“Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual”

“Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual”

I did get a chance, on my voyage yesterday, to listen to this part of Rush’s show (emphasis mine):

RUSH:  I’m gonna take a stab at answering my question Obama is literally pushing people to snap, attacking the very sanity of the country.  To what end?  Aside from wanting everybody’s name on a list of some kind, why is Obama doing all of this?  I mean, all of this is so in our face.  Everything that people hold dear is under assault, deliberately making people upset.  This is not what presidents do.  Deliberately making people upset.

Maybe this is about revenge.  You know, Obama used that word when he was on the campaign trail prior to the election.  He told his supporters in Ohio to go vote and get their revenge.  Revenge against who?  Well, obviously, the people that disagree with Obama.  But who are those people?  He clearly knows who they are, and I think the root of this, I think the answer to my question can be found in the comment that Obama made when he thought he was off the record at a fundraiser in San Francisco, when he talked about the bitter clingers.  These are people that the liberals all know.   These are the not very bright people that want life to never change.  They don’t want any progress….

None of this should come as a surprise (audio here):

Barack Obama will require you to work. He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your divisions. That you come out of your isolation, that you move out of your comfort zones. That you push yourselves to be better. And that you engage. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved, uninformed.

It’s his model.  Push.  Complain about you.  Push.  Complain about you. Push.  Complain about you.

He who values the right to privacy as a basis for aborting fetuses does not value your privacy, your right to be left alone.

“The right to be left alone—the most comprehensive of rights, and the right most valued by a free people.”— Louis Brandeis, dissenting, OLMSTEAD v. U.S., 277 U.S. 438 (1928).

“The right to be left alone—the most comprehensive of rights, and the right most valued by a free people.”

Well, that right there could be the nut-cutting question, as we say in Texas…

do we now insist on government NOT leaving us alone in sufficient numbers that we can no longer claim to be a “free people”.

Have we sold out for rent-seeking regulations, “protection”, and ObamaPhones…???

I love how brilliant Louis Brandeis was. The above quote isn’t even my favorite from Olmstead.

“Experience should teach us to be most on our guard to protect liberty when the government’s purposes are beneficent. Men born to freedom are naturally alert to repel invasion of their liberty by evil-minded rulers. The greatest dangers to liberty lurk in insidious encroachment by men of zeal, well-meaning but without understanding.”

I quoted this during a debate I had when I was against the Patriot Act. Back then, I believe that the Patriot Act was “well-meaning but without understanding.” I think that Obama, however, doesn’t have the “well-meaning” intentions.

Unfortunately, the majority of Americans have gotten used to trading in their liberty for government protection. They no longer “alert to repel invasion of their liberty by evil-minded rulers.”

Rush has a point. The One DOES want people to snap.

Last night, I showed to The Duke what happened yesterday concerning The One, “the children” and the gun control.

He then said, “Maybe it’s time.”

“For what?”

You know…”

At this point in time, it can be a foregone conclusion that someone WILL snap in the near future.

And when that happens, all Hell is gonna break loose!

I have to say tha Obama has pushed me personally to a level of distrust/dislike/disdain that I have NEVER had for any POTUS before him. I can’t stand to watch or listen to him so I keep abreast of his actions via blogs, articles & even newspapers. If I listen to him on TV or radio I get too angry and ugly thoughts enter my head.

    I loathe hearing Obama’s voice.

scfanjl in reply to Catherine. | January 17, 2013 at 3:43 pm

My kids call him “he who shall not be named” being of the Harry Potter age and turn down the radio for me whenever he’s on.

theduchessofkitty in reply to Catherine. | January 17, 2013 at 7:20 pm

I see his face on TV – I change the channel.

I see his face on the cover of a magazine – I cover it with another one and then leave.

Hear his voice on the radio – turn the darned thing off!

      You get the idea…

That’s how I also felt about Clinton. In his eight years, I never listened to a speech of his cuz there was a constant refrain in my head: you’re being lied to. With Obama, the refrain is this: you’re hated. Can’t stand to look at him or hear him speak.

And he has a wonderful, all-intrusive, poorly appreciated tool-those performance assessments that were funded in advance as part of the Stimulus Act. To the tune of hundreds of millions to the behavioral ed complex. I just spent the morning downloading the intentions and specs for the behaviors and attitudes and values to be targeted and monitored for each student while parents simply assume we are talking about tests.

As the specs note as well as the creators, these performance assessments go a long way towards creating the Kind of Person desired for a future voter. And they will have far more of Obama and Goodwin Liu’s and the no-so-wise Latina’s view of the Constitution and what their obligation as citizens are than anything Madison wrote.

Obama and Michelle’s long-time advocacy for the poorly understood and downright duplicitous Facing History curriculum also goes a long way towards explaining how they wish to redefine what it means to be an American.

http://www.invisibleserfscollar.com/continuing-our-conversation-on-the-planned-psychologizing-of-each-student-via-the-classroom/ is the story I wrote on Facing History and the importance and dangers of creating widespread false belief systems in a democracy.

The vote and daily behaviors are based on perceptions that are not true. While reality and causes and effects creates the actual consequences that affect all of us. Which is precisely what started in earnest in the 90s but is really about to be nationalized. For both K-12 and higher ed.

It is also a primary driver of so much of this unprecedented federal spending. Creating enforcers for the false belief system with a vested interest in preserving those false perceptions.

Even so, the “agents of change” have been at work in our school system since at least as far back as the late ’70s. Dumbing Down America by Charlotte Thomson Iserbyt is a must read for conservatives — who should make it their number one duty to abolish the Dept. of Education. There is simply no way to turn the country back to its founding ethos (short of the “snapping” I hope we don’t have to endure) without taking back our schools.

Meanwhile, we have the GOP toying yet again with another Bush, Jeb, whose main focus is education, using the central government to “improve” it. The GOP is a relic and needs to go the way of the Whigs. They are worse than useless and have become nothing but power-sharers. Obama could not do the damage he’s doing if the Repubs weren’t rubber-stampers, with few exceptions, notable though they are.

Liking your post was not enough!

I had to salute you and urge all with children or intending to have children to get involved and return education to local districts and counties.

Then I am not alone in this very dark tunnel through which we’re moving. I pray fervently that the darkness be dispelled, thwarted, neutered, humiliated, and utterly undone, and that good men will take action, gird their loins, and steel their resolve. Amen.

I am staggered by the number of people openly talking about a second war between the states. The One must know about it, and he must know that he is feeding it. So it must be on purpose, right?

Imagine his frustration right now. Even his Democrats are starting to think about life after Obama.

He’s so thin skinned. I’m hoping that with all that’s going on (Benghazi, Algeria, opposition to his gun control) and mounting criticisms, maybe he’ll crack. Keep pounding and I think we’re going to see the mask explode in a sudden rage.

“Creating enforcers for the false belief system with a vested interest in preserving those false perceptions.”

Isn’t this exactly what Castro and Chavez have done in their countries?

My centavos..

When you have an individual heavily steeped in socialism/neo-marxism and racism, had mentors the likes of Frank Marshall Davis, Soetoro, his “father” Sr. Obama, Saul Alinsky, one isn’t going to have an exactly stand-up finished product.

Typically, little boys, while looking up to their fathers, really believe that the sun rises and sets on their mothers. So umm, why didn’t this person write (if he did) ‘Dreams of my Mother’?

If Sr. O was NOT a muslim, he sure was surrounded by them. Like wise with Lolo Sotero.

Divide and Conquer, “by any means”, Alinsky.

Frank Marshall Davis, that sure looks like HE WAS Barry’s daddy..Commie, wasn’t he?

Ayers and Dohrn, fine upstanding citizens of the U.S.A., huh? Why gosh, one could think that fellow BOMBER Brett Kimberlin thought the world of those two.

This is the Obama EVERYONE should know. The Obama THAT “is literally pushing people to snap, attacking the very sanity of the country”.

I am conintually amazed at how utterly immature BO is. Obviously, we know – we knew – he lacks leadership skills at every level.

But this term he has the mentality of a player in a pick-up basketball player. His team is good the other team is bad and he just wants to win for winnings sake. DEM= good; REP = bad. He likes to talk smack this term too – just like on the hoops court.

Think about what BO is good at in life besides having a nice speaking voice? He seems to really enjoy basketball, and now golf. In other words, he gravitates toward petty competitions. (these are fine forms of adult relaxation in moderation)

BO’s leftist handlers know this. And they have figured out how to wind up dumb-dumb BO. Make this all about BO winning and BO losing.

But the scariest part of all may not even be BO — he is what we expected him to be (somewhat worse actually).

WHAT IS SCARY is Boehner. I truly fear that Boehner lacks the stones and internal fortitutde (and adherance to basic principles of fiscal responsibility) to stay the course and protect this county thru 2014.

God Bless America — PLEASE …and NOW

Should have expanded: “racism”. Just exactly were those ‘Colonialist’s” that his “father” despised?

White Brits, eh? Paging piers morgan, mr. piers morgan?

I take exception with Mooseshell’s point on not being uninformed–his plans demand and depend on the uninformed voting for him and his successors.

The O’man is the ultimate nihilist. He has contempt for all. He has spent his life pulling people’s strings beginning with the pretty lefty white people who raised him. At the same time he absorbed the nonsense they spouted. It served his personality. Being a half & half he didn’t care for either. Being promoted from the dem left neither the dems nor the left now have meaningful input on where he’ll go. He scares the normal dem, he is the logical end of their agenda they didn’t want to see. He delights the far left as he creates destruction. The media is fascinated & fearful, he is their creation over which they have no control. They have no choice but to be all in. The standard Republican is now faced with the consequences of the me to but, go along to get along policy. O’man is riding a wave that has been decades building.

I think it’s far easier to get a liberal to snap.

Why do we wait for them to make us snap, when we can make them snap?

Are we too polite?

Sometimes all it takes is a timely smile, or laugh.

Liberals carry so much anger, they are always close to the edge. We saw it during the town halls a few years back.

I said it then, and I’ll say it again-

If your enemy is close to the edge, and gentle nudge may be in order.

Or, do we buy into the liberal mantra that President Thinskin is too smooth to get rattled by a little person mocking, laughing in his face?

    This.

Afaic Obama is doing nothing more than pickup basketball trash talk. From the post: It’s his model. Push. Complain about you. Push. Complain about you. Push. Complain about you.

It’s understandable, maybe, that we were caught off guard early on.

It’s inexcusable that the GOP hasn’t yet developed countermeasures. Nine figures or more to consultants…

From my extremely limited knowledge of sports: If a play works, keep running it until they stop it. Complaining doesn’t stop it. Per Browndog, it seems we’ve forgotten what a thin skin Obama has. We’ve forgotten that he can dish it out but he can’t take it.

My exact thoughts. See my reponse to another poster above (prior to reading yours).

Banock Omaba, the Marxist Oval Office Occupier, knows but two things:

1. He won
2. Someone else will always be blamed for his incompetence.

His Communist/Socialist upbringing, combined with Waahabist teachings and guided by the barely closeted Trust Fund Socialists have created the “Perfect Storm” to destroy the American Dream. he is doing his Master’s wishes and won’t stop even when he gets out of prison.

The essence of his “gun control” executive orders was Big Brother; they had nothing to do with guns. One more avenue to enable government to compile another set of lists on another set of citizens. They’re called dossiers. In four years neither life nor the prospect for living in either this country or much of the rest of the world will bear any resemblence to what it had been just ten short years earlier. We are well through Ronald Reagan’s “one generation” and gathering speed with each passing day.

The world will be a much poorer place for Barack Obama ever having been a President of the United States of America. To our shame, we elected him.

I realize why this guy irritates me so much. He’s everywhere, all the time, every day of the week. The unearned, unreasonable and unfathomable idolatry of this man is nauseating. I am so sick of him.

Rush called him President Kardashian. He pegged that correctly. These media vampires intrude into every facet of life, especially when one doesn’t care to hear anything about them. They never go away.

Presidents used to do a little this and that, met with foreign leaders, signed a few bills, and generally didn’t climb into the 24/7 media hype machine. They saved their time, energy and political capital for when it was necessary.

I sort of blame Bill Clinton for this trend.

These clowns are talking about essentially deputizing doctors to query patients about gun ownership as a “health” issue, and making it illegal to give false answers and illegal for the doc not to ask. We’re hip deep in lawyers around here – doesn’t that make the doctor an agent of the state and doesn’t a patient have a 5th Amendment right against forced self-incrimination?

Juba Doobai! in reply to Henry Hawkins. | January 18, 2013 at 11:47 am

You are functioning as though we still have a Constitution. The first time Obama violated it with his use of executive orders to circumvent Congress, and the House did not bring articles of impeachment against him, the Constitution went out the door. We have no guaranteed rights, immunities, privileges. What we have is Obama and ad hoc law.

“Push. Complain about you. Push. Complain about you. Push. Complain about you.”

Like any bully trying to start a fight…

Bitterlyclinging | January 17, 2013 at 8:18 pm

Push people to insurrection. Get them to rise up against you, delineate them, segregate them. Get all your staunchest enemies congregated together, just as Hitler gathered all the SA leaders together at the lakeside resort, sleeping peacefully in their rooms, The Night Of The Long Knives, gathered in places like the proposed Citadel in Idaho, then bring in a single B-2 with a dozen J-Dams on board.
Within a half hour afterwards you’ll be able to declare yourself Dictator For Life Barack Obama. All of your Liberal supporters will pour joyously, ecstatically into the streets and into whatever bars are open in celebration, humping each other indiscriminantly, iregardless of gender. They will demand that the radio stations play “Happy Days Are Here Again” non stop for 24, no 36 hours continuously.
There is one thing axiomatic about all wars. They never end the way the party that initiates the war envisions them as ending.
Would the Japanese Pilots that eagerly climbed aboard their Zekes and Betties sitting on the carrier flight decks northwest of Pearl Harbor been as ecstatic, or the flight crews as joyous as when they waved them off or greeted them on their returns had they foreseen Hiroshima and Nagasaki, or the other 66 Japanese cities that were ultimately struck by “Hurricanes of flame?”

For Obama, the Newtown killings are another opportunity to gin up a “crisis” and go into campaign mode. Already he’s preparing to go on the road and beat the drum against his enemies. It’s what he likes to do; it’s all that he’s good at. Certainly not administration.

Yes – it is called Brinkmanship or Taunting For VIPs.

Meanwhile France GB & USa are getting it in the neck in North Africa.

Benghazi – USA

Mali – France

Algeria BP gas fields.- GB & USA.

All of this looks bad .

We’re doomed, you say?

Well, let’s go down fighting. I’d rather be a dead freedom fighter than a living slave. To coin a phrase.
