Sen. Reid: Paul Ryan budget proposal a blueprint for ‘modern Kochtopia’

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has apparently fallen even deeper into the #Kochspiracy black hole.

From Politico:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid preemptively slammed the budget proposal Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) will release Tuesday, calling it a document written to pander to the Koch brothers and other billionaires.

“It’s a blueprint for a modern… how would we say this? Koch-topia. Yes, that’s it,” Reid said. “Call it whatever you want. We might as well call it the Koch budget because that’s what they’re doing, protecting the Koch brothers.”

Reid’s remarks mark the latest volley in Democrats’ mid-term election year strategy of attacking the Kochs repeatedly, hoping to fire up their liberal base and associate Republicans with the brothers in the minds of voters. And while a poll last week showed that most Americans don’t know who the Koch brothers are, 45 percent of self-identified liberals said they have a negative opinion of them.

Reid dared conservative outside groups to “fire away” at him for his fiery election-year attacks on the billionaire Koch brothers.

(Here’s the House Budget Committee’s budget blueprint)

Reid’s rant didn’t end there, however. He (or his staff) took to Twitter to say much the same.

That tweet was preceded by this:

And followed by this:

Twitchy had some of the social media reactions and responses to the Koch obsessed Senate Majority Leader.

Not seeing any tweets so far today from Reid on his thoughts about Democratic donors.

Where is your budget, Mr. Majority Leader?

In a same world Harry Reid would be in a nursing home bellowing at the staff and flashing the ladies. Instead he’s the leader of the Senate. It’s an Obama-world.

The poor, old, corrupt, demented “Grandpa Simpson” of the Senate.

More a target of pity than anything else.

I find it difficult to extend pity to one so corrupt and whether by design or ineptness is screwing up the country in which I live.

      I take your point. Fully.

But I would not care to trade my accounting in the Great Beyond for Dirty, Filthy Harry’s.

      Grim.

It always amazes me how many different problems Dems see with our plans. But when it comes to theirs, nothing is wrong.

But ours work and theirs dont…a little backwards

Did he say fire away? Well, if you insist Mr. Majority Leader.

Fiscal responsibility is not equivalent to deprivation. If Reid had any integrity, he would be complaining about government intrusion, which has undermined productivity gains, ensuring that everything from health care to education are unaffordable.

I’m somewhat confused. Is Senator Reid suggesting that the Koch’s deliberately attempt to crash currencies, a’la Soros, dropping countries into despair? Or maybe he’s confusing the Koch’s with the French Revolution Era Aristocrats, that have since sided with Soros? Or, maybe the Senator is still claiming that the Republicans are the ‘party of the rich’ in spite of the mounting evidence to the contrary. Or, maybe the good Senator has just lost his mind, forgotten his senility meds, and can’t quite find the hole in which he left his head. (hint… look behind and down…)

Harry believes that every ‘problem’ he sees can be fixed by more government control and more tax money. We who are being controlled and taxed disagree.

Better a modern “Kochtopia” then a cadaverous Reiddystopia.

Anyone who made themselves aware of what the Koch brothers believe…and more importantly what they DO…would find living in a Kochitopia not at all a bad thing.

There are literally millions of people who enjoy a higher standard of living because of Koch works.

How exactly did Harry Reid become a millionaire on a government paycheck?

Watching Reid reminds that I always wanted to know what happened to the kid who used to lick the windows on the school bus. Now I know.

I’ll have to consider all of this on my work in “critical a-hole studies”

All Reid is doing is serving notice to would-be medium/large GOP donors leading up to the midterms that if you give well to the GOP you’ll pay the price of being constantly smeared in the media. The Kochs have so much money they’re immune, but plenty of corporations and orgs might shy away from the threat of bad press, depending on their market and manner of income.

It’s political intimidation, with the lib media holding the bullhorn for Reid.

“Fire away”?

Take note, People of the State of Nevada. You hold the key to this guy’s pink slip.

Fire him.

Having overheard a colleague tell another co-worker that President Bush(SW)was,”a tool of the Koch brothers”, I asked her where I could get the information she had on that subject.

The silence was worth the interruption.
