The real “Obama Effect”

The real “Obama Effect”

I wish I could tell you that this is a funny parody movie, but I cannot. This movie is 100% real.

The best line from the trailer?

-Q.What do you do when you fall off the path and you want to get back on?

-A. You just keep following the blueprint the Lord puts in front of you.

Cut straight to a shot of the enthralled protagonist watching Mr. Barack Obama triumphantly declare that “Our time for change has come.”

They didn’t have to waste all that time and money making a whole movie about the “Obama Effect,” we already found a more accurate example of it.

A 2012 version of “Birth Of A Nation”.

Simply awful.

That there is funny and a damn good video analogy of Obama’s policies.

Coincidentally, I’d just finished reading this:

http://www.rokemneedlearts.com/carsindepth/wordpressblog/?p=10127

The money line:
“Small wonder that when a reporter visited the Modec factory in Coventry, there was a video screen in the factory lobby playing photos of President Obama on an endless loop.”

Synopsis:

Brain-damaged after heart attack, man uproots successful life and becomes volunteer for political flimflam artist.

What? No cameo from Ed Schultz as Obama’s press secretary?

The Obama Effect could win a Bizarro Oscar.

Five years ago who would imagine that such a movie would see the light of day. I’m starting to think we’re living a bizarro version of The Truman Show. Apparently we’re all bit players in Obama’s world. But the example was very funny – though it’s hard to know whether to laugh or cry. Also, nice to see Ernest Borgnine in that clip.

They should rename the movie “When People Done Lost They Minds”

Four more years of this mess reminds me of another film, specifically its ending:

Yeah. Make History !

We’ve seen 3 1/2 years of history, and it sure ain’t pretty.

Sometimes God deals you a hand of losing cards.
Obama is that hand. Time to fold ‘em.

So this is clearly an effort to get people to work for “free” for Obama. (Good luck with that). I think however you made a mistake using an all white Poseidon Adventure. You need another all black film like:
– SHAFTed
– I’m Gonna Get You Sucka
– Hustle & BHO
– He’s a MENACE TO SOCIETY
– MALCOLM X
– COMING TO what used to be AMERICA
– A RADICAL in the SUN
or

LADY SINGS THE BLUES

And all he has to do is act naturally.

I did not see those disaster movies until 20 years later on TV. What a hoot! Never could connect Maureen’s songs but together the are just so 70s.

Fantastic.

If I live that long I will wait until 2032 for te other one. And if I die before that – shucks.

I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry while watching that. Mostly I just cringed out of embarrassment for the people involved. And it opens on Friday the 13th. Scary. And funny. And scary.

Seriously? A real movie? … going to go sit under the table for a few minutes and try to stabilize my time and place orientation.

In today’s youthful slang, saying something is “bad” means it’s really good.

For example, “Louie’s new Porsche is bad!!”

Let me try a little slang:

That movie looks good!

Okay, Professor. I see your Obama Effect and I raise you a Runaway Slave.
