For as long as I can remember, the premise in the MSM has always been that conservatives, by definition, are greedy, selfish, racist, sexist, homophobic and Islamophobic. I’m sure to have left out a few -ist’s and -phobic’s.

Liberals, on the other hand, are the opposite. Everything is interpreted through this lens.

By definition, if a liberal says something racist, it cannot be because liberals simply are not racists – the must be some other explanation. Likewise, if a conservative says something that could be racist (mentioning ‘golf’ comes to mind), is most assuredly was racist because that is what conservatives are.
Ditto for sexist and everything else.

Same can be said of those on our side who vilify voters who support Trump.

    It proves something.

The GOP is rotted from the inside out.

VF: I don’t think you understood the point of my post. Why in the world do you hijack every thread and try to make it about Trump?

        Because vilification = vilification.

VF: you do realize, do you not, that I was pointing out how liberals in the MSM impose their worldview on both liberals and conservatives. Conservatives in the MSM do the same but to a lesser degree, and given how few conservatives there are in the media, it isn’t very noticeable. It had nothing to do with vilification.

Actually, perhaps you didn’t realize it. One hypothesis I feel comfortable in making – and it has nothing to do with worldview, but is based solely on empirical observation – is that most Trump supporters interpret everything in the context of Trump, even when it had nothing to do with Trump. You have just contributed additional validation of my hypothesis.

Funny, I was here to watch the Invasion of the nasty Trumpkins, with their ugly names for every actual Republican in the race. It did provoke a reaction. And look, how many times did you post about Trump on a thread that isn’t about Trump?

BTW, Trump as a new nickname for Hillary going forward.

I will let others find out for themselves what his nickname is for the queen of despair.
