Minnesota Fourth-Grader ‘Very Nervous and Uncomfortable’ When Told Not to Tell Parents About Equity Survey

“I got very confused and kind of nervous after a boy asked his mom after the teacher explained that we cannot tell our parents anything.”

Minnesota fourth-grader Hayley Yasger and her mother Kelsey told Fox & Friends about the equity survey forced on students.

The Sartell-St. Stephen School District hired the Equity Alliance Minnesota group “earlier this year for an $80,000 audit on ‘racial inequities.'”

Hayley explained: “So when I was in the survey I was taking a few questions and on the gender identification question I got very confused and kind of nervous after a boy asked his mom after the teacher explained that we cannot tell our parents anything. This made me very nervous and uncomfortable.”

Kelsey said the schools told them “that the equity audit was taking place,” but “were not informed on the date of the activity and not given other details due to the lack of transparency from the school distracted and from Equity Alliance of Minnesota.”

Kelsey continued:

We were not informed of the questions on this survey. And when my daughter came forth and told me that they cannot skip any questions when you don’t understand them when students were asking questions and asking if they could ask their parents about it. I was upset and told not to repeat any of the questions to me or any other adult in her life.

I do want to say though I believe that this wasn’t a single case that her teacher made this decision. We had been informed that this came down from the administration and Equity Alliance of Minnesota instructed them to make sure the children did not share this information with their parents and that should pose a concern in any parents’ eyes.

Hayley’s experience went viral after a video showed her confronting the school board last week:

During distance learning, I was asked to complete the equity survey. My teacher said that I could not skip any questions when I didn’t understand. One question asked us what gender we identified with. I was very confused along with a lot of other classmates. A boy in my class asked my teacher if his mom could explain the question to him because even after the teacher explained he still didn’t understand. My teacher told him that he was not allowed to ask his mom and that we cannot repeat any of the questions. I want the school board to know how uncomfortable and nervous this made me. My mom always tells me I can tell her anything, but she also tells me I can trust my teachers, too. Being asked to hide this from my mom made me feel very uncomfortable. I felt I was doing something wrong.

Parents have concerns the schools are pushing Critical Race Theory (CRT). Those who defended the survey said it helps battle bullying. None of them mentioned CRT.

A man named Chris Yasgar, which I guess is Hayley’s father, also spoke at the meeting:

“Bullying is going unchecked because discipline isn’t there, since the audit is taking away money and time from mental health issues,” Chris Yasgar, who’s leading a group of parents opposing the audit, claimed in response. “CRT advocates pretend the debate is about teaching racism and slavery. It’s designed to do the opposite. I think it’s a sign of their position’s weakness that they keep returning to this line.”

Yasgar spoke at Monday’s meeting and said several teachers in the district support his cause but fear retaliation from school administrators.

“My first question for you tonight surrounds the topic of data requests. We have data requests that are now weeks old, weeks, that have gone unanswered,” Yasgar said, referring to his request for a copy of the survey students were required to complete.

Cameras in every classroom.

And an easily accessible and publicly transparent library of every resource used in the curriculum. Along with the rationale for it’s selection and if replacing traditional or established curricula the reason the prior material was removed and the evidence that supports that removal.

    And communists OUT!

That is exactly what needs to be done. If we need a body camera on every cop because of the 1 in 500,000 stops that someone gets shot, we need a camera in every classroom. Every teacher is a college graduate. Look at the BS that college students are being indoctrinated with now. This didn’t just start, it’s just now being made public. If any teacher tells my grandchild not to discuss questions with any adult except a teacher, there is going to be hell to pay. This is where the government is heading under the Socialists. Klobuchar, Omar, Franken. All Socialists except Omar, who is a mouthpiece for the Muslims taking over MN. Cameras, with permanent recordings, requiring a group of parents to be present before any video is played back, will stop this bullshit.

You know Al Franken’s been gone for three years, right? He’s back where he belongs now.

“Alan Stuart Franken is an American comedian, politician, media personality, and actor who served as a United States senator from Minnesota from 2009 to 2018.”

A clown, first and foremost, inexplicably elected senator.

Or perhaps put your children in a school whose teachers you can trust.

Recorded with real time keyword identification, which can be used to flag questionable conduct. The same for all administrator communications. It is time to introduce these sleaze bags to big brother.

This is from the Science of Learning and Development session on July 13 https://www.soldalliance.org/post/strategy-session-leveraging-the-science-of-learning-development-to-advance-equity-excellence on Why a Racial Equity Lens is Necessary.

Notice it lists all the various names, including Asset-Based Pedagogy and Equity these practices go by. Also notice it admits that Equity-based practices combine the Affective and Cognitive even if, as here, that makes some students uncomfortable.

Slide 18 insists that Asset-Based Pedagogy that is what Equity calls for and Culturally Responsive Teaching are not CRT (their bolding) but “share CRT’s aim to understand the source of longstanding racial inequities in education.”

No mention of the refusal to teach reading properly or Constructivism in math class affects those with the least outside resources the hardest. No let’s use the lack of explicit instruction as the basis for a social revolution instead.

The Left tell children to lie to their parents and hide what’s really being taught in the classroom from the parents. Do they really wonder why the parents are skeptical and question what they’re teaching our kids?

They are trying to destroy the family. Marxists do that.
I commend Hayley and her family for speaking out.
They are raising a questioning and wise child.

FOIA everything if you must, but it is imperative to know what they are pushing in the schools (even if you don’t have a student there or have pulled them to homeschool).
It is a battle for the soul of our nation.

Putting the idea of distrusting their parents into young children’s minds is the a sure route to psychiatric disturbances.

Tell me how these teachers are doing anything different mentally to these children than pedophiles.

ConradCA in reply to Idonttweet. | July 26, 2021 at 8:45 pm

The parents of every class in school should organize and monitor what is happening in their children’s class and school. If one parent finds evidence of this evil they should quickly let every parent know and organize against it.

geronl in reply to Idonttweet. | July 26, 2021 at 11:06 pm

It happens in “sex-ed” too. They now have a very pro-sex curriculum that encourages children.

If the “teacher” (read indoctrinator) wants to hide the substance, trust them as they know it is evil. Evil fears sunlight. It always has.

“Teachers” cannot be trusted any more than “Journalists.” or any other con artists.

Critical Racists’ Theory presumes diversity [dogma] (i.e. color judgment), not limited to racism, sexism, ageism, inequity, and exclusion under the Pro-Choice, selective, opportunistic (politically congruent or “=”), relativistic (“ethical”) religion.

Baby Lives Matter (BLM)

Isolate the individual from their family, friends, from anyone they talk to and trust for guidance. Plant the seeds of mistrust in the same by implying the need for secrecy from them.

That’s straight-up cult recruitment methods 101. Ironic how they call this so-called test an “Audit”.

Observer in reply to SField. | July 26, 2021 at 4:39 pm

Scientology also uses “audits” as a means of keeping its cult members in line.

Mark Cohen in reply to SField. | July 26, 2021 at 6:09 pm

And the end result will be mental illness in your children.

The solution of deprogramming/de-marxification is very expensive.

Who’s going to pay for that?

JusticeDelivered in reply to SField. | July 26, 2021 at 7:36 pm

Similar to Nazi youth recruitment, with the same goals.

Moon Battery | July 26, 2021 at 2:00 pm

Only evil people try to hide their actions. Saying to children, “don’t tell your parents”, is what abusers and pedophiles say.

Any stranger — and yes, teachers are strangers — that tell children to be silent about what goes on in school, their classroom, the playground, or anywhere else, should be immediately fired.

Mark Cohen in reply to Moon Battery. | July 26, 2021 at 6:10 pm

you are correct about the comparison to pedophiles.

What these teachers and their unions are doing to children is sodomy of their minds. Its effects are no different than sodomy of their bodies.

The entire staff of that “school” system needs to be unemployed. Today.

This sounds like a career ending macroaggression

.

My mom always tells me I can tell her anything, but she also tells me I can trust my teachers, too.

Well, there’s a mistake.

Reminds me of an old saying. If you have a friendship that you need to keep secret, there is probably something improper about that relationship.

Here, if you have classroom lessons that you want kids to keep secret from their parents, there is probably something wrong with that lesson. Sort prima facia evidence of something improper.

When you are teaching things to the children that you are afraid their parents will disapprove of, you are teaching those kids the wrong things. There should be some allowance for parents to physically abuse those teachers the same way they’re mentally abusing the kids.

You don’t want to make a girl child uncomfortable.

Taking up the feelings-talk of the left is unbecoming on the right, except that much of the right is women. It will not lead to anything good.

This is insane. If you think about it, this kind of behavior is what pedophiles do to groom their child targets. Here instead of grooming them for sexual purposes, they are grooming them for ideological purposes. It’s grooming of children on a massive scale for ideological purposes.

Mark Cohen in reply to c0cac0la. | July 26, 2021 at 6:12 pm

I have written that what these teachers & their unions are doing is sodomizing these children’s minds.

The end result is no different than pedophiles sodomizing their bodies – psychiatric disturbance.

If ever there were a justifiable need for “reparations”, it’s reparations paid by the teachers and their unions for the mental health care of the children they’ve damaged.

Attend your local school board meetings. Better yet, start a concerned parents group and attend as a group.
Make them uncomfortable and let them know we pay their salaries and fund the palacial structures they love to build….not for the children but for their own egoes.

Subotai Bahadur | July 26, 2021 at 4:47 pm

Under the current national regime, and in the People’s Oblast of Minnesota, having children inform the state about any politically incorrect thoughts being expressed in the home is now the norm.

Subotai Bahadur

If the parents in that school district devote all their time and energy into fighting this, they might succeed after their children have graduated college.

Get the kids out now.

Mark Cohen in reply to gibbie. | July 26, 2021 at 6:00 pm

This is an example of how these teachers and unions are making our children sick.

These unions need to start paying for psychiatric evaluations for all the children they’ve mentally molested with this Marxist drivel…

And then pay for a national de-marxification program as truly justified reparations for the societal harm they’ve done.

Does anybody have a link to the actual survey used? If so, please let me know.

    CountMontyC in reply to bernie49. | July 26, 2021 at 8:13 pm

To this point the school board is refusing to release the survey which was ya two things to me
    1) The survey is even worse than what we already know.
    2) They know that they were wrong to do the survey

Isn’t telling kids not to tell their parents something a classic child molester move? I think the similarity in tactics by the Woke cult speaks to their bad intentions.

NOTHING at school should be a secret from parents. Nothing.

Antifundamentalist | July 26, 2021 at 7:36 pm

One of our household safety lessons with the kids was that if an adult ever asks you to do something, however harmless it may seem, and then says “don’t tell your parents,” something is wrong and you should let us know immediately. So yeah, school says “don’t tell your parents” the first thing the kid needs to do is tell their parents.

Back in the day, “Stranger Danger” was necessary advice to give to kids to protect themselves from random perverts – now kids have to be advised that the warning extends to their school boards, school administrators, their teachers, and the perverts invited to interact with them as they’re involuntary detainees in government schools.

Parents need to decide who is responsible for their children – would any parent reasonably trust a politician or a unionized bureaucrat?

All parents should know one thing: Your local public school is NOT different.

Why the need for secrecy? This reminds me of a few other things–1) why the tapes from the Capitol on January 6th haven’t been released, 2) why the Durham report hasn’t been issued, 3) why the “intelligence” community is blocking the declassified information, 4) why Congress can’t put forth bills written in simple language in 5 pages or less, 5) why there is so much angst over complete forensic audits of all ballots in all states, and 6) why the CDC doesn’t release the data on deaths by all causes for 2020. The answer is relatively simple–they cannot afford for the people to know the truth, It would be devastating to their cause. As more time passes and people actually do the digging, the facts are coming out and that cannot be allowed. Releasing the tapes would show that the Capitol Police were more involved in allowing and encouraging people to come in and might reveal some of the FBI agents and informants who played a role in it. Durham has had almost 9 months to put the information out there but all we have heard is crickets. The agencies of the alleged Intel Community cannot have the truth come out without revealing their part in the shadow, puppet government. Congress cannot have bills that the average citizen can read and understand and SEE where all the pork and illegal spending of tax monies lie. Forensic audits (or any ACTUAL audit) reveal too many dirty tricks (like any thinking person who was watching the returns after the 11/3 election could see with the “shutting down” of the counts for the night was announced only to reveal that the “counts” were completed and the results totally turned on their head). As for the CDC, if they could release a daily total of CoVid deaths, why couldn’t they release a daily total of Coronary disease deaths or cancer deaths or deaths in accidents? The simple answer to all of these questions is that the Democrat narrative did not warrant the truth and they could not allow the truth to set the American people free!
