Huh? Staying On Course is Not Staying the Course?

Huh? Staying On Course is Not Staying the Course?

It’s not good when a political spouse has to jump to the rescue. It makes the politician look weak.

Michelle Obama’s interview in which she complains about the treatment of her husband certainly is not a first in political history, but this statement really baffled me (emphasis mine):

I think my husband has done a phenomenal job staying on course, looking his critics in the eye, coming up with clear solutions against staying the course,” Michelle Obama told Robin Roberts in an exclusive morning television interview on “Good Morning America.” “That’s what leadership is. But people have the right to criticize the president of the United States.”

Maybe the nuance is staying “on” course versus staying “the” course.

Which is a nuance without a difference because Mr. O is on the wrong course, and he appears incapable of changing direction.

Like a lot of people who think they are smart, Obama fails to ask directions when lost.

Esentially, Mrs. Obama spat out a mouthful of giberish with that sentence. For the First Lady to be so inarticulate presents a very bad image.

I can't help but wonder what she might have really meant.

I beg to differ. The Big O's course, such as it is and misguided though it be, is an affirmative volitional act on his part, and not due to any paralysis of the arm holding the tiller. As to his leadership, I posit he has qualified for the title of "Head Lemming."

no wonder she felt out of place at Princeton … she is a moron … who has never worked one day outside the private sector, ever …

When I heard her, it sounded like she said, "…staying the course….and again, staying the course." rather than "…against staying the course."

I might have heard it wrong, but…. Either way, it was such a lame MSM attempt, getting MO to try to defend her flailing husband. Most of us see he is not a leader; but, she's married to him. I guess defending her hubby is what she does best.

Weak and weaker.

What if Sarah Palin …oh nevermind.

She needs to write notes in her palm.

Obviously, the course they are on is different than the course they have articulated to the American People…..

Obama could neither stay the course or stay a course – he didn't have a course – just a pile of note cards without a thesis.

I've said it a million times over. It looks as if he came into office with a list and that he and his comrades had discussed all of the items on it. However thoroughly you review the items, if the list isn't prioritized, you won't get out of the harbor.

When she said "I think my husband has done a phenomenal job staying on course" she was talking about the time when Obama played golf in Hawaii. That he clearly did. He phenomenally resisted the attempt to get him off it by such little trifles as attempted terrorist attack.

A course is a course, of course, of course
And no one can change their course, of course
Unless the course has been set by Barack
The wonderful changing course.

Not much hope there…

I think, staying the course, thousand points of light, staying the course….wouldn't be prudent…to change course

I don't like Obama. I don't like Michelle. But she's not an elected official, she can say anything and it doesn't matter. It's small potatoes.

He, on the other hand….

Whew, what a relief. Michelle Obama says we still have the right to criticize the President.

What course is he staying on? A golf course?

Sheesh, when he comes to Australia (and I wish he would not come here), I hope he stays away from the golf courses…. would not want him coming to the one near where I live…. NIGHTMARE…..

Remember when Michelle O. said this:

"There are known knowns. These are things that we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say, there are things that we know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. These are things we don't know we don't know."

Remember how much fun the press made of her for that statement? Even though if you just take a minute and concentrate while you read that it actually makes sense, yet still the press just made fun of it?

Oh, wait, that was a Republican… never mind.

I would calssify the pants bomber as an "unknown uknown" in the Obama administration that would have been a known known under Bush.
We are being willfully blind to the threats under Holder/Obama.

The Ghost said: she is a moron … who has never worked one day outside the private sector, ever …

I'm not really sure what the problem with that is. I certainly don't mind government employees with private sector experience. It's the ones without private sector experience I tend to be afraid of. With that said, I agree – she is a complete and total buffoon – and an angry buffoon (with even less-attractive characteristics) at that.
