Pelosi chases House Republican for telling the truth about her speakership

When Democrats controlled the House, Senate and Presidency, they did nothing to solve the border crisis.

Pennsylvania Republican Tom Marino sent a panicked Nancy Pelosi running across the house floor last night after speaking the truth about the Democratic Party and our current border crisis.

John Parkinson of ABC News reported:

Pelosi Chases Republican Tom Marino Across House Chamber

In an unusual breach of decorum, even for the divided Congress, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi chased Rep. Tom Marino across the House floor, taking offense at comments by the Pennsylvania Republican during debate on the border funding bill Friday night.

“We don’t have law and order,” Marino began as he wrapped up his comments on the border supplemental. “My colleagues on the other side don’t want to do anything about it.”

“You know something that I find quite interesting about the other side? Under the leadership of the former Speaker [Pelosi], and under the leadership of their former leader [Rep. Steny Hoyer], when in 2009 and 2010, they had the House, the Senate and the White House, and they knew this problem existed,” he continued. “They didn’t have the strength to go after it back then. But now are trying to make a political issue out of it now.”

Off-mic, Pelosi then approached Marino, crossing the aisle in view of cameras, and apparently challenged Marino’s assertion that Democrats did not do anything about the issue when they had majority control.

“Yes it is true,” Marino replied directly to Pelosi, who was House speaker in those years. “I did the research on it. You might want to try it. You might want to try it, Madam Leader. Do the research on it. Do the research. I did it. That’s one thing that you don’t do.”

Marino then urged lawmakers to support the border supplemental “because apparently I hit the right nerve.”

After Marino concluded his remarks and as many Republicans applauded their colleague, Pelosi crossed the chamber again in view of cameras, enraged, pointing and sticking her finger at Marino.

She then followed Marino up a Republican aisle, gesturing and arguing with him. Lawmakers on the GOP side gathered in dismay as one spoke out to tell the chair that the House was not in order, in an effort to halt the bickering.

John Parkinson’s story has an entertaining update.

*UPDATE: According to Pelosi spokeswoman Evangeline George, “Leader Pelosi just wanted to remind the Congressman that House Democrats had the courage to pass the DREAM Act – and have the courage to stand up for what the American people want: bipartisan, comprehensive immigration reform.”

George added that “Pelosi accepted the Congressman’s apology.”

But Marino’s chief of staff, Bill Tighe, stressed that Marino did not apologize to Pelosi, and will not apologize.

“[Rep. Marino] did not apologize to Leader Pelosi and does not intend to do so as he has nothing to apologize for. She was entirely out of line in approaching him while he was recognized and delivering remarks on the Floor,” Tighe wrote in an email. “Her staff’s comment in your story about her accepting his apology in simply not true.”

I think back to that 111th Congress (2009-2010) and consider ourselves so lucky, relatively speaking of course. The amount of damage that the Democrats could have done via legislation was truly frightening. Yes, they ramrodded many things through, Obamacare among the worst, along with the financial sector restrictions. But just stop and consider. They had the three institutions for creating law, House, Senate, the President.

If I had to guess why the Democrats didn’t strike all of their hot-button issues while their iron was hot = their arrogance. They likely assumed that they would have this Congress and the 112th one, if not more, to fully saddle America with communism; that the aura of the One would dazzle compliant voters for years.

Now, it’s on to Executive Orders.

Recall that the 111th Congress tried to pass a “Carbon Tax” and fell short.

0bamaCare only passed using arm-twisting, bribery, threats, extortion (allegedly), pinkie-promises, kickbacks, voodoo curses, rules changes, Bill manipulation and celestial realignment.

When they are in power, the Democrats can’t afford to pass the things they accuse the Republicans of not passing. No one ever seems to ax [sic] Lefties why this is.

Poor old harpy moonbat. Nanny Pelosi has been crazy for years, like Grandpa Simpson Reid. But it is reaching the “needs restraints” level now for several of these codgers.

The Collective has (relatively) young crazy people. Let them step up, and give old Nanny a chance to go home and gum her mush in a safe environment.

And don’t forget the judicial, and other appointments, they’ve rammed through. The judiciary will be infected with leftist activist for more than a generation.

This is ruling class behavior.

I seriously think Nancy Pelosi is mentally ill. Really.

How long until she goes full-blown Norma Desmond on us?

Many of the Democrats are “acting out”. I think the polling is getting to them. Their assumptions about open borders, as well as the prep work they did to get the country here, is not working out according to plan. The plan to overrun the border has been in the works since at least 2010. The amnesty/open border advocates appear to have been talked into incrementalism on their issue back in 2009. As part of the Obama coalition several groups did, including blacks, with the assumption that a Democratic congress would continue to be seated giving carte blanche to the various groups who paid for and voted for Obama. But since they donated the least amount of money open border types got stuck at the back of the line. You get what you pay for with Obama and he is running out of time very quickly. They only get executive orders with no statutory law and a Republican Senate. They also get a very angry public which they are just realizing how difficult it will be to deal with. This was not the plan they envisioned or worked towards.

The senate is controlled by the ‘rats. The House is controlled by the ‘pubs.

As far as the Latino lobby getting short shrift, I think it’s just a matter of them being used to taking less as a people. The environazis and edunazis got the lion’s share of obamullah’s edicts and public largesse, and the baby killers did pretty well, too. But those groups have money and have been in the dialogue a long time. They have some power. They have ‘standing’ and ‘gravitas’. They sit at the top with the political elitists heading the ‘rat plantation. The ‘rats realized that after they finished their carpet-bagging and raping of the American people, they would need to expand their voting base. They are basically telling the blacks occupying the slave quarters on the ‘rat plantation to move over and share crumbs and beds with the Latinos they are desperately importing.

Hilarious. Right in character for the savage ‘rats. Now, if she could only have rallied Maxine Waters, Sheila Jackson-Lee and Rosa DeLauro to join her in the chase, it would have been SNL worthy (except SNL would never slam the ‘rats). They could get Phyllis Diller to play Pelosi, Ma Clampett to play DeLauro, Fred Sanford’s sister-in-law (Lawanda Page) to play Jackson-Lee, and Whoopi Goldberg to play Waters.

If America ever had a First Hysteric, it is Crazy Nancy Pelosi.

Pelosi demonstrated the typical ‘rat response to the truth being told – violence.
