REACTION to #BREXIT

Everyone Has Something to Say – Politicians to Hollywood to ordinary people with memes!

So last night the United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union. Of course, everyone has an opinion. When I say everyone I mean everyone.

This is by far the best reaction. Of course, I’m biased since I’m American.

Second best tweet:

Nigel Farage, who initially conceded when he saw exit polls and then changed his mind and then changed it again, celebrated the UK’s Independence Day.

Prime Minister David Cameron resigned. He campaigned to remain in the EU.

Presidential candidates also reacted:

The EU showed solidarity with themselves as they are now 27 instead of 28.

IMF Chief Christine Lagarde wants some clarity on the process.

President Frank Underwood had a few words, too.

Is Lindsay Lohan British? Her tweets made it sound like the Brexit decision really affects her or something. The tweets were gone this morning, but screenshots are forever.

Cher joined in as well.

The famous crying Jordan face made quite a few appearances.

The Brits had a chance to determine whether they wanted to be an independent sovereign nation or a minor state in a totalitarian ubernation – run, probably, by Germany. Certainly Britain hasn’t had much imput on EU policies in the past. The Brits chose to remain a nation. Good for them.

From what I’ve been reading, the EU deal is very bad for UK. I support their sentiment, but they essentially have zero baragaining power in the exit strategy. The EU gets to dictate the terms of their exit.

That’s bad news for them…your predecessors that signed the stupid EU deal in the first place screwed you on that one.

If the Brits wanted to be governed by Germany they could have slept in during 1939 and saved everyone the trouble.

Freedom really is another name for nothing left to lose. Good for the real people of Britain.

Lindsay Lohan is an expert on British economics because they, too, drive on the wrong side of the road.

She is definitely the expert on people needing 15 years to get something back up. The drugs have not been kind to her in the looks department.

“Some of the folks on the other side [of Remain] have been ascribing to the United States certain actions that we’ll take if the UK does leave the EU. So they say, for example, that, well, we’ll just cut our own trade deals with the United States. So they’re voicing an opinion about what the United States is going to do. I figured you might want to hear it from the President of the United States what I think the United States is going to do.

And on that matter, for example, I think it’s fair to say that maybe some point down the line, there might be a UK-U.S. trade agreement, but it’s not going to happen anytime soon, because our focus is in negotiating with a big bloc, the European Union, to get a trade agreement done, and the UK is going to be in the back of the queue — not because we don’t have a special relationship, but because, given the heavy lift on any trade agreement, us having access to a big market with a lot of countries — rather than trying to do piecemeal trade agreements is hugely inefficient.” –Barack Hussein Obama

To which the people of the sovereign nation of England told US pResident Barack Hussein Obama — fuQueue!

Patterico’s reaction: Next up: Texit

The comments on that post are entertaining. It’s amazing how many people spout off about how they’d itch to be on the tribunals to punish the Texas traitors after they were easily vanquished, etc.

I imagine those same people sit and cheer as the Federal hegemony continues to grow like the blob out of a 50’s science-fiction flick.

American politicians ;
hoping to hunker down to ride it out.
Obama, petulant, defensive & pathetic.
Trump/Sessions, it will be good for America to continue our quest to be on the right side of history.
Hillary & the bulk of republican leadership, trying to have it both ways. Pathetic.
It’s no wonder the usual suspects all hate Trump & who & what “populism” (their term) represents.

“Hillary & the bulk of republican leadership…”

Based on the conduct of the GOP during the last 7+ years, I am of the opinion that Hillary is part of the real ‘leadership’ of the GOP…the DNC.

Gert Wilders and Marine LePen intend to follow suit.

That’s Michael Jordan crying? It doesn’t look like him, around the chin. I prefer the one iof him crying after he won his first NBA championship.

The refugee crises created by the social justice-inspired humanitarian disaster was probably the straw that broke the EU’s back.

The anti-native and [class] diversity (e.g. racist, sexist) factions are eligible for unemployment benefits. Maybe.

BrokeGopher | June 24, 2016 at 9:49 pm

Is it just me, or does it seem like the American Left wanted Scotland to be independent of the UK, but now want them dependent on the EU.

All corrupt scum, all of the time. Except financial and foreign policy geniuses Cher and Lindsay Lohan.
