January 7 is the one-year anniversary of the attack on the Charlie Hebdo offices in Paris and, two days later, the Hyper Cacher kosher supermarket.
The cover for the anniversary issue of Charlie Hebdo has been released. The Guardian reports:
French satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo will mark a year since an attack on its offices with a cover featuring a bearded man representing God with a Kalashnikov slung over his shoulder, accompanied by the text: “One year on: the assassin is still out there.”
One million copies of the special edition will be available on newsstands on Wednesday, with tens of thousands more to be sent overseas.
It will mark a year since brothers Chérif and Saïd Kouachi burst into Charlie Hebdo’s offices in eastern Paris and killed 12 people, including eight of the magazine’s staff.
The attack on 7 January 2015, claimed by al-Qaida’s branch in the Arabian Peninsula, came after a 2011 firebombing of its offices that forced it to move premises. Its staff had also been under police protection since it published cartoons of the prophet Muhammad in 2006.
Included in the special edition will be a collection of cartoons by the five Charlie Hebdo artists killed in the 2015 attack as well as several external contributors.

I do not know the answer to islamic maniacs. I am a proud American and think our Constitution is the guide for our nation but when confronted by these thoughtless monsters who is really brave enough to risk life and limb for a stupid job like Charlie Hebdo? Would you risk your family’s life to make a point against soulless killers who believe that killing in the name of allah is not only ok but an obligation? Muslims are changing the freedom of the West and we all appear to comply with sharia law to some degree or another. I believe with every fiber in my being that we need to declare war on all islamic radicalism and kill as many as we can. They are as relentless as an iceberg and will never stop or honor an agreement with any nation. BTW, I am not an uneducated idiot but refuse to capitalize any thing to do with this horrible religion.
The answer is to re-establish the militia so that most Americans are carrying concealed weapons and ready to dealt with Muslims and Democrats next time they attempt to slaughter us.
By the Militia Act of 1903 (which is still in effect), all able-bodied men between 17 and 45 not in the military are either in the organized militia (National Guard and such) or the reserve militia (EVERYBODY else!). Most men currently are already in the militia, whether they know it or not.

A generic “god” figure wearing some kind of Freemason-ish headgear? Even with all they’ve been subjected to by Muslims they’re still hung up on their anti-religious false-equivalency shtick. How many employees have been murdered by Jews or Christians? This is why I don’t feel any sympathy when Muslims slaughter French people (and Europeans in general), except for soldiers and police.

Uhhh, yeah, God was the killer, if it hadn’t been Islamist, it would have been Jews or Christians…sure thing, terrorism wins again.
What’s sick is that these satirists were disarmed despite being recently attacked by Muslims and had numerous death threats from Muslims.
Everybody is wrong about this (except me, of course)! It’s Father Time. He kills the old year every January. He has a gun instead of a scythe to illustrate all the violent murders of recent years, particularly last year. He can’t be stopped.
