What’s so bad about how Vlad impaled us at The Times?

What’s so bad about how Vlad impaled us at The Times?

Did Putin say anything we haven’t been hearing from the left for decades?

I was fortunate to have been mostly off the grid today and thereby missed the rage and fury about Vladimir Putin’s Op-Ed in The NY Times pissing all over the concept of American Exceptionalism:

It is extremely dangerous to encourage people to see themselves as exceptional, whatever the motivation. There are big countries and small countries, rich and poor, those with long democratic traditions and those still finding their way to democracy. Their policies differ, too. We are all different, but when we ask for the Lord’s blessings, we must not forget that God created us equal.

I understand the hurt feelings. He’s doing a Cossack-style victory dance in our end zone.

If it were the NFL, he’d be penalized. But this isn’t the NFL. And our team got the diplomatic stuffing beat out of them.

We have Drew Bledsoe, Danny White and Tony Romo rolled into one quarterback running our team. (No offense intended to Drew Bledsoe, Danny White and Tony Romo, I just needed some names.)

We have a guy who talks a good game, but fumbles the international Futbol when it counts. Our quarterback can only roll left, and Vlad forced him to roll right, where he’s most awkward.

Cheers, Vlad, you won fair and square, we’re just acting like sore losers because you were better at playing the game, and our QB has three more years left on his contract and a provision that requires we play him, so we’re in for a world of hurt going forward.

You’re not going to see me calling for the refs to penalize Vlad for “excessive celebration” in the end zone — anyway, there are no refs, this is a game without rules. (As the light bulbs go on in The White House and Foggy Bottom … “now you tell us, no rules?”).

Anyway, what’s so bad about how Vlad impaled us at The Times?

Did he say anything we haven’t been hearing from the intellectually-consistent left, as small as it might now be, for decades?

Quick, who wrote this?

The fact remains that declaring yourself special, superior and/or exceptional — and believing that to be true, and, especially, acting on that belief — has serious consequences. It can (and usually does) mean that the same standards of judgment aren’t applied to your acts as are applied to everyone else’s (when you do X, it’s justified, but when they do, it isn’t).

Oh wait, that wasn’t Vlad.

That was the guy whose best bud is sitting pretty in a Dacha in or near Moskva peeling away our cyber-defenses like the layers in a Matrushka doll all in the name of our “privacy,” until the innermost figure will be revealed to be… Vlad with a great big smile on his face, doing another Cossack victory dance.

No wonder Vlad is all smiles. He knows how to play the game.

Oh my, how wonderful to watch the proggies piss all over themselves as they watch Putin rub Barry’s nose in it, just as if he were a bad little puppy who just shit on the living room rug. Or perhaps the movie The Shawshank Redemption brings to mind a better analogy.

Sad thing is that Vlad knows how to play Obama like a fiddler on the roof too.

Most Americans are pretty darn glad for Vlad!

The “studs” in our military can’t create another war zone for the USA! Plus, we shouldn’t have killed Gaddafi in Libya!

Is the Mideast a mess? Yes. And, it ain’t gonna be cured by an outbreak of democracy! If anything, we’ve just created more people around this globe who hate us!

If Vlad is looking for friends in the Mideast, good luck to the Russians! (Or did they forget the lessons they learned in Afghanistan in the 1980’s?)

And, if you want some republican clowns, you should notice how stupid McCain is. And, his cohort, Lindsey Graham.

The problems we have won’t be solved by name calling people you don’t know. And, it’s already proven to be a good way to lose an election.

Vlad pulled an Alinsky … make (the leftist) Obama live up to his own (anti-American) standards.

Obama is a soft version of Putin, in many ways.

Obama essentially said we are NOT exceptional.

Obama wants much less US intervention in the world.

Obama wants to start a US civil war, with weapons of mass divisiveness.

Obama has communists in his administration like Vlad.

Obama lies to his country, and the media helps distribute propaganda.

heh

Obama Supporters Sign “Karl Marx for President” Petition

In the following video, Mark Dice, tells passers-by that Obama endorses Karl Marx for president in the 2016 election. People willingly sign a petition to get Karl Marx on the ballot.

    oh, and most importantly

Obama uses the power of the state to reward his friends and punish his enemies.

e.g. Lois Lerner … “if you promise to never run for office, I’ll drop this case”

political donors attacked, Boeing, Gibson Guitar,

Holder attacks a guy like Zimmerman to push a political campaign, leaves Black Panthers alone

Obama leaves men left behind in Benghazi, orders CIA to alter talking points, then blames CIA, fabricates lies, uses Ambassador Rice.

Bundlers (big donors) make tens of millions on bankrupting solar companies, or other green crap.

GM bond holders scolded by O’ for being greedy, money turned over to union bosses.

    EPA selectively harasses, etc.

Putin is far more ruthless and cunning than Obama. He’s got decades of real world experience gained while Obama was still smoking pot and pretending he was making a difference. Obama just doesn’t have what it takes to go up against a Putin.

It is very Rasputin like. Shades of how he returned to Leningrad & circled Sobchak the perestroika Mayor into becoming right hand man . Then he manoeuvred on the back of Sobchak’s fandom to enter Yeltsin’s periphery .

Then he studied & outflanked the Oligarchs to get to be Yeltsin’s hand picked successor & then he is President & the Oligarchs either play his tune or be exiled to Chelsea. Last year his main Oligarch nemesis begged for forgiveness & right of return but suicided a broken man.

In all of this he repaid Russia’s foreign debts 100% .

Russia does not hold many cards but they have a superior player. Machiavelli would be impressed.

I’m impressed!!!

Go to H Vlad. Even if you give me a good chuckle.

FYI – “Obama is not about keeping America safe or pursuing a smart foreign policy. He is all about looking good at home. Hence the rush to leak to the newspapers the fact that the United States is now providing arms to rebels in Syria. Yep. We are admitting that we are committing an act of war. An act that entitles Syria to retaliate and defend itself against our lawless aggression:

The CIA has begun delivering weapons to rebels in Syria, ending months of delay in lethal aid that had been promised by the Obama administration, according to U.S. officials and Syrian figures.

It would seem that Assad is not nearly the easy target that Gaddafi was. Fortunately, for Assad, Syria has strategic value to competing interests of Arabs, Europeans, and Americans, whereas there was less interest and incentive to intervene on behalf of Libyans, and the Egyptians managed to independently reclaim their nation.

Does this progression sound vaguely familiar?

Kerry rejects Assad’s 30-day timetable

Kerry, our chief diplomat, ironically rejects a diplomatic resolution.

Advantage: Putin. Advantage: Assad.

In any case, the Obama-made disaster in Libya is no longer their only concern. A preponderance of lies has destroyed their credibility. A fervent desire to act on the presumption of guilt has destroyed their moral advantage. I guess we really did have to elect and appoint them in order to know their true character.

Professor, Our commander in chief resembles ‘quarterback’ Garo Yepremian much more than Drew Bledsoe, Danny White and Tony Romo.

I don’t care what anyone thinks: Putin is not anti-gay or against homosexuality. If he truly was he wouldn’t have screwed Obama six-ways to Sunday. Or Kerry, either!

Having read Disinformation I am not surprised by the Putin Op-Ed letter; fact is, Americans ARE exceptional, and no amount of Russian half-truths will eventually make it so.

Yesterday, up at REDDIT, they showed a lesson on how to MOONWALK.

By the way, Russia is 5 time zones across. But only holds half the population of the USA. 145 million people.

If you want to read some interesting books, go to Amazon, and look up CHALMERS JOHNSON. He talks about the (awful) CIA. And, “blow back.”

I don’t know what it means that lawyers aren’t in the forefront, complaining about how out government’s messed up our Bill of Rights. And, our US Constitution. But it’s a shame. And, it’s been in the making since 1945. When I think “unintentionally” America went about become an EMPIRE around the world. And, wherever we have troops they hate us.

Exactly what does a Constitutional lawyer teach these days? Yes, Glenn Greenwald has a law degree from NYU. 1994. And, he did practice Constitutional Law.

Anybody else out there?

Ah, so is this what Obama really meant when he said he would radically transform the USA?

Funny REDDIT headline:
“I hope Putin has taken adequate protections. Now that he is a Russian journalist his life may be in grave danger!” – Garry Kasparov (thedailybeast.com)

We give Putin far too much credit. He’s up against Barack Obama and John Kerry, fer crissakes.

Btw… LOVIN’ THE ZAPPA, BOSS.

This seems like it’s nothing but a game-

Hey, Look–it’s Vlad the squirrel

Shame on all of you.

Including, maybe most of all, the Professor.

Perhaps we shouldn’t so blatantly confuse Vladimir Putin of Russia with Vlad Tepes, the Impaler of southern Romania. It’ll confuse our earnest school-kiddies no end (that is, the tiny minority who actually study history), and damage their self-esteem.

Vlad Tepes impaled colonizing Muslims, and Mr. Putin has impaled a couple of leftist pretend-Christians, whose ego and self-esteem shall now suffer even worse than the above school-kiddies.

This is all a manifestation of the “flexibility” he promised Putin.

No hyperbole: Obama is a traitor.

Well, NYT Moscow correspondent Walter Duranty (“greatest liar of any journalist I have met in 50 years of journalism.” quoting Malcolm Muggeridge) is dead and Pravda on the Hudson has been on the lookout for someone to replace him.

The irony is that what Obama really believes is “Obama exceptionalism” because he’s been treated that way all his life. If we understand that, then we can see that Putin’s remarks about the dangers of telling people they are exceptional are spot on. Exhibit A is Obama himself.

Let’s be honest.

If the US Presidential election was held tomorrow and it was Putin as an independent against Obama the Democrat, the independent would win easily — absent massive voting fraud on the part of the Democrat.

That is the one area where Obama would show his exceptionalism and experience over Putin. Putin only thinks he knows how to steal an election– he hasn’t had to face our Chicago-Washington axis of evil on election day.

And the NY Times wouldn’t allow him an op-ed on that one.

Vlad’s get well greetings to Bush suggest that Vlad has no respect for Obama or for Obama’s Foreign (& Economic) Policy of Clear & Present Uncertainty

I read Putin’s column in the New York Times, and was very amused to see the indignant reaction on NBC later in the day. Who are they kidding? The PR firm he hired echoed Obama and his minions, and it was pitch-perfect. I mentioned this to my son, age 16, who is in high school ROTC, and he replied “What I don’t get is why we are shipping arms to the people we are going to be fighting in 5 years.”
