CNN Interview: “We are under threat”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fS4S8WPdAhQ

Après Trump, le déluge!

There’s a “People’s Climate March” on DC happening today, and CNN put a reporter on a bus traveling to the March from Harlem. A protester explained that he was going to Washington because people in inner-city areas “don’t have resources to escape if we have flooding or other issues caused by climate change.”

Shades of Al Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth, and its apocalyptic vision of a drowning NYC.

But not to worry. Worst comes to worst, Al Gore will be out there, plucking people off their rooftops. Al will either be in a boat, or perhaps swooping low in a jet he can afford to charter with part of the proceeds of his $500 million sale of Current TV to the fossil fuel sheikhs of Qatar.

KAYLEE HARTUNG: Juan Rosa, he’s wide awake. Juan, why is it important for you to be a part of today’s march?

PROTESTER: We’re going to Washington today because we are front-line communities, Washington Heights, Harlem, the Bronx. We are communities where people don’t have resources to escape if we have flooding or other issues caused by climate change. And we have an administration that is hostile to the science behind global warming, climate change and hostile to the regulations that were put in place to protect us from those effects. And we’re going today to send a message that we are under threat and that we need action from our policymakers and our elected officials.

“The Sky is Falling” said Chicken Little. Now we have a Chicken Little Brigade of nasty, self-righteous misanthropes.

All this protesting must be a bonanza for the hotel/restaurant people. Locally there are hotels being built everywhere. Now how to piss off the morons….

And let us not underestimate the boomlet of prosperity reaped from one day of momentarily employed protesters.

I’m being followed every time I go somewhere. I didn’t think much of it until I noticed everyone else was being followed too. But no one else seems to notice or care. What’s creepy about it is that it looks like we are being followed by translucent stains of some sort on the ground. Is that what they mean when they say “You are being shadowed!”? What does it mean?

I guess it soon won’t matter since we are about to die in a grand global deluge. BTW, I was watching Al Gore’s carbon-spewing land on the news and it too was being followed. Creepy.

Still waiting for all the predictions the Liberals have made for the past 50 years to come even partly true.

Where’s my Ice Age? Where’s my gas mask? Why do we still have an Ozone Layer? The oceans still have fish crapping in it! Where are all the devastating hurricanes?

And we’re going today to send a message that we are under threat and that we need action from our policymakers and our elected officials.

“And we hired this CO₂ spewing bus to carry us to Washington, DC to prove that we don’t have the resources to escape the rising sea, which would take years and years to rise enough to flood our homes.”

You know, I’m already tired of this “awake”, “Stay awoke”, thing. Can we start calling it, “insomniated”?

casualobserver | April 29, 2017 at 11:27 am

There is nothing like a well scripted reply to leading and broad questions to give everyone a sense of just how organic and grassroots a march may be. (pure sarcasm)

should have stayed home… his bus caused global warming & the “gas” coming from the Climate News Network made it worse!

The “news” is filled with stories about rising oceans due to climate change, yet they never tell us how much the ocean has risen or how much it will ris each year in the next 10 years. I thought that the science was settled! The truth is that they don’t know and don’t want to lay down hard markers that could disprove their theory.

The whole point of GW is to destroy private industry which competes against the Progressive Fascist utopia and to give gov control over every aspect of society in alignment with Progressive Fascist ideology.

casualobserver in reply to ConradCA. | April 29, 2017 at 5:13 pm

The goal isn’t exactly to destroy public industry. It is to “transform” industry into new channels where the same people who fund the many environmental groups and lobbies are heavily invested. If you look at some of the “sustainability” plans, you’ll see studies showing a need for massive scale up of manufacturing in certain areas and scale down in others. The scale needed for getting to 100% renewable energy in 20 or 30 years, for example, requires a massive factor (100X?) of expansion on existing capacities. Same for everything needed to make the IOT (internet of things) boom.

Of course, there is a fringe that wants to see things like a 50% reduction in human population, etc.

The idiot claims poor people in Washington Heights won’t escape the flooding. Due to dumbed-down education, he does not know what the word “heights” means.

If Washington Heights is flooded, almost all the rest of Manhattan is under as are all of Queens and Brooklyn.

When it floods, intelligent people (which does not include global warming zealots) look for high ground, so people would go to Washington Heights, not try to escape from it.

JackRussellTerrierist | April 29, 2017 at 2:05 pm

If only it were all true. Our house is at an elevation such that it would become an oceanfront property. Big $$$!

It’s not “climate change”. It’s not “global warming”. It’s Anthropogenic Climate Change or Anthropogenic Global Warming. Catastrophic in some sects.

It’s like immigration reform. It’s Catastrophic Anthropogenic Immigration Reform forced by the last president’s unwillingness or inability to accept responsibility for the collateral damage from social justice adventurism in second and third-world nations and redistributive change in first-world nations, and the massive loss of life under the Pro-Choice Church.

The causes and motives of CAGW and CAIR are misrepresented and mischaracterized, respectively, presumably by the same special and peculiar interests.

There is a cure, progs:

1) dig a hole
2) lie down in the hole
3) Kill yourself
4) Have someone shovel over

Benefits:
1) you stop emitting CO2, saving the environment
2) you provide for the earthworms, saving the environment

It’s a win-win situation. Do it.

Thanks for the link! That will be a wonderful resource the next time a “consensus” believer tries to convince me to share in the ACP – Anthropogenic Climate Panic!

Won’t do any good; facts are irrelevant to the argument. Anyone who actually lives on the seacoast can testify that sea levels haven’t moved in living memory. But that doesn’t make any difference to the faithful.

A bunch of folks made mention of this … Sort of … But i wonder how much less carbon and cleaner the world would be if all these idiots stayed home … I mean the pipeline protestors. .. The global warming freaks … All the conferences …etc

Mark, would it be OK if I just wish they get flooded 🙂
