a long time." When asked what their meeting entailed, Trump said "life".

Mega gazillionaire, tech innovator, and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates sat down for lengthy interview with CNBC Tuesday. The majority of the interview focused on Gates' latest clean energy initiatives -- all privately funded through his private investment fund, stocked with fellow gazillionaire innovators. "I think this administration likes a good deal," said Gates, who explained he and others would feel comfortable approaching the new administration on a variety of issues like energy policy and general regulatory issues.

Wisconsin's presidential recount is over, done, and the results official. Trump remains the winner, gaining 131 votes over Hillary. Failed Green Party presidential candidate, Jill Stein, forked over $3.5 million for a hand recount, claiming she wanted to ensure the integrity of America's election process. It's probably just coincidence she chose to test the veracity of our electoral process in the three states Hillary was projected to win, but failed. In any case, Trump still wins:
In Wisconsin, officials said Trump defeated Democrat Hillary Clinton by 22,748 votes out of about 3 million cast — an uptick of 131 over his initial advantage over Clinton.

The Russian hacking/tainted election story line is a particularly fascinating coping mechanism in leftist elite circles. All signs point to a painfully out of touch party platform, the world's worst presidential candidate, and a fundamental misunderstanding of the political landscape, yet Democrats are blaming the Russians for their embarrassing electoral loss. Worse still, there's no new evidence to suggest Russians swayed election results. Sure, the Wikileaks stuff was nasty, but that's old news. Should it be investigated? Probably. Though the same people demanding an investigation into this alleged hacking's electoral impact NOW also declared with certainty that Hillary's home-brewed server was never infiltrated by foreign foes. It's almost like this story line was cooked up as a last ditch effort to overturn the election results. Almost.

U.S. District Judge Paul Diamond was not impressed by Jill Stein's request for a statewide, presidential ballot recount. Monday morning, Judge Diamond denied failed Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein's recount request. From the wires:
A federal judge on Monday issued a stinging rejection of a Green Party-backed request to recount paper ballots in Pennsylvania's presidential election, won by Republican Donald Trump, and scan some counties' election systems for signs of hacking.

The Wisconsin presidential election ballot recount is winding down. With a completion deadline of December 12, most counties are finished recounting their ballots. According to the Wisconsin Election Commission's spreadsheet, with the exception of Milwaukee, which counts its absentee ballots differently, most other counties have completed their recounts:

Friday afternoon, former New York City Mayor and Trump supporter, Rudy Giuliana announced he no longer wished to be considered for Secretary of State. "This is not about me; it is about what is best for the country and the new administration. Before I joined the campaign I was very involved and fulfilled by my work with my law firm and consulting firm, and I will continue that work with even more enthusiasm. From the vantage point of the private sector, I look forward to helping the President-elect in any way he deems necessary and appropriate," Giuliana said in a statement. Giuliana will remain Vice-Chairman of Trump's transition team.

Failed Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein's recount scampaign isn't going quite as planned. The recount never made it off the ground in Pennsylvania and both federal and state courts agreed there was no need for a recount in Michigan as Stein did not qualify as an "aggrieved candidate". It's day nine of the state-wide presidential ballot recount in Wisconsin and a federal judge refused to halt the recount, which is mostly complete, saying the recount results won't affect the outcome.

After an event on Capitol Hill Thursday night, Hillary was greeted by a group of young supporters who sobbed profusely when meeting the failed presidential candidate.

It's been too long since we talked about how TSA is easily one of the worst government agencies in existence, but this story is a great reminder. A forty-two-year-old mom with breast cancer said she felt 'violated' after TSA agents attempted a body cavity search in public at the Los Angeles airport. Her crime? She informed agents she was traveling with a medical cream in her bag, like she had done numerous times before without issue. In order to continue traveling with the cream, she had to suffer a pat down 'with pressure', said the agents. Denise Albert notified TSA of her chemo port in advance. They made her remove her shoes (treatment caused sores on her feet) even though she's a PreCheck flyer, she removed her wig so they wouldn't ruin it, and blue-gloved agents insisted on feeling up her port to "clear the area".
