The zero-tolerance war on kindergarteners

The zero-tolerance war on kindergarteners

Even talking about Bubble and Nerf guns gets punished.

We’ve previously covered the gun-shaped breakfast pastry, a pencil pointed like a gun, and a Quarter-size Lego piece.  Hot Air also has the story of the 5-year old who brought a cap gun to school.

The zero-tolerance war on young children who innocently bring something that looks like a gun to school is pathological bordering on mental abuse.

Here are four more recent examples, including instances where the young child merely talked about things such as a Nerf or Bubble gun.

1. 6-year old suspended for bringing clear plastic toy gun to show and tell.

2. 5 year-old suspended for making Lego Gun

3. 5-year old talks — yes talks — about Bubble Gun

Pennsylvania girl, 5, suspended for talk of ‘shooting’ a Hello Kitty ‘bubble gun’:

A 5-year-old girl chats up classmates while waiting for the bus after school. The topic: Playing with a Hello Kitty “bubble gun” that, with the flick of a finger, blows bubbles everywhere.

“I’ll shoot you, you shoot me, and we’ll all play together,” the kindergartner says.

The next day, that remark — which was made innocently, according to the lawyer for the girl’s family, who related the story — landed the young central Pennsylvanian child in the principal’s office.

Soon after, she was sent home after being issued a 10-day suspension for a “terroristic threat,” as indicated on the suspension form signed by Mount Carmel Area Elementary School Principal Susan Nestico. That and other documents were provided to CNN by Robin Ficker, the lawyer representing the girl and her mother.

4. First Grader talks — yes talks — about Nerf Guns

Pasco School District overturns 6-year-old’s suspension for discussing toy gun

The Pasco School District has overturned the suspension of a 6-year-old boy who talked about his toy guns at school.Mike Aguirre’s son Noah, a first-grader at James McGee Elementary School, was sent home Feb. 28 after another student told their teacher that Noah had a gun with him.

Noah had no gun, toy or otherwise, but Aguirre said his son still was punished for talking with other students about the Nerf guns the family recently bought during a trip to Lincoln City, Ore.

Aguirre said he and his wife were told their son was suspended for talking about guns at school, and because the girl who reported him felt her “health and safety were threatened” when they were called to the school last week. Officials said the issue is addressed in the district’s discipline handbook in the section on student rights and responsibilities.

But Aguirre said there’s no provision that students are prohibited from talking about guns at school, nor did the district provide evidence that the boy threatened to harm a student.

Update: And then there’s this from last year (h/t reader):

To think that some high school students would go hunting in the morning before school, then stash their rifle in their locker.

So profoundly stupid that it’s causing me a headache.

I sincerely hope that when parents encounter this kind of warped, through the looking glass, cower in the corner until your assassin finds you mentality that they take it as proof that their school district is incapable of properly educating their child or providing for their safety.

This is nothing more than the flaccid logic of liberalism at work.

Walk, no, run away from these people as fast as you can.

Homeschooling is the answer.

    Home schooling is AN answer.

Part of the mix of answers, all aimed at breaking the government monopoly in K-12 education.

That…and burning down the current Federal tax code…should be two of our highest priorities. Immigration reform, too.

Their intent is to wipe out every ounce of the America spirit that may rise to defend itself. If it can cow our little boys into becoming little girly-men, they will be much more likely to embrace progressive ideas and vote for the Dash-Ds. Also, when the government rises against We The People, the latter will have no fight or rebellion in them.

Individual Freedom in America is the only thing standing against world governance! And that is anathema to everyone from the UN to the DNC to the EU to the Chi-Coms.

It is not stupid. They hide behind stupidity. It is deliberate. It is deliberate brainwashing.

I’m now taking seriously, what I once thought was a whackjob tinfoil hat theory. This is a program to condition, to terrorize, to brainwash our children into fearing and hating guns and patriotism. If the Liberal scum can ruin our children, they have won.

Counterattack. Buy your child a gun, as young as he or she can operate one, and take them to the range. Let them talk it up with their friends. Spread the Good News. Spread the Good News in school.

Those four stories involve school districts stretching from coast to coast and north to south – SC, MA, PA and OR. I find it hard to believe that school boards representing such disparate parts of the country have simultaneously and spontaneously adopted these irrational policies. It seems likely somebody is pushing this agenda. Who? The NEA?

Welcome to the United States of PC and Leftism.

But remember. NEVER say or type anything concerning the horrors of extremist Islam. That could land you in court and prison..

Former U.S. Ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens and three individuals in Boston, were unavailable for comment.

One of the goals of this mindless robotic indoctrination of marxist pacifism is grinding away individualism and the right of self defense and replacing any original thoughts with group think where the state provides all means of security.

To give up Liberty is to be a slave.

Is “Amber Dawn” a pr0n star? Or a new feminine product?

Oh, well… a robust Second Amendment will not only protect her on the streets of Sh!tcago, it will also help guarantee her freedom to tweet nonsense (unlike in the UK, Canada, China and Iran).

Juba Doobai! | June 2, 2013 at 11:16 am

The SCt has stated clearly that children do not abandon their constitutional rights at the schoolhouse door. These people in public screwl are pushing an agenda with the end goal of repeal of the Second Amendment. However, these same children will rise up against them and choose to fight for their First and Second Amendment rights.

I’m coming out with a new line of cute assault weapon bubble guns for the mean girls at school. Tentative product line name:

Hello Catty.

TrooperJohnSmith | June 2, 2013 at 12:59 pm

Coming to a school near you, soon:

OUT: “We’re gonna throw the bomb on third-and-two.”
IN: “We’re gonna throw a really, really, unexpected bitchin’ long forward pass on third-and-two.”

OUT: “I don’t want you guys out there runnin’ and gunnin’. Slow down the tempo and pass the ball. Take good shots.”
IN: “I don’t want you guys out there runnin’ and throwing the ball at the basket’. Slow down the tempo and pass the ball. Take good opportunities to score.”

OUT: “Shotgun formation”
IN: “Stand-offish quarterback formation”

OUT: “Pistol offense”
IN: “Quick like a bunny offense”

OUT: “blitz”
IN: “Let’s all meet at the QB”

OUT: “kill the clock”
IN: “Let the clock have its own way”

[most effective when lisped]

Trust me… it’s coming.

The easiest way to top this is to win the school board elections. Then, the net time some bureaucrat pulls this type of stunt, overturn the suspension and tell the bureaucrat his contract will not be renewed next year.

A couple of those examples, and the whole problem goes away.

This is a deliberate attempt to brainwash children with the “gun=evil” meme. If we don’t stand up to it and politically clean out some of these school boards, in 20 years it will become conventional wisdom that guns should be banned, period. Instead of being seen as tools and treated with respect, they are being turned into the fears of night terrors for an entire generation.

I hope organizations like the NRA, GOA, and NAGR will map out a long term campaign to rationalize school policy and replace school board members who refuse to do so. We must demand better school leadership or our children will grow up to hate firearms and beg to be disarmed.

More ignorant, illogical and totally stupid antics of the fundamentalist nuts of the Religion of Gunophobia.

And I post that in response to any of my Liberal friends who post anti-religious bigot hate comments and links.

Don’t make the mistake of writing them off as stupid. It is deliberate. It is a deliberate program to terrorize our children.

I heard echos of that from my kindergartener. Something along the lines of guns are *ewww*. We had to talk about how guns can be useful if you need to confront bad guys.

It’s not stupid, it’s a plan. Not to eliminate guns or gun-like objects from school, but to produce a generation of Americans who couldn’t conceive of owning or handling a gun. If I were a Marxist who wanted to eliminate the 2nd Amendment that’s how I’d do it.

Aversion therapy, pure and simple. It’s a plan.

[…] The Zero Tolerance War on Kindergarteners […]

Zero tolerance policies are the current name for Thought Crime. A child showing the wrong thoughts is treated as a criminal, ridiculed in class by the teacher, called names by the other students, and removed from the class until his mind is right. It is a “two minute hate”.

To me, this is child abuse under the color of office. When will parents realize that these are sadistic displays of power against children? There is no judgment or mercy in these officials which stops them from imposing cruel and sudden mental anguish upon the children in their care. What child is safe from emotional abuse under such management?

Parents would demonstrate in crowds if their schools failed to promote entire classes of their children. In a different sense, their schools are indeed failing entire classes of children. Where is the demonstration of anger? Why are such teachers, principals, and school boards allowed to keep their power and position?

The idea of Thought Crime and the “two minute hate” was explained in George Orwell’s novel “1984” published in 1949. It is a fictional warning about a future under complete government control. The novel was informed by Orwell’s experiences in the British Communist party. He awoke to write a warning.

Wags have noted that “1984” was a warning, but Progressives have used it as an instruction manual.

The public schools are fulfilling the plans of John Dewey and the dictatorial state. This was the intent from the beginning.

John Dewey was a social planner and a still celebrated philosopher of the US public schools:

“Independent self-reliant people would be a counterproductive anachronism in the collective society of the future where people will be defined by their associations (1896).”

[ Restated: Who you know will be much more important than what you know in the socialist, planned world of the future. ]

“The children who know how to think for themselves spoil the harmony of the collective society that is coming, where everyone would be interdependent (1899).”

[ Restated: We don’t want independent thinkers. A few smart children will be needed to run the society, from good families and trained in the private schools. Any excess from the public schools will merely spoil the social harmony by needlessly trying to change or oppose the scientific plans of the elite.]

They scare children half to death for no reason other than to impress the other children what they can do. Kind of like that ex-EPA official who compared his enforcements to crucifying one person.

These school officials are just plain evil. They’re the educational equivalent of Nurse Ratched.

I would normally say that people should be home schooling their kids, but honestly that isn’t enough.

These aren’t cases of stupidity or over zealousness on the part of “educators.” These are clear and definitive examples of MALICE that must be answered.

The imposition of anti-gun ideology is state establishment of religion, which the schools also do with green ideology and many other things. It isn’t just the First Amendment that is being violated by our highly politicized public monopoly on education, but also the Article IV section 4 guarantee to the states that they shall have a republican form of government. That means first and foremost that the people are master and the government the slave. When government starts dictating ideology to the people (in this case by confiscating and brainwashing their children) it has assumed the role of master and is making the people their slave.

The duesetude of the guarantee clause is one of the travesties of Supreme Court history, violating the first principle of constitutional interpretation articulated by Chief Justice Marshall: that no provision of the Constitution shall be interpreted so as to be without effect unless such an interpretation is NECESSARY, while the duesetude of the guarantee clause has come about for the most circumstantial and UNNECESSARY reasons. Very simply, the cases that established the non-justiciability of the guarantee clause were all cases where petitioners appealed to the guarantee clause as a grounds for overturning election results (on the grounds that the election process was somehow not properly republican).

Since verification of election results is a fundamental responsibility of the executive branch, the court cannot overturn such results without intruding on the equally important duties of a co-equal branch of government, raising the “political question problem.” But it is perfectly possible to formulate guarantee clause cases that do not seek to overturn election results. A perfect example is the public schools brainwashing everyone’s children with anti-Second-Amendment ideology (teaching kids that keeping and bearing guns is bad, when the Constitution holds it to be a crucial public good).

Not only is government seeking to be the master, telling the people what they should believe, but the ideology it is seeking to impose is one that stands in exact contradiction to the founding principles of the nation. That extra perversity does not qualitatively change the guarantee clause violation, but it might make it stand out enough for people to recognize that government brainwashing of children is unrepublican.

Of course the whole concept of public education is in gross violation of the guarantee clause, as are many other aspects of the today’s overreaching government. Public unions, for instance, violate the fundamental principle of republicanism that the people shall have the electoral power to throw the incumbent bums out. Public unions and the civil service laws both make this impossible and hence should both be considered unconstitutional. Now we are saddled with vast left-wing dominated bureaucracies where none of the bureaucrats can be removed from power. The improper duesetude of the guarantee clause has been costly indeed.

[…] 5 year-old makes terror threat […]

This is the result of obvious coordination between anti- gunners and the National Education Association. The indoctrination of the youngest public school children is going on under our noses. Firing teachers and administrators who enforce and implement these policies is the only way to protect future gun rights for these kids. This requires bringing down a very heavy hammer.

Heaven help the next kid who brings the wrong bubble gum to school.

The zero tolerance war on young children is not designed to insure school safety. It clearly crosses a line into thought control – all guns are evil. It is the use of state power to launch a collateral attack on Second Amendment rights. As such, I wonder why no creative lawyer has not brought a 1983 suit against the respective school administrations for this insanity.
