Newt: “All of us have an obligation to do everything we can to defeat Barack Obama”

Newt: “All of us have an obligation to do everything we can to defeat Barack Obama”

I thanked Newt the other day.

Newt thanks his supporters today, and has released a video in which he reiterates the need to defeat Barack Obama.

There aren’t going to be sour grapes or pouting.  He’s bigger than that, even if his enemies aren’t.

Yep. There you go, Newt. Hope they see how important you can be in the future.

Classy.
Unlike the slime who stabbed you in the back.

Pure class!
I know how you feel, Terri.

I sincerely wish both Newt and his wife the very best in the future.

God Bless you, Newt.

Thank you, Newt, for your leadership and clarity of vision. Today I am a bit less cheerful due to this announcement.

I continue to drink my morning coffee from my Newt2012 mug….

He seemed a bit sad.

And the Romneybots did a war dance and sang a song asking why it took Mewt so long.

Newt, you weren’t my candidate, but you conducted yourself with class and grace. You had ideas and were willing to articulate them. We still don’t know what ideas the possible nominee has, but you told us yours. We who remember the power of your ideas, your bold and decisive action in the 90’s, would rejoice those them implemented.

Thanks for the memories, Newt.

There’s a big contrast between how Newt did it and how Santorum did it. While you could argue that Newt stayed in it too late, there’s no argument that Newt’s video is a fine way to end the campaign.

Santorum just quit and then went quiet – which I didn’t like.

Both of them should endorse Romney ASAP.

One last question. Why isn’t the media clamoring for Ron Paul to drop out like tey did with these two? Paul has run an amazingly bad campaign and is often very irrelevant. So where is the outrage? Why haven’t the media mentioned his age either? Or his pitiful record in Congress?

“Why isn’t the media clamoring for Ron Paul to drop out…”

Because Ron Paul supporters will vote only for Ron Paul, so he and they are not really a factor.

Good to hear that from Newt…and a great message.
Lets hope Romney finds ways for Newt to be active in the campaign and should Romney win? A good spot for him in a Romney Administration. If it were me? Chief of Staff.
In looking back its good to recall the impact his campaign had on some things.
1. He showed candidates how to debate and what the bar is for good exchanges. How to think in their feet.
2. More than any candidate he found ways to get into Obama’s head and actually force a response. Off the top of my head Im thinking Newts visit to a drill site to show Obama what drilling looks like. Classic Newt. The list is long.
3. Some Romney defenders make take exception but I think Newt did a great service by serving as Romney’s sparring partner to get him ready for the big fight. Romney is better off having had to reply to Newts assertions.
4. Newt remains one of the very best in the field at talking to us conservatives and will go along way in explaining conservative thinking to independants.

So? Were better off having had Newt around this season.
And I forgot to mention..the kick we all got out of the SC Primary. One for the books I think

Recruit Newt for VP!

Watching this video was hard for several reasons. One being it is yet another reminder that in his eloquence he reminds us that he has the temperament to be President.

I’m a Palin supporter that backed Newt when Palin didn’t run. At the end of the day it’s ABO,ABO, ABO!!!!! Newt gave it his best shot. He understands that our republic will not survive four more years of Obama. ABO,ABO, ABO!!!!

I like how he made no mention of Romney, no endorsement. If he’d actually endorsed Romney, my heart would hurt and stomach churn.

Yes Newt, I guess Stalin is better than Hitler.. If that’s the highest the people want to raise the bar level in our elected politicians, then I fear that our current downward trajectory of political, social, and economic decline will not change course anytime in the near future..

Newt

Get out of America. They don’t want you .

Go Global. You can do very well .

Beat the Stampede .

Thank you, Newt. I still REALLY like him and hope that he’ll stay on the national stage one way or another. We still need him, even if he will not be our nominee.
Still, I would have crawled over broken glass to watch him debate 0bama. Maybe he will give Mitt some pointers, not because Mitt deserves it, but because Newt is awesome and wants Obama out of office as badly as we do.
