Pelosi Condemns Antifa Violence at Berkeley

Pelosi Condemns Antifa Violence at Berkeley

Thank you, Rep. Pelosi!

Over the weekend, Antifa thugs went to a park in Berkeley after a No To Marxism rally was canceled. Some people did show up and received beatings from the Antifa jerks as the police backed down.

Berkeley Mayor Jesse Arreguin criticized the violence, but was okay with the police standing down. He has even asked UC-Berkeley to cancel the conservative Free Speech Week.

However, those of us who value free speech have found a friend in none other than House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA):

San Francisco — Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement denouncing the violent protests carried out this weekend in Berkeley, California:

“Our democracy has no room for inciting violence or endangering the public, no matter the ideology of those who commit such acts. The violent actions of people calling themselves antifa in Berkeley this weekend deserve unequivocal condemnation, and the perpetrators should be arrested and prosecuted.

“In California, as across all of our great nation, we have deep reverence for the Constitutional right to peaceful dissent and free speech. Non-violence is fundamental to that right. Let us use this sad event to reaffirm that we must never fight hate with hate, and to remember the values of peace, openness and justice that represent the best of America.”

Credit where it’s due. Thank you, Rep. Pelosi.

Good. Now can we get Grandma Sessions to condemn it and DO something about it? Antifa should be investigated by the Feds to the fullest. If the rocks are turned over it will be very interesting to see who crawls out. Is Antifa Obama’s desired “Civilian Army”? What about dear George S? Wake up Grandma, or if you can’t handle it, resign and let a real prosecutor get this prize.

Friend of free speech? I think not.

At Berkeley the Brownshirts went too far—in the search for victims, they attacked the Press. Major error. The MSM will no longer cover for them. And that means their crimes will become obvious.

So now, in a rare display of perspicacity, the Dems have realized that they have to distance themselves from these thugs, and pronto. It’s so obvious that even Pelosi, who is as good as brain-dead, knows it.

This is just self-preservation. They’ll continue to make up outrageous lies about President Trump, Republicans, veterans, historic statuary, law & order, and white people. The only change is that “anti-fa” won’t be part of it.

Well it didn’t take long for the Antifa to alienate the Dems did it?

I’m not sure they did alienate the Democrats. I think Pelosi’s complaint is really one of “tone it down” rather than “stop doing what you’re doing”.

did she ‘condemn’ with a wink and a nod’
or did she demand that Jerry Brownshirt arrest them and send in the NG ?

Posted about the dems backing away the other day. Optics are looking bad for dems for not forcefully saying this was wrong at the time they occurred.
The nazi/kkk/white nationalist crap is backfiring as everyone is ticked the dems keep labeling them with that crap. Expect more dems and their puppy dog media to start taking a different line to try and soften the image.
