Zimmerman girlfriend shopping interview for money prior to 911 call

Zimmerman girlfriend shopping interview for money prior to 911 call

“They were looking for payment”

This is interesting.

George Zimmerman’s girlfriend, Samantha Scheibe, who called 911 accusing Zimmerman of pointing a gun at her, has been shopping around for a national media interview for weeks, but none of the national media would pay her the money she was seeking.

Via The Last Refuge, which is suggesting this may be a set up, George Zimmerman’s girlfriend speaks to Local 6:

When the 911 call and subsequent arrest first broke, I cautioned:

There is a long history of accusations against Zimmerman not holding up ….

Indeed.

In what is going to be a she said, he said case, financial incentive is going to play a big role.

SHHWOOOSH!!!!! That’s the sound of yet another “Get George” case circling the drain. The next sound you hear will be a very pissed off prosecutor hollering, “AW SHIT!” to everybody within 1,000 yards of earshot.

I was fully in support of acquittal, but I’m off the guy at this point. He and his gal pals deserve each other. Too much about him that is screwy. He better sit straight and fly right because the next jury will fry him.

You do realize that the news reports have been wrong about him, over and over?

Yet, you credit what has been unethical conduct in the past and may be slander at present?

thorleywinston in reply to Valerie. | November 20, 2013 at 12:59 pm

I’m with rotate on this one. I also supported his acquittal because the facts showed that it was a case of self-defense. Beyond that though, I have no sympathy for this fellow and just wish he’d go away.

Phillep Harding in reply to thorleywinston. | November 20, 2013 at 4:02 pm

Tell the news media to stop covering him. It’s not like he is taking out full page ads, or anything like that.

I also believe he is being set up – HOWEVER:

He’s choosing to shack up with some hot chick who is mentally unstable, manipulative, and mercenary.

It’s like when I feel bad for a DV victim – the FIRST time – but she keeps choosing loser boyfriends who slap her around. Sure, she doesn’t deserve it, per se, but she keeps picking “winners”.

Same goes for George Z – pick some nice gal, or even go celebate / monk for a year or so.

His wife falsely accused him. I don’t see describing her as some flaky tart.

          Now this girl.

Pretty thin line of flaky girls. His wife and now this girl.

He should be more cautious, but again, marriage didn’t work for him, which should have, and now this.

And as the other writer noted, it’s the press pushing him in our faces.

Phillep Harding in reply to rotate. | November 20, 2013 at 12:55 pm

GZ is badly outnumbered by those out to get him, and they belong to several groups. Right or wrong, it’s time for GZ to hunker in the bunker.

About 1/2 of the country, including the media, is out to ruin GZ’s life. BUT at this point GZ looks more and more like s****magnet. I realize he’s under a lot of stress, but how did he get involved with that woman in a first place? His x wife is sketchy too. Then there was the TM affair. Some of it is just bad luck, but the man needs to take time to examine what is it that he does that continuously puts him in bad situations.

does the name Christi O’Connor ring a bell?

It is not George who is in the wrong necessarily. There is something that does not add up.

Nomennovum in reply to rotate. | November 20, 2013 at 10:05 pm

Women lie when it suits their interest. Women are vindictive. They create stories to justify destroying their marriages, depriving their children of a father, and exacting retribution. She likely hates George’s new girl friend and is jealous. I know this because I’ve seen it happen again and again. It has happened to me.

George is being set up, and credulous people, including conservatives, choose to lend credence to a likely fraud.

Unfortunately, for you, there is that little troublesome matter of the law, of rules of evidence, of testifying under oath.

2nd Ammendment Mother | November 20, 2013 at 10:55 am

The 911 call did seem a bit odd, but then again, I’ve come to believe there’s all kinds of crazy out there.

Obama and Holder, civil rights activists, and journalists set a bounty for his capture. Whether they withdrew their offer is inconsequential. The damage has already been done.

From yesterday…

Zimmerman is STOOOOOoooooopid for getting involved with ANYbody at this point in his life.

And this lil’ honey is fifty kinds of sick poison, apparently drawn to Zimmerman.

Run away, George. Run. Away.

And STAY away from women for a YEAR after your divorce is FINAL…not filed. FINAL.

You have some discovery/healing to do.
————————–
I counsel all my divorce clients to NOT succumb to the drive to date…especially DURING their divorce.

Zimmerman is likely a seething pot of problems just now, and EXTREMELY vulnerable to another seething pot of problems.

Especially one in that kind of wrapping.

When I saw her picture, my first thought was “what is a woman that looks like that (moderately good looking) doing with someone that looks like Zimmerman (decidedly not), especially since he must be fairly isolated in order to avoid being drive-by’d or drone striked. The answer I came up with was not generous to the young lady. I expect that the imbalance will make her case less credible.

DriveBy in reply to Immolate. | November 20, 2013 at 12:30 pm

I thought only the left liked to blame the victim. Here:

      “THE RELATIONSHIP

Samantha Scheibe’s mother says her daughter did not hunt down George Zimmerman to create a relationship with the man found not guilty in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

Scheibe said she first met Zimmerman more than 12 years ago when she was in her late teens — before Zimmerman was married to Shellie. Scheibe says they dated for a short time.

Even though their relationship didn’t work out at that time, Scheibe says she was a constant friend to George — and to Shellie — throughout their marriage.

When the relationship between George and Shellie started to sour, Scheibe says she stepped in to “be there” for George as a friend, and it was during that time a romance began to kindle.”

“I thought only the left liked to blame the victim.”

Problem there is FIRST you have to identify the “victim”.

In this kind of conflict, you can readily have VICTIMS all around.

You are already labeling Zimmerman a “creep” and “maniac”.

Sane people reserve judgments. Which excludes you, cousin.

A proven liar citing two likely liars. Go figure.

Well, if her mother said it, it must be true. Case closed. Notify the firing squad.

That was spot on… and I’ll up you the ‘wrapping” that there is a 40-60% chance she’s bipolar and 99% chance she’s a trouble magnet.

St George is no saint, he’s an average human. Please just go have a quiet life.

I’ve been saying for a long time already that he must leave the country and start his life somewhere else if he wants to be at peace. His life, as he knows it, is OVER.

He’s already in mountains of debt, and there is even the suspicion that he has had PTSD for a while. Even his family knows he has changed since then. He should know by now that any woman who gets near him or any “friend” he makes is a traitor waiting to happen.

I think he should move to Russia and ask for asylum there.

Texas is wide open to Zimmerman.

He could get a job in the oilfield here in a heart-beat, and he looks like a quarter of the population.

Really..? But I was told that Texan ladies were pretty…

“Texas is wide open to Zimmerman… he looks like a quarter of the population.”

You mean that he looks Mexican? Racist much? LOL!!!

Zimmerman really just looks [is] fat, arrogant, dangerous, and stupid; probably much the same as you.

BTW. Zimmerman looked really comfortable in the courtroom yesterday, standing before the judge in his prison garb and handcuffs. Oh well, if Zimmerman cannot be a real cop, a real attorney, a real prosecutor, or a real judge, he can still play the game as a real DEFENDANT! Have fun George…

Sanddog in reply to DriveBy. | November 20, 2013 at 1:09 pm

Why is pointing out that Zimmerman, as a hispanic, would fit right in if he moved to Texas? I was thinking after the trial that his best move would be to move to Texas or New Mexico, obviously avoiding areas like Austin or Santa Fe.

Exactly, Rags. I’m sure you’ve had witnesses like this – you just know that all you have to do is keep them talking and they will lose it and show their true colors.

Phillep Harding in reply to DriveBy. | November 20, 2013 at 4:05 pm

Yeah, I noticed how CNN did a close up of the cuffs. A totally unnecessary close up.

Professor, the news report laid out that the lady and her mother were with George, supporting him by providing food, shelter, and comfort to him at the time that they were looking to get compensation for an interview that would include George. How do you know that George was not in on the discussions and driving the price to a ridiculous level? They were apparently trying to leverage Zimmerman’s dubious celebrity to get money, money that would be shared with George. Yes or no?

And what does any of this have to do with Zimmerman pointing a Kel Tec Shotgun, not your father’s shotgun BTW, at the woman who was providing for him? http://www.keltecweapons.com/news/preview-kel-tec-shotgun-ksg/

Lastly, Zimmerman barricading the door to hide from responding officers is telling and truly bizarre! He is highly likely a risk to both himself and certainly to others.

I thought you started pretty good yesterday, before veering off into the same error you were bashing others for…

“Does it not occur to people to harmonize statements someone makes? This female turncoat CLAIMS he pointed a shotgun at her WHILE SHE WAS ON THE PHONE TO 911. Yet she was alive and well when police showed up AND the firearms were under lock and key. Yet now she fears for her life and her fear is REASONABLE? If her fear was reality based, she wouldn’t be talking – she’d be getting embalmed.

GZ is being framed – again.”

Just in a different direct. This is something NOBODY has the what’s-what about yet.

        As before…

Also, “circling the drain” is a perfect description of the Get Shorty clusterf*** currently named MainStreamMedia news. I wish they would all go down the drain along with their effluent.

MouseTheLuckyDog | November 20, 2013 at 12:24 pm

What is the procedure for these types of cases in Florida. Is there an arraignment? Does yesterdays proceeding count as that? What about a preliminary hearing?

Given the extemporaneous allegations yesterday of choking, I should think Zimmerman ( OK the defense) gets some chance to reply.

Henry Hawkins in reply to MouseTheLuckyDog. | November 20, 2013 at 1:01 pm

Well, first they check with the local Democrat apparatus and get their talking points and agenda considerations, then they declare the defendant guilty, and then they work backwards from there.

She is also pregnant with Zimmerman’s child. I was afraid this girl was looking for her 15 minutes of fame at the expense of Zimmerman when this story broke out. Regardless, GZ should have realized how vulnerable he was to this sort of thing after his acquital and avoided female’s for a couple years while he went about rebuilding his life, preferable outside of Florida. But no, he doubled down on stupid by getting this girl pregnant.
Sorry George you deserve nothing but contempt from fellow bro’s.

did you read any of the info?
    specifically this

[…] Zimmerman told the dispatcher that he believed Scheibe was pregnant with their child. Seminole County Sheriff’s officials say Scheibe is not pregnant.

richardb in reply to dmacleo. | November 20, 2013 at 1:22 pm

Yeah its hard with all the drama to keep facts straight as they change minute by minute. As I said though, when the story was she was pregnant, he doubled down on stupid. Take the pregnancy away and he’s still behaving stupidly.

platypus in reply to richardb. | November 20, 2013 at 2:10 pm

Serious query — should his attorney (MOM) have counseled him to avoid such situations, given that most people are not familiar with the things attorneys routinely see?

she told Zimmerman she was pregnant. She told the police she was not pregnant. How can anyone believe this person.

Has there been any documentation (e.g. text, email) that she conveyed this? Without that, there’s no way to know if he’s telling the truth.

‘Overnight sensation’ is an cliche in ‘Hollywood’, itself a cliche. Typically, entertainment acts that become nationally famous seemingly overnight have actually been working at it for years, decades even, long notorious within the industry but now finally becoming known to the general public. My point being they’ve had some experience of fame and celebrity, as well as of its downfalls and traps.

GZ got nationally famous an entirely different way, of course, and was (self)sequestered from the public for the entirety of the trial process. He stepped out of the courtroom an innocent man with no experience in handling celebrity, let alone the oceans of irrational hatred.

To his credit, we have not seen GZ making the talk show circuits, writing memoirs, or otherwise selling his story. He needs to understand there are vicious people who will do what it takes to become part of the GZ story just to be able to sell it themselves.

BTW, GZ stuck a gun in my face at a party in 1976, I think because he thought I was a White Anglo Caucasian. I’m available for press interviews. Please call my agent Pierre Rags, Esquire, at 1-800-RAT-INGS.

My feeling remains the same, there was never enough to support his arrest to being with, and the way things are going there’s not even enough for a trial. The whole thing is a shame, but at least he won’t have to stack up legal bills on this one.

Uncle Samuel in reply to imfine. | November 20, 2013 at 3:13 pm

The fact that there was not enough evidence to arrest George Z in the Samantha S. incident does not seem to be a problem in Florida.

The St. Trayvon of Miami fiasco proved that.

ADVICE TO ZIMMERMAN: Get the hell out of Florida! LEAVE! We’re tired hearing about you.

I know nothing about what actually happened in this incident. That makes me completely qualified to report and/or comment on this incident for any main stream media outlet or any blogs.

Call me*.

*Disclaimer: I do not have styled blow dried hair (actually I don’t have much hair at all) but I am still completely qualified to talk about things of which I know nothing.

I knew a fellow in college first year. Scholarship engineering student at UVA, he carried a 4.0 but dealt pot and sometimes LSD on the side. He wasn’t bad looking, but a laid back and shy fellow who wasn’t a lady killer.

Suddenly this hot young blonde shows up at his side. We’d go to concerts on campus, we were all in standard hippy dude attire, she in gold llame halter and hot pants. Her husband would drop her off at his dorm – he met them dealing LSD to him.

Turned out she was an undercover narc, busted him and he went to prison. We all knew something wasn’t right but none of us suspected that.

Whenever a hot young blonde shows a lot of interest in you and you aren’t used to hot young blondes doing that, it’s time to think with the big brain and make sense of it.
