This is the end, my friend

This is the end, my friend

I’ll have updates on tonight’s primaries if anything interesting happens.

But since I’ll be sitting in a dark room with the door locked and the window shades drawn imagining it’s 1971, please only disturb me if it’s really important, like if it turns out Obama ate more than one dog:

Obama is such a liar. Setting up the May 1 #Occupy with his lousy dishonest speech, and pretend concern about student loans.. Liar. Liar. Liar.

Professor, we need you on this long, ugly slog upon which we are about to embark, but I understand your sentiment. Rose, the RNC had best run non-stop ads telling these college kids that their interest is funding ObamaCare, whilst they wait tables or work at call centers. Unfortunately, Romney cannot possibly say he supports a doubling of the interest rates. We got outfoxed on this one. But, slog forward I shall.

[…] There are no celestial choirs singing tonight except on Youtube. This is the end. […]

When I went to vote at 1:00 pm, in my extremely D district in Brooklyn, the place was practically empty; there were about six poll workers plus a policeman, and only two voters including me. In my “election district” (the smallest subdivision of the roll) I was voter #6.

NY allocates most of its delegates by Congressional District. This means that since there are very few registered Republicans in my district (even those who regularly vote R usually register as D so they can vote in the D primaries, since for most offices those are the real election), my vote carries far more weight than most those cast in less heavily D districts, let alone in R ones. I can’t see how this is at all fair, but it is the fact, so there was a decent chance that my vote might actually make a difference, and thus I had to think about it. I wanted to vote for Not-Romney, so as to increase the number of Not-Romney delegates at the convention, both in the desperate hope of a brokered convention and so that Romney get slightly less cocky than he might.

To maximise the chance of my vote tilting the balance in the district against Romney, though, I had to guess which Not-Romney candidate my fellow Rs in this district would support. Since we’re demographically quite different from most Rs, the general polls are no help. I took a guess on Paul, so that’s how I voted. Since I am confident that there is no way Paul will actually get the nomination, I could afford to ignore all the reasons why he can’t be allowed to be president, primarily his apparent senility and his dangerously naive foreign policy; at least I didn’t have to hold my nose to vote for him. Once the results come in I can see whether I guessed right about the other Rs in my district.

Looking at the returns here in Luzerne county the 2 things which stood out was the low % of voters who turned out ….about 20 % and Luzerne county is about 2 to 1 democrat but as a % of the vote Republicans turned out about 4 % more of their vote than the democrats did

I have to give Obama credit: He seems to have a never ending assortment of purgatives and emetics.

If only……

Well, we have a known now. The next question, as it has pretty much been for me all along, is FOCUS on the SENATE and HOUSE races – the Conservatives MUST prevail!

Thanks for keeping us posted on the Walker miasma. I really appreciated that Libertarian viewpoint. Funny, and clearly favoring reality and sanity. Hope the state can keep the election process clean and honest. For ALL those being recalled.

They washed the chariot at a pool in Samaria (where the prostitutes bathed), and the dogs licked up his blood, as the word of the LORD had declared.

Romney’s past as Gov of Mass., reflects what Romney will be in the future as President, as he has never veered away from what he was and what he is now. He is a liberal progressive, as he has so publically stated, along with his record as Gov. Thus he has never shown any ability, willingness, or propensity whatsoever to be either conservative in thought, policy, or action, ever.

Romney will be another Herbert Hoover, and will of down just like Herbert Hoover, thus destroy whatever is left of the Republican Party, along with America as only a Progressive Republican Party RINO can do.

Thus this will only ensure the survival of the Democratic Party, and more Obama’s elected in the future. But of course people never listen to the historical facts of record, just like 2008, but only what they want to hear and believe.

This is why we have consequences of elections when the wrong person is elected to high office in the first place, let alone again..

[…] UPDATE: Prof. Jacobson: “Please only disturb me if it’s really important, like if it turns out Obama… […]

For crying out loud, Dr. Jacobson! In 1971 you couldn’t have been more than 11 years old. Don’t tell me you were a Doors fan at that age.

I am more likely to believe Romney is a cons, conserv, er, conserva…. No, sorry I just can use those two words in the same sentence and keep a straight face…

Yep. We’re done. The country is pretty much screwed no matter which one gets it in the general. Obamaromney or Romnobama. We may as well start digging in and hope we can pick up the pieces when the whole thing falls down.

Mike Castle would have kicked Christine O’Donnell’s a@# tonight. Republican voters in Deleware have shown re-education camps work.

You know, I honestly cannot figure this one out. No one is able to tell me why I should vote for Romney other than “he’s not Obama.” No one. Even his supporters can’t come up with a single reason.
Look at what Romney accomplished as governor:

Stricter gun controls.
Gay marriage
state funded/cheap abortions
climate change regulations
higher fees (not taxes, no, *ahem* of course not)
state mandated healthcare
lost 18,000 jobs when every other state was gaining

Do you know what that list is? That’s a liberal’s wet dream. That is what Obama just WISHES he could accomplish but …
he’s on OUR side?
Really?

I’m so confused.

Well folks, there are three outcomes with this election and what starts happening afterward.

1. Mitt wins, proves the doubters wrong and governs as a conservative – and the GOP rebounds.

2. Mitt wins, but reveals he is no different than Obama, which puts a nail in the GOP Coffin. Possible to see the birth of a third party breaking away from GOP that’s been left on life support.

3. Obama wins. GOP is left crushed, unable to even find life support. Probability of formal third part emerging much higher in scenario #2.

But all of that is if (and that is a BIG if), if we make it to Nov 6.

DocWahala, says the next wave of OWS. What we saw last year will pale against the ferrocity about to be unleashed.

Seriously folks… The more I look at the OWS, the scarier it looks. Combine that with a storm about to be unleashed if the Zimmerman trial has a verdict which incites even more violence. I fear the days ahead should these two forces merge.

Yes, it is the end, in more ways than one.

The way I am feeling today, November 6th, will not happen. When the MSM is now saying “Mitt Romney is NOT cool.” “Barack Obama IS cool.”

Is this the way we elect Presidents now?
