Ferguson is not 1990′s Sarajevo; it’s a community that, until recently, was productive and relatively peaceful.

And now it isn’t. Tough luck.

It’s not an isolated soundstage for the media’s latest dystopian fever dream; it’s home.

Home can be changed. It’s not like we’re salmon, permanently attached to the same stream. People can and do move. How long do you think this woman was in Ferguson in the first place? Probably not that long. She moved there, she can move elsewhere.

WARNING TO RIOTERS, LOOTERS, and VANDALS: WE ARE ARMED. THOSE WHO APPROACH THIS BUSINESS WILL BE ASSUMED TO BE ATTEMPTING KILL OR TO DO GRIEVOUS BODILY HARM AND WILL BE SHOT BY THE OWNERS. THIS IS YOUR ONLY WARNING.

Stay on the roof overnight, and SHOOT anyone who approaches with a brick, baseball bat or Molotov cocktail. IF they survive, they WON’T go to the Cops, because then they will have to EXPLAIN what they were doing that got them shot in the first place. More likely though, they will simply see the sign and think “you know, the place down the street looks deserted, maybe I should go there instead and NOT risk getting shot.”

It looks at least as if SOME of the businesses are thinking the same way I have.

Take ANY money you’ve raised and any Insurance payout you can get, pack up your equipment and RUN. RUN as fast as you can to somewhere the populace isn’t made up of spoiled, welfare children who somehow think that something is “owed” to them, so they can act like thugs.

Because if it isn’t riots, it’s GOING to be OTHER “Strong Arm” robberies when people realize that you have a successful business, and therefore are likely to have cash.

Leave the burned-out husks of the building as a monument to the local’s stupidity. Let them complain and scream that they can no longer get basic essentials because “it’s too far away” and then, with as much snark as can be mustered tell them “well, then you shouldn’t have BURNED DOWN the local market.”

I have not seen any mention yet of armed business owners protecting their businesses this time around. Some of the rioters had firearms themselves and fired on the police ( with impunity ?!!! )

Being outside with a long arm while all of this is going on is only going to make one a target. This time, the bad guys have guns too.

When I first read about gunshots coming from the crowd, I knew things had gotten out of control. I am surprised an officer, reporter, or civilian has not been hit yet.

That fact seems to keep getting lost in the narrative.

Society? You? Me?

And why should I (as a member of society) pay anything towards it? I didn’t burn anything down. Look at the Bronx, look at LA, etc. ‘They’ burned those places down, ‘we’ rebuilt them, ‘they’ burned them down again, etc.

‘Rinse and repeat’? Really?

Every twenty or thirty years or so, ‘they’ have to go off and burn a place down. Always because one black guy got shot by one white cop. Then they want a public lynching, nothing less will do.

If they’re so concerned about ‘black lives matter too’, then where are they when on a typical weekend in Chicago, or New Orleans, or Detroit, etc, black people are killed by other black people? Every week, year in and year out.
