Norway – The Warning Signs Were There

Norway – The Warning Signs Were There

Consider me a fan of Norway.  I traveled there extensively in my youth, and still have friends there.  It is a beautiful country, with a traditionally pro-American foreign policy.  It saddens me to see Norway have its version of the London bus bombings.

Former congressional candidate and nanoscientist Mike Stopa notes that the warning signs were present in Norway, as noted by a Norwegian blogger earlier this year:

No one expected the barbarians to hit Norway. No one, that is, expect the people of Norway. And among those there is one woman named Hege Storhaug who anticipated it most clearly and cruelly. Her thoughts on the subject are frighteningly prescient. Storhaug begins this piece with a bit of optimism, crediting Germany’s Merkel and France’s Sarkozy with standing up to the catastrophe of multiculturalism.

Europe is finally waking up to the threat posed by decades of policies which preached tolerance, yet bred the exact opposite: an intolerance by many immigrants, particularly Islamists, for the values of their new homelands.

She notes however that in Norway last summer, 3000 men “many of them in long coats, ankle-high baggy pants and full beards” gathered in the same place that “Nazi thug” Vidkun Quisling gathered in the 1930′s to denounce the Jews. The Islamists last summer explicitly denounced Western Civilization and threatened a new 9/11 on Norwegian soil.

Much as in Sweden, the rise of radical Islam in Norway also led to a rise in anti-Semitism and anti-Israeli sentiment, particularly among leftists who found a common cause.

I suspect that nothing will be the same in Norway.

Update:  The NY Times reports:

A threat assessment released in March by the Norwegian police said that though support for extremist Islamic terrorism was not widespread, “activity in certain communities” meant that the threat level would be heightened in 2011. “Some extreme Islamists currently appear to be more globally oriented,” the report said, “and it is primarily this group who could present a direct threat to Norway in the year ahead.”

The report also added that Norwegian businesses and high-profile figures were likely to be targets. Three Norwegian men were arrested in July 2010 on suspicion of terrorism and were said to be a terrorist “node” in a larger global network, American counterterrorism officials said at the time.

Further, initial claims of responsibility by an al-Qaeda group are being discounted. An initial arrest of a Norwegian has been made in connection with the island camp shooting.  Speculation includes a lone wolf style attack and right-wing group targeting the labour party.

Deport the Muslims, even if they are born in Norway. Ban Islam. No society should be expected to live with murderous animals in it’s midst. As for the converts, if they want Islam and the hell it brings to societies, revoke their citizenship and let them depart for any Islamic country that will take them.

That’s the only sane way to deal with it, but most likely the people will continue to grovel for al & mo and insist that we need more “outreach”.

Just like we do here in America thanks to the culture of “understanding” that the government is trying to force on us.

And if it turns out he wasn’t Muslim? Current reports as of this writing leave that unclear. I don’t think we should generalize.

100% of all rapes in Oslo for the past 5 years have been committed by muslims. Eurodhimmitude proves fatal, but watch how quickly the progs and apologists will come out spewing “religion of peace” and “misunderstanders of islam” nonsense. Will Oslo be like New York and disgracefully encourage a mega mosque be erected in victory over the ruins of the destruction caused by islamic jihad?

Norway has been high up on al Qaeda’s hit lisf at least since 2003 when Zawahiri said this:
“O Muslims, take matters firmly against the embassies of America, England, Australia and Norway and their interests, companies, and employees. Burn the ground under their feet, as they should not enjoy your protection, safety, or security. Expel those criminals out of your countries. Do not allow the Americans, the British, the Australians, the Norwegians and the other crusaders who killed your brothers in Iraq to live in your countries, enjoy their resources and wreak havoc on them.”

And just since bin Laden was killed, Dr. Z renewed the threat against Norway in his latest message.

Perhaps the tipping point was when he misinterpreted NASA’s last mission to mean that Obama’s “Muslim Outreach Program” has ended too.

I suspect that nothing will be the same in Norway.

Pah. The ability of Euros to deny reality is legend. I know too many in Spain and Denmark who still don’t understand what they’ve imported of trouble. And refuse to do so.

PS it’s not 100% of all rapes, it’s 100% of all aggravated rapes (basically excessively violent rapes) were committed by non-Western immigrants (generally, but not necessarily Muslim).

See “Credit for Oslo Bombings Retracted”.

Credit? Why is the wording always “credit” and not blame? Because we are the Now Generation intent on bringing down The Man even though we are now he and have children to come after us. It’s all about our youth and glorying in self-destruction so that we don’t feel old or have to survive to an ignoble, enfeebled ripe age.

Worst part is most of our peers are too chicken excrement to overtly ruin things themselves and so are self-satisfied in merely egging on the real doer others, such as virulent socialist Progressives who send their kids to private schools (Michael Moore, Emmanuel Rahm and too many to list), PC racist-Progressives (Wright-Obama), multiculturally righteous Islamists (splodey engineers for Allah), climatic screamer fundamentalists/ carbon credit billionaires (Gore), and so forth.

Destruction is so much easier then building up and it turns some people on, especially journalists who thrive on bad news and crusading for the underdog against The Man. How pathetic that we still blame our parents and the system for our pie-in-the-sky ideals which were protests never meant to be realized and especially for our personal egos smacked by reality.

This might mean we might be overdue for an attack. I doubt Norway will be the last victim.

Right you are. We’ll be next in a cleansing rout or at least clarifying atrocity, thanks be to our self-serving, unclever elected-by-us morons leaders, self-acclaimed prog mavens who advise, and outre to banal trend-setters who opine and oppress via the press.

We are willing victims, can there be any doubt?

Ten killed Utøya

Young people are hiding and lies lifeless on the beach at Utøya. (Google translation)

“Acting Police Chief Sveinung Sponheim said at a news conference at 2320 o’clock on Friday evening that there is considerable reason to believe that figure will rise further in Utøya as the police are increasing neighborhood.
A witness says to NRK that it was used both shotguns, handguns and automatic weapons in the gruesome attack.

– A man in police uniform to have attracted young people by saying “come here” and then usually just executed them, said witnesses to NRK reporter on the spot.

The person should have been arrested in the 1920 period.

– The person is an ethnic Norwegian, Norwegian citizen and 32 years, said Sponheim. He will not say anything about the perpetrator is an acquaintance of the police. He will not be out of a motive, but confirms the discovery of explosives on Utøya.

There should be a relationship between the bomb attack in the government quarter and the shooting vermin.

Technical investigations will continue into the night.

WikiLeaks files show Norway unprepared for terror attack

“Norway’s intelligence service had previously been criticised for its failure to keep track of suspected terror cells and the country was felt to be complacent about the prospect of a terror attack, secret cables from the WikiLeaks files reveal.”

“Talking about an attempt by the Police Security Service (PST) to track one particular suspected Al Qaeda terror cell, a cable written by the US Ambassador to Norway, Barry White, describes investigators as “committed, competent and co-operative, generally”.

But he goes on to describe how they refused the help of the UK authorities to put surveillance on a potential suspect and adds: “Not only will they not put their own resources on him…but they also just turned down the visiting UK intel service’s offer of two twelve-person surveillance teams.”

The same memo adds: “The official police (PST) threat evaluation…states that international terror organisations are not a direct threat against Norway.

A memo written in 2008 shows how the US felt that Norway was not awake to the possibility of a potential terrorist attack. The cable reads: “We repeatedly press Norwegian authorities to take terrorism seriously.

“We will seek to build on this momentum to fight the still-prevalent feeling that terrorism happens elsewhere, not in peaceful Norway.”

Here is one of the workshops at Utøya the teens attended:

To fight against xenophobia

– To constantly be suspicion and rejection of a society does something to you, told Dagbladet’s Marte Michelet debate editor of a political workshop at Utøya.

Michelet opened to a packed hall on integration and immigration policy. She used her own laws as an example of how it is to be an asylum seeker to come to a new country. She expressed concern about the increasingly living pure Islamophobia that will dominate the public immigration debate.
– Previously, the majority agreed with the AUF. Majority community must adapt so that minorities feel welcome. Today it is becoming more acceptable to blame the immigrants and argue that any lack of integration is their own fault.

In her introduction she also warned against the blåbrune right parties that have gained considerable influence in European politics.

– After the Berlin Wall’s fall was Islamophobia the dominant form of European racism. The more unacceptable form of general racism, was linked to the Muslims. “They can not integrate. They lack manners. They’ll just exploit our welfare system. They are potential terrorists. ” All of this is found in the online debates in all matters relating to integration and immigration, she said.”

Labour Youth (AUF)

“AUF leader Eskil Pedersen believes it is time for stronger measures against Israel. He is impatient on behalf of a permanent two-state solution. – The world must exert tougher pressure.

In the morning, visiting Foreign Minister Jonas Gahr Store Utøya. He will, among other things, participate in a debate on the situation in the Middle East.

AUF has clear advice to the Norwegian government.

– We like to talk, but as we have seen so has Israel not been interested, and have not listened to any of the clashes that have been made. The peace process is the wrong way, and though the whole world screaming for Israel to comply, they do not. We in Labour Youth will have a unilateral economic embargo of Israel from the Norwegian side, says Eskil Pedersen told Dagbladet.”

“The Warning Signs Were There”

Yeah … and the same dismissive disregard of signs as that 1960s song:

“Oh, signs, signs, everywhere there’s signs,
Blowing up diversity, breaking my mind,
Dhimmi this, dhimi do that, can’t you read the sign?

And the sign says, Anybody drawing Muhammad will be shot on sight,
So I jumped up and down and yelled at myself, ‘Hey, what gives us the right?’
To think we’re better than others, just because they’ve a tendency to kill,
If Jesus was here, he’d tell it to your face, man you’re a wackjob Christian shill …

If it turns out to not be islamic jihad I will update my post to reflect that.

What do you do when a ruthless, hostile culture, bent on world domination through violent conquest, demands you tolerate them in your midst as they plan and carry out their conquer of you?

These morons who drive around with those “coexist” bumper stickers amaze me. Islam has no interest in “coexisting” with us.
