Kemberlee Kaye is the Senior Contributing Editor of Legal Insurrection, where she has worked since 2014 and is the Director of Operations and Editorial Development for the Legal Insurrection Foundation. She also serves as the Managing Editor for CriticalRace.org, a research project of the Legal Insurrection Foundation.

She has a background working in immigration law, and as a grassroots organizer, digital media strategist, campaign lackey, and muckraker. Over the years Kemberlee has worked with FreedomWorks, Americans for Prosperity, James O'Keefe's Project Veritas, and US Senate re-election campaigns, among others.

90s rock legend Courtney Love Cobain took Linda Sarsour, co-chair of the Women's March to the woodshed Wednesday. We've documented Sarsour's history of anti-Zionism, her love of Sharia law, and her attack on Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a victim of female genital mutilation. Love's disgust for Sarsour seems to stem from Sarsour's involvement with a Somali woman named Rahma Warsame. Sarsour, along with CAIR, allege Warsame was violently assaulted by a white man Saturday. They allege the man said, "you all will be shipped back to Africa" before beating Warsame, further claiming the man they believe responsible has a long history of making racially charged statements. Sarsour and CAIR have encouraged the investigation of the incident as a hate crime and are working to raise $100,000 for Warsame.

Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Dan Coats and NSA Director Admiral Mike Rogers testified before the Senate Intelligence Committee Wednesday. During the hearing, Sen. Warner (D-VA) asked, "would be in any way typical for a President to ask questions or bring up an ongoing FBI investigation, particularly if that investigation concerns associates or indivduals that might be associated with the PResident's campaign or his activities?" A clearly unimpressed Rogers set the record straight and indicated he would not entertain hypotheticals.

While the 2018 Texas Senate race is slowly simmering on the backburner, fundraising and campaign efforts on the ground are in full swing. Beto O'Rourke, the young Democrat Congressman from El Paso has emerged as the only challenger to incumbent Sen. Cruz thus far. Thanks to social media, O'Rourke landed on the radar of one of Hollywood's most vocal left-wingers -- Rosie O'Donnell. O'Donnell proudly tweeted her support for O'Rourke and boasted giving the max contribution to his campaign.

Video surfaced Sunday showing what appears to be a CNN film crew staging or at the very least, assisting with the optics of an anti-ISIS Muslim protest in London. Film crews from CNN, BBC, and the AP set up in the middle of the street well before any protest began and before protesters were in place.

Early voting began Tuesday in one of the country's hottest races -- the race to replace former Rep. Tom Price (who left to head HHS) in Georgia's sixth Congressional district. The young and inexperienced Democrat Jon Ossoff faces a tough challenger in Republican Karen Handel. Democrats and political media alike have pitched the race as a referendum on President Trump and his agenda. Because the race has garnered so much national attention, super PACs from both sides of the aisle are dropping bank on ads, hoping to sway voters to their cause. The Congressional Leadership Fund, a Republican PAC, created an ad, linking Kathy Griffin to Ossoff.

"I'm not afraid of Donald Trump. He's a bully. I've dealt with old, white guys trying to keep me down my whole life, my whole career," began Griffith, during her pity party Friday afternoon. Griffith was fired from CNN after she posed with a bloody, decapitated likeness of President Trump's head.

If there's a better way to learn the all important lesson about the evils of local government, I can't think of it. Teenagers in the small town of Gardendale, Alabama trying to earn a little extra cash through good old fashioned sweat equity have been hit with a nasty surprise. City officials along with other lawn care services have threatened these kiddos for working without a business license.

Thursday afternoon, the White House formally announced the United States' withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement orchestrated by President Obama. Climate alarmists internet-wide defaulted to doomsday predictions and declared America "lost". I can't help but chuckle when reading the micro freakouts. My favorite parts are the sincere beliefs that 1) people control the weather and 2) a treaty will stop global climates from climating.

As emblems of the Confederacy all across the country are being dismantled, a Texas Antifa group has picked an odd target for their angst -- a well-loved statue of the Republic of Texas' first President, Sam Houston. Sam Houston was a badass if ever there was one. Not only was he an honorary Cherokee, but it took him a measly 18 minutes to defeat Mexican General Santa Anna, effectively ending the Texas Revolution and creating the greatest Republic that ever was.

Movie Tavern Alamo Drafthouse stepped into a huge pile of Internet late last week when it's NYC venue decided to hold a woman's only viewing of upcoming DC Comic flick, Wonder Woman. The proceeds of the screening were to benefit Planned Parenthood. It should be noted that Alamo Drafthouse hails from Austin, Texas, which is basically Portland, Texas, but without the rain and way too much cedar to be enjoyable.

Today was the last day of the Texas legislative regular session. But before the typical closing ceremonies were held, a near brawl broke out between lawmakers. Stoked by anti-SB 4 protestors, Democrat and Republican lawmakers exchanged harsh words and a few shoves. Senate Bill 4 is the state's Sanctuary City bill, which would require local and campus law enforcement to comply with federal immigration communication laws, or be subject to civil and criminal penalties. Governor Abbott signed the bill into law earlier this month. At the center of the SB-4 conflict was Republican state Rep. Matt Rinaldi, who said he called Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on protestors carrying "I am illegal and here to stay" placards. After being manhandled and harassed (Rinaldi claims), he responded to an alleged threat on his person by saying he would respond to any attempts on his life by shooting the offending Representative in self-defense.

The division in our country runs beyond politics and into mundane life chores like returning a shopping buggy to the store-provided receptacle. There are plenty reasons to leave a shopping cart in place once it's been emptied -- the weather's bad, small children, in a hurry, etc. but ardent cart returners find all such reasons to be less rational and more akin to excuses. So why doesn't everyone return their carts to the receptacle? And why is it largely socially acceptable to leave a cart in the middle of the parking lot?
