Friday Night Newt

Friday Night Newt

What better way to end the work week than Newt beating up on an journalist, I mean Piers Morgan.

Brings back such good memories.

What Newt does to Morgan and all the other folks in the press is the answer to the post below.

Newt should be hired to train the Republicans and their spokespeople on how to deal with a hostile media. He does not accept their narrative, stands up for the country and constitution, shows a sense of humor and an image of niceness. Perfection.

Pears Morgan…a JOURNALIST…!?!?

Please, Prof. That is taking charity WAY too FLUCKING far…

I rename journalists – literary journalists – the storytellers of the left – I touch on this on Hollywoodgurkha.com – which I’m about to launch on Monday.

I also call what the media reports as media fiction.

I call leftists VICKI – you’ll find out soon.

So much time and so much to mock.

Remember: Always keep your cell phones charged.

Newt schools Piers.

And playwright David Mamet schools his former comrades on the left.

“The police do not exist to protect the individual. They exist to cordon off the crime scene and attempt to apprehend the criminal. We individuals are guaranteed by the Constitution the right to self-defense. This right is not the Government’s to “award” us. They have never been granted it.”

Trying to discuss anything with Morgan is an exercise in futility. One would get more intelligible responses from a brick wall.

Even Newt had a task here…

Don’t you just love it when a commie British exile (who can’t go home again…not and be employed anyway) comes to America and works so diligently for the loss of one of our prime freedoms? Anyone would think he had some relevant opinion in this game. He sure does have a limited audience to spout his views. Whatever happened to the idea when you go to a country, whether for work or pleasure, you respect the laws of that country and keep your mouth shut if ou don’t agree. A lot of countries would put him in prison if he voiced a call to overturn their constitution. And in the long run, that is exactly what he is doing.

The argument from these libs is always the same: “why does anybody need (this or that)?”

Perhaps I don’t “need” an AR-15, but where does the government obtain the authority to determine the “needs” of the citizens? I don’t recall ever voting for any candidate so that he could tell me what the might think I “need”.

Newt Should have been..but idiot repubs, joined The Left and he wasn’t.

Look on Newts face in the still shot, one detects (I did, dunno’ about others) Newt is close to laughter and in his mind, MUST be saying..’This Guy Is A PUTZ, why do we need a PUTZ from England, we have enough already here‘..

I just came back from the range. Amoung our half dozen were 2 women. 1 in her 50s on her secound week of ever shooting the other in her 60s on her 5th time ever.
Both shot 40 rds at 15 yards on paper to check their groups then random shots at steels, clays & soda can. Smiling like they were goofy.
Now they want to learn how to cleans guns. Finaly, a woman’s job comes home to roost!

I wish Newt was aware of the situation in Texas. A 15 year old teen home alone with his 12 year old sister when 2 home home invaders broke thru a back window. He grabbed his father’s AR-15 and drove off the invaders who were later captured at the hospital.

Obama said he would set policy based on whether it would save even one child.

Well there you go, in this case an AR-15 saved two. Time after time good people use guns to save the life of that child, yet those are not reported, or even acknowledged.

So Obama, keep your word, issue an AR-15 to every house that has children. You will save thousands.

Hannity had a good show last night exposing that the business of DC government is selling favor, and growing government. They extract the wealth of the rest of the country, which may be the real motive behind disarmament of the masses.

I voted for Newt in the primary but was very disappointed with his answers. In the first place, it’s NOT illegal for Americans to own fully automatic weapons – those weapons are just highly regulated and taxed (and VERY expensive). Also, I cringed when he said it should be illegal to own “dangerous” weapons. Sorry, but that sounded a lot like Joycelyn Elders right there…

I wasn’t fully thrilled with Gingrich’s answers. He should have slammed Piers immediately on the difference between a 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun and the AR-15. He should have slammed him on calling the AR-15 a machine gun (aka “assault RIFLE”) — which can fire 800 rounds a minute on one trigger pull. He should have explained the difference between “automatic” and “semi-automatic”. He should have pointed out how quickly, just seconds, it takes to change a magazine, and how stupid the idea of limiting magazine capacity. He should have had some statistics and numbers regarding self-defense use. And he should have said that law-abiding citizens in fact should be able to own and use ANY “arms” that they want to, subject to requirements, perhaps, that true military weapons not needed for ordinary self-defense, hunting, or sport be kept under lock.

We keep thinking that if we explain the difference between a semi auto and an auto we will win the debate. That is a lost cause and has NOTHING to do with the left’s agenda.

Jeremy Clarkson had the right idea RE Piers. I don’t understand why it doesn’t happen more often.

[…] first saw this tonight at Legal Insurrection. Like William Jacobson, I’m also fan of […]

I tried to watch the video for Newt (who would have been a MUCH better candidate than Romney, but then, so would a potatoe) but Piers Morgan is such a thoroughly loathsome creature that I couldn’t stomach it.

I’ll just stipulate that Newt won the exchange.

By the way, off topic: how is it that the mild-mannered Gingrich was so often called “angry” during the primaries, but Clinton, who veritably snarled and shouted during the recent Congressional hearings, is applauded by the liberal media?

I’d give Newt a C on this one.

Here’s where I’d like to see the gun control line drawn:

If the police feel they need a certain type or class of weapon, then it should be available and legal to own for the general populace. We and the police live in this world and if the police need it to be safe, well then, so do we.

How come we don’t ever hear about the 1946 Battle of Athens? Piers wonders why anyone would need a rifle. Well, in 1946 returning WWII vets returned to a corrupt system where local officials attempted to rig elections. After their pleas to the FBI and federal agencies to monitor the election went unanswered and the local sheriff confiscated ballots to be counted by the cronies in charge, the vets went to keep the vote honest and a gun battle broke out.

After all was said and done and peace restored, the veteran candidates won the election and ousted the cronies.

http://jpfo.org/filegen-a-m/athens.htm

Similar events took place in other townships in other states, but didn’t raise up to that level of conflict.

In an age where David Gregory is above the law while a number of returning veterans have been prosecuted to the hilt in DC and had years of fighting to get their guns returned, and in an age where both parties pull crap to rig elections, our guns are more important than ever.

Perhaps the next time the teachers in Madison take to the streets to show us what democracy looks like, they should consider adding the Battle of Athens to their history class curriculum so their pupils learn what it takes to be a real patriot?

Though Newt was/is superb at verbally trashing morons, the best ass whuppin’ I’ve heard in a long, long time occurred as I drove home the other evening and radio channel surfed into Sean Hannity’s show. He had two guests discussing gun control, the insufferable Marc Lamont Hill and Breitbart’s Ben Shapiro. Shapiro absolutely wiped the floor with Hill’s tortured attempts to defend current gun control proposals.

Following as it did Shapiro’s recent Piers Morgan bitchslapdown, I might have a new hee-ro. My hesitation is only because Morgan and Hill hardly constitute worthy opponents.

There are NO journalists anymore.

Propagandists, novelists, documentarians, political operatives but no journalists.

Alright, it’s time that we insist that Great Britain take Piers Morgan back or “the bombing begins in 5 minutes”.

TrooperJohnSmith | January 26, 2013 at 8:43 am

Why the heck didn’t Newt correct Morgan when he alleged the Sandy Hook killer used an AR15?

Also, the idiot in Aurora had a magazine malfunction, because a 100-round magazine is not mechanically reliable, hence you’ll never see one in combat.

And nobody can “kill a hundred people a minute” with a semi-automatic weapon. No. Way.

The greater risk of mass murder, of organized mass murder, is from government. Particularly upon an unarmed population.

This is the context of banning the government from banning guns in the hands of the citizens who created the government.

It necessarily leaves open the perpetually troubling question of when a government has gone rouge.

What about stopping no-knock raids that seem to hit wrong addresses or lead to gratuitous slaughter? Should a cop be treated as no better than an intruder when they engage in non-knock raids?
