good lord … neither of those guys is carrying a 20 – 30 lb bomb in those backpacks … a pressure cooker filled with nails and BB’s and explosive is going to weigh at least that much … especially the guy in the white hat … one-strapping a backpack with a bomb in it ? I don’t think so …
The FBI is desperate … they are looking at any male with a backpack … they have no clue … don’t forget the bombs where placed 50 yards apart … no way the actual bombers walked together (assuming there was actually 2 individuals)

Interesting point, but does it hold up with a closer look?–

    1. This fairly small (4 qt) pressure cooker weighs 10 lbs. This one weighs 5.

    2. The density of iron is about 8 gm/cc, about 8x the standard 1 gm/cc for water.

    3. Assume that a quart is used for ball bearings and the like. If a pint of water is a pound, two pints of iron are about 15 lbs.

    4. So at first blush I can’t dismiss your estimate of 20-30 lbs. However, I stress that I have no experience with or knowledge of actual explosive devices.

    5. Perhaps the images were captured after the suspects left the bombs?

My laptop bag, a Swissgear backpack I carry every work day, easily weighs over twenty pounds. Along with the full size laptop and power transformer it also holds client files, a loaded three ring binder, and some quick reference books. And I carry it single shoulder, much like suspect #2.

A five pound pot, loaded with several pounds of powder and another couple pounds of metal objects, and detonation device probably weighed the same, maybe even a little less.

Here is a possible thought. What if the pressure cookers were not filled to the brim with shrapnel? All the major injuries appear to be to the lower bodies. I suppose that might be from the fact the bombs were on the ground and the crowd of people. But what if the shrapnel only half filled (or less) the cooker?

I want to believe my government.

I want to believe those pics I saw this morning, of what appears to be a Saudi/arab sleeper cell conversing as much as an hour before the bombings…

I want to believe they are “just” a track team, therefor cannot be jihadi’s…

I want to believe the Saudi in the hospital, and Obama meeting with the Saudi Foreign Minister, resulting in said Saudi getting deported immediately means nothing..

What I do know:

If your government lies to you, consistently, it opens the door to “conspiracy” theories..

If civilians are blown up in full view of cameras, in this day in age, there is an 80% chance it’s the work of arab males, aged 18-35.

Having to say these things pains me. I pray for this country.

A KEY QUESTION that the corrupt socialist media will NEVER consider or explore:

Are these terrorists RELATED to OBOZO’s murdering and bombing Weather Underground pals ayers and dorn, or were they just INSPIRED by them to emulate their horrific acts of terror?

These pics have been alluded to before. they both look as if they are dressed by someone else for effect.

Surely no young man would be out in public in slacks & dad shoes topped off with the Hanes v neck white t.

Somehow that back to front cap thing just don’t look right.

No American youth might wear that but neither of them would be out of place in London.

No way Jose ……not London –

“He is a dedicated follower of fashion ,
And when he does his little round s,
      Round the boutiques of Londontown,
Eagerly perusing all the latest fads”…..

These would definitely be caught on cam a every corner & reported for crimes against fashion.

I’m thinking “occutard” fits the look. After all, there were a couple already convicted of planning on bombing a bridge in Cleveland.

And no other group has come forward to claim responsibility, as far as we have heard.

So yeah, I’m thinking Occupy is responsible. Seems their kind of target and tactic. Similar to that of Bill Ayers, Obama’s convicted domestic terrorist buddy.

Weren’t they supported by Elizabeth Warren, the great Warrior?

Someone cleaned them up . The clothes look like they were bought at a generic store .

This is when they needed their Guy Fawkes masks.

Based upon their relative youth and apparent caucasian-ness you think that ‘Occutards’ might come up in any attempts to profile them.

But not from anyone with Holder’s Justice Department, that’s for sure.

I wish the FBI would tell us what insignia are on the ball caps. Maybe they were bought locally.

Every school kid here wears a backpack that weighs in excess of 30 pounds. It’s astounding how much weight they carry. A 30# pack would be light. You think I’m kidding, try picking one up.

How’s this for a conspiracy theory: the Saudi really was the bomber, but that doesn’t fit the Narrative, so they deport him and “never find” the bomber. That way, Barry can blame the Tea party, Mitch McConnell, or the NRA for months.

Watch the higher placed video. Right after the suspects walk past a young female walks by with a backpack that is no less heavy looking, no less capable of holding a packed pressure cooker.

Why must the bombers be male? Half the SDS bombers of Ayers’ time were female.

Prosaically, it looks like the FBI has nothing and is fishing for a clue. Cynically, perhaps the bomber is already on an eastbound international flight and all of this is show time, kabuki for the masses.

ThomasD in reply to Henry Hawkins. | April 18, 2013 at 8:57 pm

Assuming the multiple suspect theory is valid it is entirely possible there were others with bombs, who either got cold feet or were otherwise thwarted from placing their packages.

If these two do not come forward in the very near future, while not dispositive, is a strong indication they are involved.

Reports say the FBI has ‘video evidence’ of suspect #2 placing the bomb at the second blast location. That might be the second photo from the top here. But in full versions of that photo he is somewhat back from the barricade. While in the famous ‘before and after’ phot of the bag it appears to be right next to the mailbox.

If the FBI has other, unreleased images from that location, with him in them I don’t understand why they would be holding them back.

Obviously, these ones were wearing caps and sunglasses with one purpose: not to be recognized by cameras. So far, they’ve been quite successful.

Doesn’t anyone think they probably are somewhere out of new England by now… or even crossed the border into Canada? it has been 72 hours since the bombing. If they haven’t found squat by now, how probably it is they will find something by the end of the week? I have my doubts.

Maybe they’re hidden in plain sight… I wouldn’t even discount the possibility that it probably was done by two students, maybe one or both from MIT… No one seems to think of other possibilities…

Enhancement, facial recognition, etc.,….

Cameras, upon videos, upon cameras and videos, and days later….

…The full force of the governmental investigative apparatus asks the public to identify the suspects?

Fluffy Foo Foo | April 18, 2013 at 11:48 pm

MIT student maybe? Something is going on there right now.
