Threatens to “spill the beans” on HEIDI Cruz

https://twitter.com/TamronMSNBC/status/712668483608121344

This may now officially be a series, “Can you imagine Trump in control of ….”

Prior posts on topic:

Current entry in the series:

A small SuperPAC founded and run by Liz Mair did a mailer in Utah showing a public photo of Melania Trump from a magazine shoot 15 or so years ago.

I have to say, Melania looked marvelous in the shoot. It’s almost — almost — enough to make some anti-Trumpers reconsider.

But it was a completely sleazy tactic attempting to “slut shame” Melania.

Mair, who was fired from the Walker presidential SuperPAC early on for insulting Iowa voters, is not known as a Cruz fan, though obviously now she prefers anyone to Trump. But there is no indication the Cruz campaign had any involvement.

Trump reacted with two tweets attacking Ted Cruz’s wife Heidi. The first of which was deleted to add some additional language.

Here was the first, deleted tweet.

Here was Donald’s second tweet.

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/712457104515317764

What’s the difference? Trump added “lyin’ Ted”

Cruz responded on Twitter

And Heidi responded when asked questions by the press:

https://twitter.com/TamronMSNBC/status/712668483608121344

I think there’s big difference between going after an opposing candidate, and an opposing candidate’s wife. Cruz never went after Melania, and unless there’s some proof the campaign was connected to Mair’s sleazy ploy, Cruz can’t be blamed.

This also isn’t a situation similar to Bill Clinton, who has been a political figure himself for decades. Also, Heidi was not attacked by Trump for public positions she has taken or statements she has made, but for allegedly having some secret Trump threatens to expose.

Trump’s threat may not technically fit the legal definition of extortion or blackmail, but it certainly was extortionate in nature.

Given Trump’s general demeanor, it says more about Trump than about Ted or Heidi Cruz.

Most important, it demonstrates once again why voters should be worried about Trump’s character and fitness to control the IRS, FBI, CIA, NSA, etc.

Another line that Trump has crossed that won’t make any difference to his supporters.

Is Donald Trump a natural buffoon or does he really have to work at it? Either way he’s pretty much perfected it.

So how much impact does Ted Cruz have over a Ted Cruz SuperPac?

In theory zero, legally zero. Past experience has shown that candidates do have some authority over their Superpacs.

But what decides the issue for me is that slut shaming Liz Mair is an awful human being and for Ted Cruz to not have disowned her is a major character flaw. He didn’t disown her yesterday or today (just like nobody in his campaign was fired after the Carson fiasco). But, really there was enough information out there that Liz Mair is a cancer that she ought to have been disowned prior to 2012.

Zachary in reply to rotten. | March 23, 2016 at 3:14 pm

Character flaw? You speak of character flaws? Holy moly, lol.

Immolate in reply to rotten. | March 23, 2016 at 4:26 pm

I’m not getting your logic. Why should Cruz feel beholden to condemn some random political apparatchik republishing Trump’s current wife’s nekid photos? Not only does she not work for him, the only candidate she’s ever had any relationship with was Scott Walker. Why hasn’t Kasich or Clinton or Sanders condemned the picture? My guess, and opinions may differ, is that nobody gives a crap about what Trump does to pimp his wife out or the size of his johnson, or the facebook postings of random, nearly-nonexistent PACs that nobody even knew existed. It the Cruz campaigned cared to risk their legal necks on illegal coordination with a PAC, I’m hoping they’d at least find one that has some influence to peddle.

In short, like most Trump-based conspiracy theories, it’s a fever-dream that requires full-body immersion in the kool-aid and is more a construct of Trump seeking free publicity by making sure that as many people as possible see nekid pictures of his imported child bride so they can admire his virility.

Liz Mair’s cheesy little “Super”-PAC has raised a total of just over $20,000. Pretty small beer.

    https://www.opensecrets.org/pacs/lookup2.php?strID=C00594176&cycle=2016

I doubt that many people even knew of its existence until Trump just now gave it all this free publicity.

Also, it’s not a “Ted Cruz SuperPAC”.
If anything, it’s simply anti-Trump, as evidenced by its name which is a play on Trump’s campaign slogan. It was started on December 7th last year, when there were still several other candidates in the race.

Milhouse in reply to rotten. | March 23, 2016 at 5:40 pm

What do you mean that Cruz hasn’t disowned her? He’s said that he has nothing to do with her, has never met her, doesn’t even know who she is. How much more disowned can she get?

rotten in reply to Milhouse. | March 23, 2016 at 11:47 pm

He said he doesn’t know her or coordinate with her, not that what she did was wrong.

      I don’t buy it.

The sleazy pro-Hitler ad by another Ted Cruz SuperPAC run by his campaign’s lawyer (seriously, the inspiring music comes on when Hitler speaks, google Youtube Heil Trump) says that Ted is just throwing mud at the wall trying to see what will stick.

As for Heidi Cruz she’s an advocate at Golman Sachs for more Mexican immigration and more shipping American jobs overseas (basically more looting of the American middle class by USA too big to fail banks).

If Michele Obama’s Princeton thesis is fair game, then so is Heidi Cruz’s work at the big banks.

Especially since her life’s work opposes some of Ted’s current campaign rhetoric.

“Most important, it demonstrates once again why voters should be worried about Trump’s character and fitness to control the IRS, FBI, CIA, NSA, etc.”

I’ve warned you all about Der Donald being a Wilsonian Collectivist puke, PRETENDING to be a “Republican”.

IF he’s elected, he’ll put the final nail in our republic.

JimMtnViewCaUSA in reply to Ragspierre. | March 23, 2016 at 5:31 pm

Some/many of your arguments are valid or at least have validity.
But this one is flat wrong.
If Hillary is elected, it really is the final nail in the coffin.
If Trump is elected he will be hemmed in at every turn.

Explain to me why that is not self evident.

All of those departments under Obama have been guilty of some of the worst betrayals of public trust in their entire history, so…what would be the problem?

Ragspierre in reply to MrSatyre. | March 23, 2016 at 1:35 pm

Spoken like a true supporter of authoritarian totalitarianism.

“Hey, Obama did it, so it’s our turn…”

Unbelievable. So your problem isn’t with the corruption of Federal government. You’re fine with an Imperial Presidency, you’re fine with tyranny, as long as you think the power and might of the State will only be used against the people you don’t like.

Melania got attacked by Cruz’s clumsier supporters. It’s fair for Trump to hold him responsible, and offer to reply in kind. It’s also absolutely fair for Cruz and his wife to reply as they did. The next steps are important. While Cruz is legally not allowed to have any prior influence over the antics of Liz Mair’s mediocrePac, he can now, and very likely already has, made it clear that he does not want this kind of “support.” The Donald would be well advised to accept Cruz’s statement and let this one go, assuming the unacceptable nonsense stops.

If the nonsense continues, I would very much like to see the candidates present a united front on this one issue.

It’s nice to see the rogue operative’s name associated with her current actions, as well as her history. This will go a long way toward producing more issue-oriented campaigns.

RodFC in reply to Valerie. | March 23, 2016 at 2:28 pm

Early in the campaign, I remember Trump sending out cease-and-desist letters to pacs supporting him.

Ragspierre in reply to RodFC. | March 23, 2016 at 2:39 pm

Links? To T-rumpian suppression of the First Amendment…

        Sunhawk2 in reply to Ragspierre. | March 23, 2016 at 7:16 pm

Did you even read what he said? He didn’t send those C&D letters to PACs opposing him, he sent them to those who wanted to *support* him. But of course you are so unhinged that it doesn’t matter.

Immolate in reply to Valerie. | March 23, 2016 at 4:37 pm

I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt, Valerie, and assume that you didn’t realize that this “story” wouldn’t be a story if Trump didn’t promote it. He made it go viral by threatening Cruz’ wife. Did he know what he was doing? Who knows. He has no filter between his glands and his mouth, and is well-known for blurting out whatever uniformed gibberish is coalescing in his brain.

Back in the day, Hollywood used a fictional character to mock Republicans. Today, Trump makes Archie Bunker redundant.

It’s fair for Trump to hold him responsible

So if I, with $10,000 seed money from a few friends, set up a non-aligned SuperPAC and used it to bash Ted Cruz, “it would be fair” for Ted Cruz to hold Donald Trump (or as you affectionately call him, “The Donald”) responsible for my actions?

Common Sense | March 23, 2016 at 1:59 pm

No the question should be can you imagine Hillary Clinton in control of the IRS, FBI, CIA, NSA, ect.

Hint look at what Obama has done to us over the last 7 years!

This kerfuffle has a lifespan of a few days… till the next one shows up.

On the other hand, Jeb Bush endorsing Ted Cruz is the kiss of political death for him with anti-establishment minded voters.

It can’t be wished away or pretended away.

forksdad in reply to VotingFemale. | March 23, 2016 at 2:21 pm

Cruz supporters running away/ignoring the Bush endorsement? That can’t be right. Any day now, no any minute now they will joyfully announce their new alliance.

They are not ashamed of accepting the Bush support and money team are they? They don’t want to hide the fact they are now hand in glove with the GOPe. I am certain that they will greet this announcement with confidence and joy and LI will do an article just as they did on Carson’s endorsement of Trump.

Immolate in reply to forksdad. | March 23, 2016 at 4:50 pm

Cruz would love to have the support of every candidate that drops out, in the hopes of their support bringing the support of their voters.

Trump would too. Not only did he accept Carson’s endorsement, he’s affirmatively embraced a man whose character he impugned and whose mental health he questioned.

Only a political neophyte would attempt to make a negative out of that.

forksdad in reply to Immolate. | March 23, 2016 at 10:26 pm

        Everybody does it.

I’ve forgotten, did Trump accept Christie’s brother on his finance team? Did he inherit the Carson bundlers and their pacs?

Just sad that you think endorsements from Christie and Carson are the same as taking on the Bushes finance team.

Ragspierre in reply to VotingFemale. | March 23, 2016 at 2:22 pm

    Chris.

    Christie.

As things progress, you will see everyone breaking one way or the other.

    Pro-torture, pro command economy T-rump?

    Pro Constitution, pro market Cruz?

Jeb Bush endorsing Ted Cruz is the kiss of political death for him with anti-establishment minded voters.

Yet when Obama-hugger and deeply, deeply “establishment” candidate Chris Christie endorsed Trump, that was somehow not a Thing?

When Benjamin Crump’s and Angela Corey’s BFF Pam Bondi, huge establishment shill and Romniac from way back who was even promised a place in his administration, endorses Trump, that was somehow not a Thing either?

You guys can’t have it both ways.

forksdad in reply to Amy in FL. | March 23, 2016 at 10:33 pm

Sorry, we’re the ones following the ‘big tent’ strategy. I don’t recall anyone touting Trump as an ideologically pure ‘principled conservative’.

On the other hand we’re told that Cruz is a principled conservative. He wouldn’t be deal making. There would be no ‘brokering’ of the convention.

But it was all a sham. If Cruz thought he could win on his own he would have contested Missouri. It was within a few points. But he knew he couldn’t he knew he’d have to deal with someone. He chose the establishment. He chose Bush. He chose the poster child for the S&L scandals. He chose illegal immigration is an act of love Bush. And there is no chance the GOPe comes free. The price of the GOPe is amnesty. He’ll call it something else. He’ll say it won’t happen but when a ‘bipartisan’ bill comes across his desk in the next couple years he’ll sign.

Cruz’s wall will be Obama’s wall. Never finished.

You know who’s side Cruz is on now. Be happy.

Understood, forksdad, but the problem with Trump’s “big tent” strategy is that it doesn’t exist. He purposefully tried to rile the, what he personally calls “rightwing crazies” to get him to the nomination (he hopes, and it looks likely at this point unless those “crazies” wake up pretty darned quickly). He is a disgusting human being who is pandering to the lowest common denominator to advance himself. His 2012 Obama birther angle didn’t get him very far, so his great concern for “making America great” took a back seat to his $160 million raise to renew his NBC contract for The Celebrity Apprentice.

No surprise that his tv deal would take precedent over “making America great again,” though. He’s just slinging red meat to “rightwing crazies,” he says. So they won’t care if he shoots someone or if he’s more interested in padding his pockets than worrying about America. After all, this is the same guy who, knowing Hillary personally, said many many times that she not only did a great job as Secretary of State (even stating this AFTER Benghazi!) but that he knew her so well that he was confident, in 2008, that she’d “make a great president or vice president.”

Sorry, we conservatives, actual conservatives that is, have known better since HillaryCare in the ’90’s. But Trump? He can look at the Russian “reset,” Benghazi, the corruption and cronyism and criminality that surround Hillary like a dense, dark fog, and proclaim her “terrific.”

Naw, don’t think I’ll be voting for that guy.

forksdad in reply to Fuzzy Slippers. | March 24, 2016 at 12:14 am

I don’t personally care for the guy’s public persona. I have no idea what his real life is like. But he is the front runner.

I can and do respect the opinions of the polite commenters. I’ve even upticked some direct disagreement with my points. I like a good well spoken comment. For me it is not a matter of ‘winning’ an argument.

Now I respect your reasons that you won’t vote for him. I cannot follow your lead and I think anyone is better than Hillary.

We agree on far more points (at least those you’ve written) than we disagree on. I hope to read more of your writing.

I also respect your stance, forksdad (particularly so as it is not the unhinged screeching and mindless mantra repetition of die-hard Trump fans 🙂 .)

Professor your entire post is warped and disgusting. Donald Trump is doing what any honorable husband would do by defending his wife and the candidate you seem to like is such a slimebag he gave an entirely inappropriate response. Cruz’s response should have been that he didn’t have anything to do with the attack on Trump’s wife and that he was appalled by it and thought it should stop immediately.

Instead Cruz being a disgusting slimebag that made him the most unliked senator in history made a childish response completing uncritical of the inappropriate ad.

Trump should absolutely tell people about the time Heidi Cruz was found crying hysterically by police on busy expressway with no car and was taken into custody because she was considered a danger to herself and the public. She denied being forced out of car onto the expressway by a raging husband Ted Cruz, but in my opinion that is far more likely than the cover story they concocted that she went crazy on 2 margaritas and then walked to and partially across the expressway so she could have a good cry. Far more likely in my opinion that Heidi and Ted were in car together having huge fight. Car stops and raging Ted makes Heidi get out of car then drives off and leaves her on the expressway.

Immolate in reply to Gary Britt. | March 23, 2016 at 4:57 pm

An honorable husband would defend his latest wife against someone who didn’t attack her by attacking that someone’s wife? If I slugged your wife, would you slug mine, or would you slug me? If someone else slugged your wife, would you still slug my wife? Try to rationalize that in your fizzy brain, Britt, if you still have the synaptic pathways to engage in rationalization.

You are out of your tree. #ScaryGary

Melania posed nude?
You know the meme. Pictures or it didn’t happen!

RodFC in reply to RodFC. | March 23, 2016 at 2:23 pm

On second thought. Don’t bother. I’ve seen the picture and all it does is tempt me to break the ninth commandment.

Sadly, the Professor is completely out of his range on this. Talk about blaming the victim!.
It took several Trump tweets for Cruz to say that the anti-Melania ad was not his. And no point (yet) has Cruz repudiated the ad or Liz Mair whose PAC created the ad.
Cruz has really stumbled here. And I don’t blame Trump one bit.

Ok try this poll just out. Unite behind Trump 54% to unite behind the slimebag Cruz 33%.

The New York billionaire won another 58 delegates Tuesday with a decisive victory in Arizona, putting him within 500 delegates of securing the GOP nomination outright. But should Trump fail to accrue the necessary 1,237 delegates, 54 percent of those polled said the party should back Trump for the nomination anyway. More than a third said the delegates should nominate another person, and 7 percent were unsure.

Of those who said someone else should prevail at a contested convention, 33 percent favored Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, and 23 percent said they would like to see Ohio Gov. John Kasich win the nomination. Others receiving support were Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida (10 percent), retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson (5 percent), 2012 nominee Mitt Romney (4 percent), former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (3 percent) and House Speaker Paul Ryan (2 percent). Eighteen percent said they didn’t know.

I missed the link to Sen Cruz condemning the initial smear/attack on Melania Trump carried out ostensibly in support of his campaign.

Can someone post that? Thanks

Ragspierre in reply to DaMav. | March 23, 2016 at 2:36 pm

Less than 30 minutes after Mr. Trump’s post, as primary results trickled in, Mr. Cruz responded.

“Pic of your wife not from us,” he wrote. “Donald, if you try to attack Heidi, you’re more of a coward than I thought. #classless.”

DaMav in reply to Ragspierre. | March 23, 2016 at 2:50 pm

So you’re saying Cruz never condemned the attack on Mrs. Trump, repudiated it, or distanced himself from it?

That might well indicate that voters should be worried about Cruz’s “character and fitness to control the IRS, FBI, CIA, NSA, etc.”

Surely we can all agree this kind of classless activity should be rejected and condemned by all sides.

When the contingent liability pool equals the planet minus Liz Meir, you’re allowed to forgo apologies.

forksdad in reply to Immolate. | March 23, 2016 at 10:39 pm

If she had done it to support me I certainly would have. Since she didn’t I won’t. It would be foolish. Since she did do it to support Cruz yes he should.

Heck if I were a candidate in the race I would condemn it in the strongest possible terms.

Immolate in reply to Immolate. | March 24, 2016 at 2:08 am

@forksdad a disabused trump voter in Utah is more likely to support Kasich than Cruz, as that person has already demonstrated their non-conservative credentials and lack of religious credibility. Though the two have little in common with regard to maturity or policy understanding, they are both big-government emoters.

Liz Meirs shares their contempt for conservatives, as she aptly demonstrated when she was coat-tailing the Walker campaign.

Drudge: JEB! FOR TED — ANOTHER BUSH ENDORSEMENT…

Ted Cruz embraced Jeb Bush’s endorsement on Wednesday and claimed he could build a broad coalition capable of beating Hillary Clinton in the fall – if only he can climb past the surging Republican presidential front-runner, Donald Trump.

Ted Cruz’s response lifted a line from the movie “An American President.”

http://www.follownews.com/ted-cruz-plagiarizes-the-american-president-to-intimidate-donald-trump-zpxb

I guess Aaron Sorkin will get his royalty check any day now.

My well considered analysis: Cruz will now be #RejecTED by many more voters. Folks hate lying backstabbing traitors who join forces with the #DCCartel he said he opposed for years.

Think Not? Just ask Scott Brown of Massachusetts and Marco Rubio of Florida.

Now we know why Sarah Palin RejecTED Cruz.

It’s amazing how all this slimy stuff happens around Ted Cruz. How all this slimy stuff helps out Ted Cruz, but it’s never his responsibity.

How Clintonesque.

The good thing is, Cruz had to out himself as a closet RINO before a general election could happen. It is an act of shear desperation and disgrace in the face of voters hell bent on reforming the GOP and shedding RINOs.

Not your bullshit lies. Links to a changed Cruz position.

RINO is probably a term Trump supporters should consider avoiding.

Merlin in reply to VotingFemale. | March 23, 2016 at 4:39 pm

Ted Cruz has been the party’s rigid, redheaded step-child longer than Trump has been on his current lark. That some of the GOPe are trying to deny Trump the nomination by temporarily aligning themselves behind Cruz should not be construed as Cruz becoming GOPe. They’ll discard him at the first opportunity if they can get to an open convention where Trump is forced to deal. The GOPe has a better chance of dealing advantageously with one of their own kind (Trump) than they do Cruz. Trump’s world is their world, where principle and convictions are a nuisance and everything is negotiable. Cruz is still the odd duck here.

forksdad in reply to Merlin. | March 23, 2016 at 10:44 pm

So by your analysis, Cruz is willing to be a stalking horse for the GOPe or Hillary?

Such an honest, principled position. He’s willing to throw in with the devil on the outside chance he gets thrown a bone or to shine their boots?

        Yeah. That’s winning.

Merlin in reply to forksdad. | March 24, 2016 at 10:05 am

Sadly, no. There is no winning. There will be no winning. Celebrity will trump substance yet again and the American people will lose yet again. We’ve taken the dead end road of the hope and change president and now the bus is veering down a dead end road to the first mega-celebrity president. But it’s gonna be great, right?

On what planet is Ted Cruz a shill for “the establishment”? Their hatred (and attempts to torpedo) Ted Cruz is intense and second only to their desire to strangle Trump’s candidacy.

I like a good conspiracy theory as much as anyone but yours isn’t very good.

Barry in reply to Ichneumon. | March 23, 2016 at 9:45 pm

“On what planet is Ted Cruz a shill for “the establishment”?”

Maybe this planet, with all the bush clan and money men now working for or endorsing him?

        Including jeb!

If that is not your definition of establishment, what is?

They’re picking the lesser of two evils in their minds, Barry. They don’t want Trump, for reasons that are obvious to everyone but Trump fans, and they are sucking it up to help defeat him. They don’t “support” Cruz, and he is not “one of them.” They see the danger Trump poses to our republic and are (belatedly) rallying behind Cruz because he has managed to beat Trump in eight primary elections / caucuses and Kasich, they are forced to acknowledge, has zero chance.

Spinning their “support” as all-in, enthusiastic endorsements is to ignore recent history and all of the facts. You know how people say they’d rather have a fork in the eye (a very bad thing) over [fill in the blank] (an even worse thing)? That’s what’s happening here. They are taking the fork in the eye instead of the other alternative that they deem, quite rightly, far worse: Trump.

Spin until the cows come home, but Ted Cruz is not now, never has been, and never will be GOPe. You know how I know that? Because he’s been a constitutional conservative his entire life. He’s never wavered. He didn’t sell out in Iowa for the King Corn vote, as did Trump, and he still won that caucus. He’s true blue.

Trump? He’s a disaster on every conceivable level, including the fact that he is not now and has never ever been a conservative.

forksdad in reply to Barry. | March 23, 2016 at 11:04 pm

Trump, still has all the right enemies from Hillary to the GOPe.

But lets look at this deeper. LI has run all the high profile endorsements of Trump the same or next day. Once at least with a photoshop pic. But the most important endorsement by the entire Bush team is …. crickets. Why, why no photoshop of Cruz on Mrs Bush maybe the one from when she was smuggling jewelry? Why no photoshop of the Bush boys adding Cruz in? Hmmm.

Spin it the way you want. Trump has fired up the base and brought in new voters. But you’re going to give it to whomever the GOPe deems safe or Hillary. You have an actual living Republican who will beat Hillary like a drum at the polls and widen the party base but you don’t like who it is.

The funniest part for me? I don’t like Trump. He wasn’t my choice until Carson endorsed him. I don’t like his three divorces nor his adultery.

The only reason I am responding is to the unhinged Trump hate. The name calling, the declarations of ideological purity, the smears the ridiculous notion that a ‘contested convention’ is somehow different than a brokered convention.

The idea that you are working with Bush and the GOPe but you’ve maintained your ‘principled conservative’ position. The devil doesn’t give anything for free.

I dislike bullies one of Trump’s qualities. But now in an effort to stop Trump and belittle and insult his supporters commenters and some authors here have become just that.

There is no war like a civil war because whoever wins both sides lose. I’m really tired of coming here and seeing a civil war.

BTW if one of the authors here had posted a Bush endorsement announcement I wouldn’t have.

Barry in reply to Barry. | March 24, 2016 at 1:10 am

Fuzzy, yes of course they are “picking the lesser of two evils in their minds”. It doesn’t change the fact that Cruz has been and still is an GOPe insider. I don’t need to recount his history, I’m sure you know it. That “Because he’s been a constitutional conservative his entire life.” doesn’t change that fact. You think grandstanding on the senate floor makes him an outsider. Perhaps it was nothing more than a ploy in his bid for the republican nomination. And I now think it was nothing more than that.

I don’t hate Cruz like you hate trump. Trump scares you, not because he isn’t a conservative, but because he is not beholden to the party powers. You voted for Romney, and as I have shown, he is no more a conservative than Trump.

As for Cruz, he fooled me until recently. Glen Beck, religious nutcase, check. Introductions by “kill the fags” preachers, check. Slyly changing trumps wording into something he did not say, check. Just another politician like all the others, in it for himself. No better than the hated Trump.

I could care less what you think about trump. But if you voted GOPe for Romney/McCain/Dole, please don’t pretend your dislike of trump has anything to do with conservative values or the constitution. Maybe you tell these things to yourself to make you feel better.

“They see the danger Trump poses to our republic and are (belatedly) rallying behind Cruz because he has managed to beat Trump in eight primary elections / caucuses and Kasich, they are forced to acknowledge, has zero chance.”

Cruz has zero chance of reaching the magic number. Cruz isn’t stupid, so deals are being made. What deal, I do not know, but Cruz will sell the constitution to get what he wants, just like all the other politicians.

“They are taking the fork in the eye instead of the other alternative that they deem, quite rightly, far worse: Trump.”

Yea, that trump, the next hitler. Your delusional. Trump is no better, and no worse than the recent GOPe nominee’s you supported. He just doesn’t lie as nicely as say, a Romney. A Romney that will stab you in the back as soon as it is politically convenient.

“He didn’t sell out in Iowa for the King Corn vote, as did Trump, and he still won that caucus.”

BS. He would have sold out in a heartbeat if that is what it took. He has oil money behind him and the oil money doesn’t like ethanol.

          “He’s true blue.”

You need to open your eyes as you are blind.

“Trump? He’s a disaster on every conceivable level, including the fact that he is not now and has never ever been a conservative.”

I don’t claim he is a conservative. I claim he is an American. I claim, that with all his obvious faults, he believes in the greatness of this country, and of the average person. I don’t give a flip about all your social issues that seem to be your definition of “conservative”. On the important items for this country, Trump is a conservative and has been for a very long time. As I’ve shown in excerpts from his writing.

          #NeverTrump = ElectHillary

I don’t care that you would never vote for trump. I’m quite sure you would prefer Hillary. As would most of the GOP.

Hi again, Barry. You’re right, Trump scares me, and he scares every constitutional conservative who understands what he is and the danger he poses to our republic.

It’s odd to me that you can admit that Trump is not a conservative, no more so, you say, than Romney, and then in the same breath denigrate me for having voted for Mitt Romney. The implication being that you did not vote for Romney. If that’s the case and according to your logic, you elected Obama (“#NeverTrump = ElectHillary” differs how from Not Mitt = Obama?).

Romney, as I wrote repeatedly prior to his winning the GOP nomination, was/is not a true conservative. He was and is a smarmy, finger-to-the-political winds die-hard, sell-out politician. He was also, however, dignified, articulate, and despite his faith in big government, far less worrisome on every level than is Trump. I could see Romney in the White House, I could see he and Ann meeting foreign leaders and not embarrassing us (as Obama and his horrid wife so often do), I could see Romney conduct himself with presidential grace and dignity. Romney wouldn’t have been ideal to me; he would have been another President Bush (either one, doesn’t matter, both were big-spending, big government guys). That, to me, was preferable to a second Obama term.

I did the same thing in ’08 when I voted for McCain, though that vote was easier for me (at the time) because of Sarah being in the VP slot.

As to my “social” issues that define conservatism for me, I have no idea what you are talking about. I am a Constitutional conservative who believes the smaller government is, the better for the people, that government needs to get out of the way of business owners and the individual, that we are being “taxed enough already,” and that the three branches of government have all veered tragically off their intended course. The only “social issues” I address have to do with religious freedom, the First, Second, Fourth, Fifth, and Tenth Amendments, though I am pro-life, I also don’t think that the federal government should have anything to do with abortion (not finding a so-called “right to abortion” in the Constitution, not funding it with taxpayer money via Planned Parenthood, etc.). Conservatism to me means–at its core and in almost all things–limiting and reining in government, not expanding it by leaps and bounds as Trump has promised to do.

You have not yet been offensive to the degree that I will not interact with you, but I would love to see you be a bit more open to views that are not your own. We’re supposedly on the same side, but for some reason, a lot of Trump fans think that it’s a good idea to attack other conservatives/Republicans/et al. This, I shouldn’t have to point out, is a losing strategy (ask Jeb how far his assertion that he didn’t need conservatives to win the nomination got him). Even if your guy wins, he will never have a mandate, he will never have the entire country (or even a bare majority of it) behind him. Heck, he won’t even have his (current) party behind him. He will be wounded and his political capital will be in the red; indeed, this knowledge is very heartening to me because it means he won’t even have the goodwill that Obama started with when he won in ’08. This, thankfully, will greatly diminish his ability to “reign” over the country and to “manage” the American people.

It will be interesting to see how many Trump fans support and defend him should he win. I was often surprised when lefties supported Obama in terms of things they supposedly stood against . . . at least when President Bush did them. They seemed happy as clams when Obama did the same exact thing. I suspect that this will be true of Trump fans, too. No matter what he does, it will be A-OK with the Trump base. I have never and will never deviate from my core principles and values to support the same actions in one guy that I condemn in another. That way leads to soul-destroying tyranny. This fundamental quality of many on the right is why President Bush’s approval rating dipped into the 20’s. He went too far, became too progressive, spent too much, borrowed too much, amassed too much power into the executive. Even his base abandoned him. As I said, it would be interesting to see if Trump’s fans are that honest, that principled. I definitely hope so, but given the bitter and rancorous dialogue they enjoy, I do have my doubts.

We should ALL be concerned about the abuse of power in any POTUS, but to say you are MORE concerned about Cruz is to say you have no working brain.

Who said I wasn’t concerned about ANY POTUS?

My brain is working fine. Watching the fantastic amount of comments you make, littered with disparagement, maybe you should be more concerned about yourself!

I repeat, I am more concerned about Cruz’s propensity to abuse power than Trump’s.

I could, I suppose, recount all the various times that Der Donald has worked, spent money, and designed to suppress the first amendment rights of critics.

I could, I suppose, recount the various times he’s worked, spent money, and slimed anyone who opposed his efforts to take the property of others.

I could do all that and more. And I could point out that Cruz has NEVER approached doing any of that, or any of the other corrupt, power-grubbing things that Der Donald has made hallmarks of his career as a crony capitalist thug.

If you’re too stupid or corrupt yourself not to have acquainted yourself with these things, there really is nothing I can do for you.

          You are too far gone.

You are new here so let me explain somethings.

Brownshirt much? Threats of physical violence to add to your vile insults and tantrums? Do you really talk like this in person? What is wrong with you?

You’ve gone Full Milhouse. No, I don’t remember him making threats so you’ve passed Full Milhouse and moved into Brownshirt territory.

Is it a cathartic thing where you’re shouting at the screen as you type? Is your life so bitter you have to vent your spleen on people you can’t see? I don’t see an upside of this for you. People who used to read your comments and give them a fair hearing have just given up where Trump is concerned. How long before you’re just an angry clown worrying about your quiet train ride?

You shouldn’t be. I’ll just stomp the shit out of you rhetorically.

Being a big time attorney and all stomping me rhetorically should be really easy for you. Yet, it’s insults, yelling and calling me a liar.

Your boy just took the GOPe thirty pieces of silver. What did it buy the original guy.

You shouldn’t be surprised at being called a Brownshirt when you threaten violence during a political discussion. I would have given you the benefit of the doubt but you’ve been completely unhinged.

Scared of you? No, scared for you. You have become a parody of an angry internet troll. Again, do you really act like this in person? Is this how you want to speak to people who you disagree with?

          Habits become character.

If I were Ted Cruz I’d disavow any ‘supporter’ who shrieked and threatened violence, whether they later walked it back or not.

You have become a parody of an angry internet troll. Again, do you really act like this in person? Is this how you want to speak to people who you disagree with?

You’re addressing that to Donald Trump, right?

Once Trump gets 110-130 more delegates, Cruz cannot outright win.
Today I heard a news. Cruz says that Kasich should get out because he cannot outright win.

Does that mean Cruz will drop out if Trump gets those delegates?

    The GOP Establishment is desperate.

It reminds me of passenger jet crew who runs their calculations, double checks them, and realizes their fuel has been leaking and there isn’t enough left to make it to dry land & a safe landing.

Undoubtedly, GOP Donors are holding their collective breath to see how voters react to Cruz selling them out to the GOP Establishment.

There will be vocal angry Cruz diehards but numbers matter and temper tantrums will hasten Cruz’s loss.

There’s no way that ¡Cruz! has changed any of his positions to secure the ¡Jeb! funding. No this was done by the GOPe to bring party unity and secure defeating Trump, I mean Hillary in the general election.

¡Cruz! is too pure to sully himself.

Enough sarcasm, this is too easy with you. First, if the first brokered ballot moves Cruz’s way he’ll offer Veep to Bush. If it moves towards more of a ‘muddle’ then ¡Cruz’s! price will be AG or maybe even SCOTUS.

Either way Cruz has dropped the pretenses and shown who he is willing accept money, support and make deals with. Bush, GOPe.

Be happy. You know who’s holding the leash now.

This is actually Cruz shooting himself in the foot, since more Kasich voters pick Trump as their second choice than Cruz. (per recent Qpac poll)

The reason I supported the supporters of Cruz and Trump simultaneously low these many months was hedging my anti-RINO bets to get an real reformer into office.

The Cruz shoe dropped on March 11, 2016 when he met with Jeb Bush and a gathering of GOP donors.

Trump is a real estate guy in the private sector. That is how real estate works.

On the other hand the Clintons are both public servants or former public servants using their access, influence, and power since they were in Arkansas.

I should not have to spell that out for you or what the obligations and expectations of either position should be.

Can anyone explain why there is no reply button to some some comments?

Trump is establishing boundaries. The question is if there exists sufficient nexus to address Cruz rather than Mair.

Actually, the two wives are not equivalent, as their situations are so radically different. One is arguably in solid with the New World Order, and the other rather obviously is not. So to a conservative, only one of them is a proper target for political criticism.

Actually Trump has 751. He has 12 more from the Missouri win.

Ragspierre in reply to Gary Britt. | March 23, 2016 at 5:51 pm

In my opinion, the fact your wife flees out the back door when you come home and bears all those facial bruises it because you constantly beat her.

      Unhinged Alert! hahahaha

There are actual 911 calls and a police report and actual demonstrable incident regarding crazy/abused Heidi Cruz being picked up by the police from busy expressway, for being a danger to herself and the public, and without a car that got her to that expressway.

That’s the difference between a real incident that seems unlikely to be the result of an Executive from Goldman Sachs going crazy after 2 margaritas and walking some distance to the expressway to sit down in the middle of it and have a good cry versus your totally made up bullshit.

Given the facts of this real incident I would say it is far more likely that the above is a cover story and what really happened was a raging Ted Cruz stopped car with he and Heidi inside, forced Heidi out, and then drove off leaving her alone in the middle of the expressway.

janitor in reply to Gary Britt. | March 23, 2016 at 8:54 pm

I think the police report said “two sips” of a Margarita.

Be that as it may, I agree that a busy expressway does seem like a strange place to just go for a walk — for any reason.

More Americans have been touched by depression in their family than have had a wife or mother voluntarily pose naked for European gents’ magazines. In case you’re wondering which “victim” they’re probably more likely to sympathize with.

I don’t think sending his minions out to rip Heidi Cruz to shreds over a minor episode of depression some years back is going to convince a lot of voters to suddenly go out and buy a ticket for the Trump Train.

In fact, now that the Federal government is the keeper of everyone’s private health records, and therefore could conceivably hoover up all the “blackmail-able” private medical details it wants on anyone it likes, such an attack may in fact give people cause to think twice about giving a man like Trump that kind of power over them and theirs.

Even more married couples have experienced or know someone who has experienced an abusive violent husband who is capable of stopping car on busy expressway, forcing wife out, and then driving off leaving her there alone and abandoned.

Nobody is talking about Heidi being depressed. I’m saying that whole I had 2 margaritas and went crazy and walked to the expressway is just a cover story to protect old violent Teddy Boy. I think much more likely raging Ted stopped car, forced Heidi out, and then drove off and left her there.

genes in reply to Gary Britt. | March 23, 2016 at 7:23 pm

Would this be slander or libel?

Nope. But Ragspierre’s post to me above technically was because he said what he said was a “fact”, and I nor my wife are public figures like Cruz.

Ragspierre’s defense would be that he is such a well known crazy liar that nobody would believe what he said. The old Penthouse – Jerry Falwell defense.

It was a single isolated bout of garden-variety depression, over a decade ago, first reported on by Buzzfeed more than a year ago. She had had two sips of a Margarita, not two Margaritas, and the incident report states that she did not appear intoxicated in the slightest. And there’s no hint that she was ever abused or “forced out of car onto the expressway by a raging husband Ted Cruz.”

That’s it. There’s no “there” there. The only ones who come out looking bad here are the grubs who are trying to make something of it, trying to tear strips off a private citizen for having suffered a minor one-off bout of depression over a decade ago — something the majority of American families can and will empathize with.

Clinical depression doesn’t come in one single isolated instance. No way. There is just one police report we know about not one incident. Lots of good families are great at covering up verbally and emotionally abusive husbands. 2 sips from a margarita and she goes crazy and walks to expressway and sits down to have a good cry prompting numerous 911 calls. I’m not buying it. Far more likely in my mind she was forced out of car by raging husband and abandoned there. Then when police got involved they needed cover story to protect Ted and family income.

There is far more there there than Melania Trump being a beautiful supermodel.

          Me: bout of garden-variety depression”
          “one-off bout of depression”

Gary the Dim: “Clinical depression doesn’t come in one single isolated instance. No way. There is just one police report we know about not one incident. “

          Dictionary time!

You are a moron. Normal everyday its a rainy day depression doesn’t make a person suicidal. Only bouts of real serious clinical depression the kind needing medication and or therapy makes one suicidal. Heidi and Teds phony cover story is Heidi was suicidal. The police and 911 callers were afraid she was suicidal.

Stop running your stupid mouth trying to deflect for what is likely abusive Ted Cruz episode.

Heidi and Teds phony cover story is Heidi was suicidal.

No it wasn’t, you despicable freak.

“About a decade ago, when Mrs. Cruz returned from D.C. to Texas and faced a significant professional transition, she experienced a brief bout of depression,” said Jason Miller, an adviser to the senator. “Like millions of Americans, she came through that struggle with prayer, Christian counseling, and the love and support of her husband and family.”

You are a pathological liar. And in your hero’s books, that makes you — like your other new hero Ben Carson — pretty much a child molester. Now go pull the wings off some butterflies or kick a kitten or something equally gratuitously cruel and pointless as attacking a middle-aged career woman and private citizen for having suffered a brief bout of depression 11 years ago.

Ok let’s take your moron point of view of the facts.

Heidi had a bought, a single incident of sadness. But she was not clinically depressed, not suicidal, not in need of therapy and medication. Then she had two sips from a margarita and decidex perfectly rationally and not because she was suicidal to take a leisurely stroll over to a busy and dangerous expressway cross that expressway 4 or 5 lanes of traffic to the median so she could sit down and have a nice rational non suicidal cry.

Meanwhile motorists are so concerned that she was going to kill herself that several of them call 911. The police arrive and after speaking with decide she may well be suicidal and take her into custody and transport her to police station.

Now you say all the 911 callers and the police were wrong. Heidi wasn’t suicidal and she was just out for a perfectly rational normal little walk.

I say you are a moron full of shit up to your eyebrows if you really believe that giant load of crap. Heidi Cruz was clinically depressed. She was likely on medication and that “christian counseling” was in fact therapy by another name.

But none of that answers the specific question of how did Heidi Cruz come to be in median of busy dangerous expressway. There are only two possible explanations. 1. She was in fact suicidal and went to the expressway thinking of possibly harming herself. Or

          2. Heidi was depressed and emotional but not suicidal over say marital problems with hubby. Her and hubby Ted are having big fight in car driving onbexpressway. Ted stops car and orders her out of car and then drives off. Heidi left stranded in median of busy expressway has no way to get home and it is too dangerous to try and cross freeway. Eventually she becomes hysterical and crying over her predicament and horrible treatment by Ted Cruz. Drivers see this and confuse it for being suicidal. When police arrive Heidi can’t tell them the truth that would destroy Ted and family income. So to protect herself and kids she goes along with the crazy from two sips of margarita and suicidal cover story.

I say you are a moron full of shit up to your eyebrows

Of course you do. Because you have no big-people words or big-people ideas, you’re down to raging like a child and spewing 4th grade invective.

Heidi Cruz had a one-off bout of mental illness 11 years ago and appears to have recovered just fine. I wish you the same success in your struggle.

“Nobody is talking about Heidi being depressed. I’m saying that whole I had 2 margaritas and went crazy and walked to the expressway is just a cover story ” I know people who’d done that type of thing.

Stop attacking his wife. People are not going to put up with this kind of crap. STOP IT!

I will when Ted mans up and says he is disgusted by attacks on Melania Trump, wants them to stop and disavows them. Instead he gave some juvenille response that did none of these things. So turn about is fair play and if his crazy bitch goldman sachs wife lives in a glass house then he shouldnt have given the attacks on Melania Trump his slimy wink and nod of approval.

Gary you’re a genius. No need for Trump to do it, you just did. The only thing positive that I can say for Trump is although he is a blow hard, he’s our blow hard. I held my nose and voted for Romney. I can do the same for Trump.

Can you imagine Heidi CFR and her lying husband anywhere near the Oval Office?

Milhouse in reply to HarrietHT. | March 23, 2016 at 5:54 pm

Can someone explain what exactly it is about the CFR that so unhinges certain right-wing nuts? Goldman Sachs I kind of understand, becuase it means Joos. But what have they got against the CFR?

dorsaighost in reply to Milhouse. | March 24, 2016 at 12:38 pm

heh Milhouse … its liberal who dislike the joos …

It’s the “Sovereign Citizen” nutjobs that have big issues with the CFR because they think that the CFR represents the “One World” government movement that is trying to end United States soverignty and make the US subservient to the UN (or some other shadowy world body, run by dictators and plutocrats).

Its effectively the Tinfoil-hat crowd screaming and pointing, saying “THE END IS NIGH” or “OUR SOVEREIGNTY IS BEING STRIPPED AWAY” when any rational individual looks at it and sees that it’s just a bunch of largely-unrelated financial transactions and policy briefs (without even that much influence anymore).

I have a tendency to put the CFR nutjobs into the same category that claim a Court has no jurisdiction because the flag in it has gold fringe, that no personal jurisdiction exists because the name on the Information or Indictment is in ALL CAPS, or that the United States is still operating under the Articles of Confederation because the Constitution of the United States wasn’t properly ratified in 1788.

“What, me worry about him in control of the IRS, FBI, DOJ, CIA, NSA, EPA, and Park Police?”

And Obamacare-mandated universal electronic medical records, Professor. Don’t forget those.

Now that he’s demonstrated that he’s not above using something so personal as a bout of mild depression suffered some years back by the private-citizen spouse of a declared “political enemy” as a cudgel, I’m not sure this is the guy we want having access to every private citizen’s personal medical records.

Heidi Cruz better harden up. Liz Mair is on the prowl.

And the good Professor “takes the bait”….

One only has to look into the background of the PAC involved and run by one Liz Mair to realize this is part of the establishment job security push and the 100 day plan to take down Trump. Her early efforts such as those described in the WSJ Nov 15,2015

“The most concerted effort is Trump Card LLC, the self-styled guerrilla campaign being launched by Liz Mair, the former online communications director of the Republican National Committee.”

“Ms. Mair, who has ties to the libertarian movement and the GOP establishment, said that donors backing Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, Mr. Kasich and Mr. Bush are interested, and that some worry that going public could hurt their candidate.”

It appears Cruz, Romney et.al are approaching the “bottom of the barrel” using this consultant to keep their finger prints off the dirty work. Hold that Bible high Mr Cruz….

Liz Mair was also FIRED from the Walker campaign after 1 day because it only took her 24 hours to show she was a vile disgusting unethical CRAZY BITCH.

Ragspierre in reply to Gary Britt. | March 24, 2016 at 8:54 am

“…it only took her 24 hours to show she was a vile disgusting unethical CRAZY BITCH.”

You do that every day, and in considerably less time…!!!

And now that vile disgusting crazy bitch Liz Mair is working for Cruz naturally. Because being vile and disgusting is something Cruz as the slimiest of lawyers thinks is a positive character trait.

I am so disgusted with Cruz and his supporters that I will vote Hillary before I would ever vote Cruz. Its Trump or nothing for me. I will never vote for a GOPe squish of any kind much less a disgusting slimebag like GOPe RINO squish Cruz. I will vote Hillary just to make sure these bastards all lose if they manage to derail the Trump train.

This is the end of the GOPe one way or another.

And now that vile disgusting crazy bitch Liz Mair is working for Cruz naturally.

Cite, please, for your “Liz Mair is working for Cruz” claim. Thanks.

Gary? No cite? If you were lying, just go ahead and admit it.

rotten in reply to Amy in FL. | March 24, 2016 at 11:00 am

Donald Trump sent cease and desist orders to Superpacs claiming to support him. Ted Cruz didn’t & even has campaign lawyers running Superpacs. Cruz has yet to disown Mair or Mair’s message, he only states he wasn’t communicating with her.

If you lay down with Dogs you get fleas.

Exactly. Liz Mair is Cruz people and she works for Cruz until he disavows her and her message. Instead he gave her and her message a wink, nod, and a smile which is exactly why I started turning the tables on the slimy lawyer bastard and his crazy ass goldman sachs wife.

I haven’t seen a cite yet for Gary’s claim that “Liz Mair is working for Cruz.” I guess we’ll have to assume that he was lying.

I’m still waiting for a reporter to ask Cruz point blank.

“Are you or are you not the white horse savior of mormon prophecy as claimed by Glen Beck?”

Beck was running around all over mormon town proclaiming Cruz the white horse savior prophesied in the book of mormon and I have never heard Cruz deny he is the prophet savior from the book of mormon.

I think it is important that we know for sure if the guy who wants to have his finger on the nuclear button believes he is a prophet from the book of mormon or not.

I bet that normal Trump supporters — and there are some out there, I work with one — are deeply embarrassed to be associated with deranged lunatics like you. They cringe reading your comments, wishing you weren’t on the same side as them.

FACT: Glen Beck introduced Cruz many times in UTAH as the savior called the white horse savior v from mormon prophesy. Beck was being quite literal and not allegorical or a literary device.

FACT: Cruz has never told Beck I am not the fulfiment of that mormon prophesy and stop saying I am.

So Cruz is either wllling to deceive people about their deepest beliefs or he is as insane as Glen Beck and really believes he is the white horse savior of mormon prophesy.

I think voters should know if Cruz is an insane religious nutjob or just a slimy deceiver.

If your normal friends don’t want to know then they are as big of morons as you are.

All these things I’ve said can be verified but just googling it up.

wow, if you think Trump = Obama then you really need to get some help … confirmation bias is a terrible burden when you allow it to stop you from thinking or pay attention to the real world …

The point is that Obama is the most petulant, narcissistic, arrogant, thin-skinned President the US has ever had, which are horrible attributes in a national leader — and that Trump is several times more petulant and narcissistic and arrogant and thin-skinned than even Obama.

GOP elites line up behind Ted Cruz –
Establishment is increasingly prepared to
lose with Cruz than hand the party to Trump
.

Support for Cruz is support for Hillary.

Got that?

LOSE WITH CRUZ.

Cruz seems to have a lot of bad luck when it comes to underlings or loose cannons posting questionable items about competitors. First the Carson drop out, then the Rubio drop out and now Trump’s wife. HE may not be behind them but it seems that he’s been burdened with people who are.

What is this about Cruz the white horse savior of mormon prophesy says he won’t rule out using nuclear weapons against ISIS.

And this crazy fool is the dominionist religious nut job the professor and so many here want to have his finger on nuclear button.

Great idea.

The National Enquirer was first andcright abiut John Edwards cheating. They often scoop msm on political stories msm don’t cover. This was interesting from comments to article and ties in to what I have said above.

Who has said that? Of course it’s possible to revise the tax code.

I have said that Cruz’s pandering that he’s going to “abolish the IRS” and have people send in their returns on “postcards” is idiotic. And it is.

Ditto some of his other repeated pandering soundbites, such as “carpet bombing ISIS” and “tearing up” the Iran deal on his first day in office (nevermind that they’ve already got the benefits from the deal and this is a silly and meaningless visual.)

And the anti-ethanol supposedly “principled” stance concocted by a lawyer whose biggest campaign donors are the fossil fuel industries.

Not to mention his continued me-too attempts to out-do Trump, e.g. building the wall, deportations, etc.

I expect that suddenly he will discover that NATO inequalities are on his radar. Trump brings up the issues first, including issues that no one else has talked about.

So Donald Trump followed up his threat regarding Heidi Cruz with a super-classy tweet attacking her appearance.

Cruz’s response once again demonstrated that he’s the only adult in the room here.

Assuming, arguendo, that there’s ANY truth to the salacious bullshit of the “Enquirer”…

that would simply put Cruz on a par with the whore-dog T-rump, who IS a serial adulterer, and has bragged in one of “his” books about bedding “great women”. Or was is “really great, fabulous, the best, women”. I can’t keep up with his word-salads…

T-rump just bribed the police to suppress the story, like he did when he was caught beating his children.

(See what you can do when you make up salacious bullshit, like you do here?)

There is nothing made up about the police report that says Heidi was picked up from busy expressway and taken into custody for being a danger to herself and the public.

In my opinion it is the Heidi was suicidal and crazy after 2 sips from a single margarita that is the made up part. Made up to cover the real story, which likely is Ted raging threw her out of car and drove off.

Your insinuation that Ted Cruz’s daughter doesn’t like him just because she had a tantrum and didn’t want him to touch her is extremely distasteful. What child hasn’t done that in his or her lifetime?

I have found many of your comments to be objectionable and frankly don’t understand why you don’t just go over to Breitbart to make your comments, where ones like yours are a dime a dozen?

Gary does pretty well at connecting the dots. If you have a problem with it why don’t you go to Breitbart? Much more realistic with him around.

Why shouldn’t Cruz be required to answer for Liz Mair’s PAC attack on Trump’s wife? Seems like Trump is held accountable for ever lunatic thing his supporters do so turn about is fair play even if it is low.
IMO Cruz has become willing to do/say almost anything in order to get elected while criticizing Trump for doing the same – hypocrite.

Trump Revolution Could Be More Incredible Than Reagan Revolution

By Town Hall

Trump is going to give free-thinking conservatives the run of the table.

No more mainstream leftist censorship from social media.

No more political correctness for the sake of social engineering.

Just freedom.

This could be more incredible than the Reagan Revolution.

Imagine.

No more libeling of America.

God and patriotism back in schools.

Trump will reset the Obama presidency and its malefactors. Trump will transform the party to that of a coalition of blue-collar conservative workers and evangelicals Christians who want the US to halt the war on Christianity.

A Trump presidency would be Culture War Ground Zero. With the disgraceful riots of Chicago a couple of weeks ago, Trump has emerged as the consensus leader against the Left.

Many don’t get it.

They don’t get it that Trump is there to give them a leg up rather than be screwed over constantly by those who look down at them.

The Republican Establishment of today is the same as the Rockefeller crowd of the 70s.

As Brussels amply showed yesterday, the West is staring into the barrel here.

The Republicans in this millennium have only won the popular vote once. And that was by less than one percent. If they had a coalition of white conservatives voting for their own interests, they would win in landslides.

Like Reagan.

Reagan Democrats win landslides. Imagine making them a permanent fixture of the Republican voting base. The Democrats haven’t changed one person’s mind -they changed the electorate instead.

As I have traveled throughout America, so many have told me: “Trump is our man”. He’s the guy, they say, that has come to save the world from the path of self-destruction by the vices of our own virtues.

America needs to pull one for mankind, and seal this one for Trump. For those who can’t see it yet, the Trump revolution will sweep them away

Glenn Beck Says: God Killed Justice Scalia To Make America Vote For Ted Cruz…
Posted on February 17, 2016 by sundance

Radio and Media personality Glenn Beck has been campaigning heavily in support of Senator Ted Cruz for president. Previously, Beck stated Ted Cruz’s birth was driven by divinity comparable to the birth of Christ; that’s creepy. Beck increased the creepy quotient last week when he proclaimed Senator Cruz as the guiding hand, the resurrection, to take us through the rapture.

However, the latest Glenn Beck point of advocacy takes the creepy factor even higher than previous divine proclamations, if that’s possible:

(Via Daily Caller) […] On Tuesday, conservative radio host and vocal Cruz backer Glenn Beck asserted on his talk show that God brought about the death of Scalia so America would “wake up” and vote for Cruz.

http://theconservativetreehouse.com/2016/02/17/glenn-beck-says-god-killed-justice-scalia-to-make-america-vote-for-ted-cruz/

Isn’t it interesting, Gary, that ‘anti-establishment supporters’ (like Rags & Amy) of Cruz suddenly become oblivious to the new partnership between Cruz and the Establishment.

That’s right, Establishment Cruz loves Jeb, Romney, Lindsey Gram, Mitt McConnell and all the Establishment $$$ that comes with selling out voters.

Oh well… just that many more voters for Trump… ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Cruz has ALWAYS been a Bush neocon Mr. Establishment. That was never in question. They didn’t like not because he isn’t Establishment GOPe. They didn’t like him because he is such a slimy scumbag.

The GOP is just using Lyin’ Ted as a stalking horse. Ted has this fantasy that they will nominate him at the convention and he will prevail. The primaries shift to the northeast which means he cannot win at the ballot box. Ironically it looks like his candidacy will essentially end in NY. Those New York Values!

Trump supporters, this was predictable and you own it. Sean Hannity, you own this. Sarah Palin, you own this. Chris Christie, Rick Scott, Newt Gingrich, Scott Brown . . . you own it.

This got started when one of those super-PACs, in this case not even one that supports Cruz but just one that opposes Trump, put out a picture of Melania Trump naked. Dana blogged about that here. Cruz had nothing to do with it. How do we know that? When even a straight Trump sycophant like Sean Hannity admits it, you know it’s true:

There is no excuse for what Trump is doing.

But of course, it will make many Trump supporters even more proud of the guy. Because supporters like that are sick, twisted, dark people. And there are a lot of them.

Well, I can’t tell Patterico anything of the kind, since the ad about Mrs. T-rump III just told the truth.

I do think it in poor taste, but I also consider is night and day different than the T-rump buddy’s slime pig attack on Cruz.

      Don’t you…???

Somebody from Ted Cruz’s office signed up for an Ashley Madison account. http://www.rollcall.com/heard-on-the-hill/team-cruz-capitol-police-pop-up-in-ashley-madison-data-dump/

Ted should be asked about this in light of the Enquirer cheating story.

In other news, Amanda Carpenter has gone silent.
